Ozzfest News

- And yes it has been a long while since i have had a chance to update the site. Some people do not understand that ones life does not revolve around a website. I am in college and between school work and my job i have little time to get in here and update. THis has been the case for the past month. It takes a good deal of time to update a site and i havent had that time lately. Yes ive known what the ozzfest lineup has been for the past month or so, and i knew it before 90% of you did, i just didnt have the time to post it. Therefore, dont email me raising holy hell that you think i dont know the lineup. For instance i received an email from a certain monkey piss needledick jackass(he knows who he is) calling me a dumbshit and telling me the lineup was up at ozzfest.com and that im a waste because i didnt know this. I did know the lineup and tour dates long before this pathetic excuse for a steaming pile of cow dung but just didnt have the time to post it. So for future reference if anyone wants to point out to me that i missed something, typed something wrong, or messed up in anyway, tell me please, just in a peaceful tone. Now back to business, this years confirmed ozzfest lineup is up as well as the ozzfest tour dates. And also Endo and Marz have been rumored to be added to ozzfest.
2-18-03
- Completely buried i snow, out of school for two days, hell yeah. Awaiting the pres conference in about 12hrs from now. I should be able to post up the lineup before i go to school. Anywho count Cold out because they stated they might be doing lollapalooza instead. till next time...
2-16-03
- and the snow falls. If anyone has a helicopter that can get me back down to Fairmont it would be great. ANywho, some more confirmations for you: Cold, Systematic, Shadows Fall, Unloco, Memento. Although these should stay on the 99.9% list, im moving them up to confirmed because of my extreme confidence.
2-15-03
- Well folks, the day we have all been patiently waiting for since January 1, 2003 is just around the corner. On tuesday there will be a press conference held about noon time to announce this years ozzfest lineup. This will take place at ozzys joint. But ofcourse we have a jumpstart on them with this years confirmations, and they are as follows:
Main Stage: Ozzy Osbourne (Headliner), Korn (Co-Headliner), Disturbed, Chevelle, Black Label Society.
2nd Stage: Marilyn Manson (Headliner), Killswitch Engage.
99.9% confirmed bands are: Systematic, Memento, Twisted Method.
Very Heavily rumored bands are: Anthrax,Powerman 5000,Hatebreed,Stone Sour,Otep,Cold,Motograter,Shadows Fall,Sworn Enemy,Grade 8,Hotwire,Skinlab,Slithyern.
So this will remain are partially confirmed lineup until tuesday when we get the official word, and until ozzfest.com is completely updated, until then, happy gardening.
2-8-03 (Part 2)
- Note to self, check all sources before updating site. Anywho, Wolvies Friggen Metal News is still alive. Honestly i would pick Wolvie over Sin anyday, hes just the man. Link for his site is: http://www.angelfire.com/band2/wolvie/main.html
Anywho, after combining all of the rumors and whatnots, Soil has been added as a possible 2nd stage headliner and Slithyern has been added to the 2nd stage hopefulls. Also Hits Daily Double has stated that Sabbath would headline the fest this year. Who knows..Until next time...
2-8-03
- Hello again my faithfull ozzfest attendees. Most of you are probably wondering "well damn this guy only updates his site once a week, he has to be getting so behind on news and its not up to date and blah blah blah" ..well i do realize that i only have a chance to update once a week because of school..but it is to your benefit, and heres why. Throughout this week we have had a tremendous load of ozzfest news and rumors fly in, and as the week went on, half of those rumors were proven wrong and were misleading and shit. All of this nonsense and backlash has even caused SMNNEWS to not post up anymore ozzfest rumors. So once again here i am to save the day, sort the shit out, and give you the most accurate rumors and the latest news. First off, The Used will not be doing ozzfest because of the warped tour. Black Sabbath was rumored to be headlining this year, but that has been somewhat shot down..but there is still a possible chance of ozzy pulling double duty and doing a half Ozzy Solo/Black Sabbath set. Linkin Park, Mudvayne, Deftones, Audioslave, and Queens of the Stone Age will not appear at ozzfest due to other tours. As of the end of this week the heavy rumors are shaping up to be: Main Stage: Black Sabbath/Ozzy (Headliner) Marylin Manson (coHeadliner) Disturbed (coHeadliner) Godsmack Korn Anthrax Chevelle Black Label Society. Second Stage: Hatebreed (Headliner) Otep (coHeadliner) Stone Sour (coHeadliner) Systematic Cold Memento Motograter Twisted Method Shadows Fall Sworn Enemy. Some notes on the above mentioned bands, Anthrax is ofcourse petitioning themselves to get on ozzfest, and if you havnt signed it sign the damn thing! Twisted Method apparently has passed a demo tape to heads at ozzfest and they "have the right sound". Shadows Fall is being pushed by their record label, the same one that got Meshugga on last year. Also one more final thing friggen Ozzfest.com is alive! The site has had a facelift and they said within the next few weeks we will be hearing some shit. Stay tuned. Also check out the Major events page for announcements on Summer Sanitarium, Lollapalooza, cd releases and more.
2-1-03
- To try to clear up any skeptics that there will not be an ozzfest 03, heres what ive got so far. A person from the ozzfest message board quoted "I just saw a thing for an "Osbourne" auction, mostly shit from the show, but one f the items is a VIP pass to the L.A. Ozzfest 2003 stop." And also Uk ozzfest ticket and venue information have been released. Also some big ozzfest confirmations for you here: CHEVELLE have been confirmed for the mainstage, and MEMENTO for the 2nd stage. Good to see Chevelle there, they have had a big year. And for all of you Slayer fans out there, dont count on them being in the US again this year due to European festivals. And lastly for this weeks new break Petition Anthrax for Ozzfest 2003! Charlie Benante from Anthrax is asking everyone to go petition for them to get on ozzfest 2003, this would be an awesome adition, i would go just for anthrax. To petition go to www.smnnews.com and click the link on the top. Do it now! Also there are some additions to the major events in music page, check it out, big news about a metal fest at Club Laga in Pittsburgh. Stay Tuned for more...
1-25-03
- HeyHo, added a link to the links page finally, for Chameleon's Den. Check it out. Also check out my new page up, click the link on the main entrance that says "Major Events in Music This Year". This portion of the site will contain cd release, concerts coming to my area (Pittsburgh), and anything else of significance. If you have anything you think i should have on there, drop me a line.
1-24-03
- Havent posed here in a while...been busy starting up the 2nd semester of college. Never, i repeat never take literature of the western world. Anywho i was supposed to put up a link of a very kickass video game website but its on my other name so ill get to that later. sorry about that dude. Anywho i was watching an episode of the osbournes and you all know they taped that episode during last years ozzfest...well they shot a clip of ozzy on the tour bus, and i quote "This is my last ozzfest, im retiring". And ill be damned if ive seen one update at ozzfest.com since last september or heard on single word about ozzfest 2003 from someone with some significance. This worrys me folks...But if we already have 2 bands claiming they are on ozzfest we should be ok here, but whoknows.
1-9-03
- Bert of The Used said they would be taking Hatebreeds spot from last years fest. I find this kind of odd considering Hatebreed kicked everyones ass for years to fight to that spot and they put on one hell of a show everytime. Although Hatebreed is supposedly headlining this year, I still dont see why The Used, new to ozzfest, can just jump right into a headlining spot. Im going to check them out in concert in about a month too see if they are worthy of this or not. But for now...so be it. And in other sad news it looks like Motley Crue will not be on the fest, Nikki Sixx stated that the Crue will not have their farewell tour this year.
1-7-03
- Rumors, accusations, comments, questions, blah blah, its a good thing im here to sort it all out. So many different metal news/ozzfest 03 sites out there claiming they have the best news first. Well im here to give you the RIGHT news 2nd. So you can be sure any confirmations or rumors on here have gone through a good 2 or 3 sources before posted. So now..on with the show.. Disturbed are about as heavily rumored as you can get right now, look for possibly a statement from the band at the end of this month, sources say they have been asked to coheadline and that they would love to coheadline because ozzfest got it all started for them back in 2000/2001. The Rollins Band will be killed from the rumors list, sorry folks. And its almost 100% sure that Poison The Well will be doing warped tour this year and not ozzfest, since they have just landed a mainstage slot on the punk tour. Well thats the news for today and hey..you got me...
1-4-03
- Henry Rollins Band has been added to the rumors list, rollins stated he wants to take his band out on the road this year, wouldnt ozzfest be a nice place for him?
1-3-03
- Just as planned we have our first confirmations rolling in already! Hot damn! Sources close to the band Systematic have confirmed they will play ozzfest. And lead singer of The Used stated on a radio station that they will be playing half ozzfest/half warped tour, and ofcourse we all saw this coming because of him dating kelly osbourne. And yes a few good rumors Otep has stated they have been asked to come back, and Hatebreed said they have been asked to headline 2nd stage. Everything is looking pretty good so far...
1-1-03
- Well happy new year to everyone out there. We are yet even closer to this summers ozzfest tour, the anticipation is killing me. Routine new year updates to the site. Rumours added to the bands/settimes page. Nothing too special right now, but look for some action here at the end of this month.
12-23-02
- Once again my main man Wolvie has a head start on naming ozzfest bands this year, or his predictions that is. Just to toss a few names out you that have a good chance of being there: Ozzy shold definitely be headlining this year, because of his new cd coming out this summer..the FINAL ozzy cd. Look for possibly Manson and Godsmack to be coheadlining because they both have new cds coming out and are fest vets. Disturbed is again a possibility, but with becoming so popular might decide to tour on the own (pledge of allegiance?). Bands with a 50 or better percent chance of being there are Papa Roach, PM5K, Mudvayne, APC, Stone Sour, Murderdolls, Audioslave, Static-X, Otep. Superjoint Ritual, Systematic, Soil, Flaw, Hatebreed, and Deftones All have a better than 25% chance of being there for their certain reasons. And yes Motley Crue is even strongly rumored. Other notable to mention that could be there: Taproot, Moterhead, Anthrax. Bands that have very little chance of being on Ozzfest, ones that you can quickly erase from your hopes and dreams are Black Sabbath, GNR, Metallica, Korn, Pantera, Slipknot. For a more indepth reason of why some bands are heavily rumored and some arent visit old wolvie at http://www.angelfire.com/band2/wolvie/ozzfest.html
...until next time...
12-19-02
- Ahh, nothing like rekindling the old ozzfest news site. Closing in on the end of the year, getting ready to break ground for 2003...Ozzfest 2003 that is...Hope everyone has a merry christmas and a happy new year..because destruction and mayhem is soon to come. Starting in mid january the news will be rolling in here; expected lineups, confirmations, blah blah. Ladys and Gentlemen, this will be the year. Look for it to be the 2nd to last, or possibly the last for great Ozzy. Word from camp Zakk Wylde is that he will be in the process of working on the LAST ozzy album next year. So im pushing towards a final Black Sabbath appearance this year, and a final ozzy show in 2004, if all goes well. So many possible bands to put on this year, im not even going to mention names. Oh yeah, and as for the other half of the site, el lolla land. Its toast, im pretty sure lolla is going back this year, according to statements last summer, but hell with them. Im thinking of either turning it into a collection of tours, like giving you tidbits on the AC/DC, Metallica, etc tours...or...rumor has it Aerosmith are wanting to try an ozzfest type tour this summer, Aerofest?..time will tell..until next year..this is mike signing off
peace
5-20-02 (Part 2)
- POD will not be playing the ozzfest show in Atlanta, who knows why or whatever.
5-20-02
- Ozzfest.com has changed a little bit, added a merchandise section, otv's, other stuff. Andrew WK and Lost Prophets are now on the ozzfest site. Since the lineups for every UK show are different you can view each seperate lineup here http://www.ozzfest.com/tour_popups/tour_lineup.html
5-16-02
- An update from Wolvie on our "Lost W K". Lost Prophets made a statement at a concert about 2 nights ago that they are still on ozzfest. And Jack Osbourne made a statement on the Howard Stern show a day or so ago and said Andrew WK is stil on ozzfest.
5-14-02 (Part 2)
- Some info on our reappearing disappearing Andrew WK and Lost Prophets from my main man Wolvie. Due to backlast and absolute hellraising from ozzfest fans Andrew WK have stepped off the tour. As for Lost Prophets, not sure yet what happened to them, but Dillusion, a band found and signed by Jack Osbourne, are slated to take a slot on the 2nd stage. And yes these are all just heavy rumors until we get an official confirmation.
5-14-02
- UK set list times for the May 25th castle whatever ozzfest are up on the bands page. Bands page will be renamed to Bands/Set Times, whoopeedo. Anywho, they really screwed things up here, the 2nd stage bands and main stage bands will be playing at the same damn time, what the hell is that, so you will have 2 of your favorite bands playing at the same time all day, bullshit, they better not pull that in the US. Also a couple US dates have been changed.
5-11-02
- Flaw and Cyclefly have been added to the never ending UK list of bands for May 25th, which is just around the corner..
5-7-02
- Ill try to keep todays news short, so here it is: Zakk Wydles BLS has dropped off the Dutch ozzfest due to management touring problems, so piss on the dutch. Earshot has been confusing me lately, back way way when they were rumored to be on ozzfest, and that was shot down whent he lineup came out, but if you check out the pittsburgh ozzfest details at ticketmaster it has Earshot listed, and also yesterday a DF on a Hartford radio station said Earshot would be playing at their ozzfest. So are they? Are they replacing one of out disappearing reappearing bands? only time will tell...
5-6-02
- Some of you may or may not of noticed at ozzfest.com they do not mention Andrew WK or Lost Prophets. According to mr crossbreed1 they have just "forgot to put them up" odd to me. But according to our pal wolvie they may have dropped off ozzfest which brings us to, and you thought they were all done, a rumor! Here is the article from WOlvie: "Sooo in this vile underground music news business we are in, rumors are flying around that Andrew WK has dropped off of his leg of the tour, and Lostprophets off the entire tour. Other rumors suggest that Seether is now doing both halves of the tour, and another band is set to replace the Lostprophets, possibly Nonpoint or American Head Charge. It's all just rumors right now, but stay tuned for word on this. Evil J from OTEP has also stated to a close friend of WSMN news that OTEP might do the full tour. So if WK and LP do actually drop off, the 1st leg will be a band short, hence Seether (2nd half band) probably stepping up to take the spot due to other bands having previous tour commitments (Mushroomhead = locobazooka, Used/Sw1tched = warped tour). Hence it all evening out." I would rather see AHC and Nonpoint than those two whatevers. And Otep doing the full tour would be nice, soo, we'll see what the week brings...
5-3-02
- Some pretty good news here, the ozzfest.com site is finally up and running with a new look all fancy and stuff, and yes the ozzfest board is back up and running too, so go check them out. Also Onesidezero, the band that was confirmed for ozzfest until they split with their label are rumored to be back on ozzfest, according to a news article from Rock News Direct, dated May 4th?? and today is the third, maybe a typo on someones behalf, anway heres the article..
Onesidezero Set To Rock Second Stage At Ozzfest 2002 - RockNews - 6:25 pm PST..Los Angeles, CA- Onesidezero has scored a coveted spot on the Ozzfest 2002 Second Stage. The LA based band joins the prestigious list of former second stage bands that went on to multi-platinum success. The metal festival is expected to kick off in July. Onesidezero is excited to be joining the summer's hottest rock festival. Jasan Radford (vocalist) says, " We are extremely grateful to Ozzy and Sharon for giving us the opportunity to play and tour with some our favorite bands, and to be a part of the Ozzfest experience." Onesidezero is currently one of the most sought after bands on the road and has toured with the likes of 311, Incubus, Static X, and Sevendust. Their new single, "Instead Laugh," is currently being added to rock and alternative radio stations across the country in support of their debut album, Is This Room Getting Smaller,in stores now.**Dates, Cities and other details for Ozzfest 2002 will be announced shortly. For up to the minute information, log on to www.onesidezero.com...
So could this just be an old article from the past or something new, i wouldnt mind seeing them there, great band, but according to the new and imporved ozzfest.com, they arent confirmed yet.
5-2-02
- Flaw have parted ways with their guitarist, but dont worry theyll still be playing at ozzfest. Kittie and Skindred have been added to the May 25th Castle woop-de-do ozzfest. Wolvie and Sin are having a contest for backstage passes, check it out at their site http://www.smnnews.com/wmn/
4-22-02
- Info on when tickets go on sale for certain dates added, some places are already sold out so get your asses out there.
4-14-02
- Havent had any news for awhile, things are pretty quiet. I guess the lineups and dates are complete, nothing new happening there. The ozzfest.com site is still a joke. Tickets went on sale this weekend, if your lazy like me, go out and get your ticket before theyre gone.
4-8-02 (Part 2)
- Ok heres the deal with Chevelle and Ill Nino, they are both on the 2nd stage doing the whole tour now. And Jerry Cantrell has been rumored to be on the mainstage and American Head Charge might be jumping on the mainstage.
4-8-02
- Almost complete UK lineup was added, a few more bands to add. Ill Nino was added to the entire US tour.
4-7-02
- Ok just so there isnt any confusion, i wanted to straighten a few things out. Zombie took over the slot on the mainstage because he is a big name act, but he still is promising to have his straightup-asskickin rock and roll show. Soil was playing the 2nd half of the tour but was changed to the first half. There is a UK lineup out, i will have it up tomorrow, sorry for the delay. And some tour dates have been changed, erin and kelly are going to be pissed that they took the Jones Beach date of the tour. The new dates are in the tour dates section
4-6-02
- Well anyone that has been reading my site must be confused as hell, i decided to go on a 3 day getaway when a shitload of news comes out. The OFFICIAL lineup is now posted, with all the lst half 2nd half bands and all that fun stuff, Down is on the tour, hell yeah. There is plenty more news ill get to later tonight.
4-3-02
- Andrew W. K. was supposedly invited to Ozzfest, this comes from a statement at MTV.com God i hope he isnt there, i think the ozzfest people have totally forgotten what the hell a mainstage is, its where you put well-known popular bands, not some lameass 80s hairmetal wanna be band, they better not take rage/cornells place.
4-2-02
- The select bands on the 2nd stage that didnt know what half of the tour they were doing, well all but 2 of them now are figured out, so on the lineup page you can go check out which bands are doing your half of the tour. Flaw and Seether are still undecided. Still waiting on the mainstage replacement...
4-1-02 (Part 2)
- Boy did i see that coming, Wolvie and his damn april fools joke, Tenacious D is not on ozzfest as of yet, lets hope it stays that way, so we are still awaiting the annoucement...
4-1-02
- Well the mainstage replacement has been announced, and obviously that vote thing the had on ozzfest.com was a joke. Tenacious D has been added to the mainstage. They might of gotten 1/32 of the votes Foo and Slayer did, i would like to hope that Wolvie got some bad info this time, but hes 99% of the time correct, so damn...
3-30-02 or 3-31-02
- Some news from my source Wolvie: "From what my sources have told me, Civilian's replacement will be a band who has never played Ozzfest before. So, you can take Slayer, Sevendust, Static X, and Soulfly off the list. This leaves Down, Tenacious D, Foo Fighters, Nickelback, and a few other bands who might not have been mentioned in the poll on Ozzfest.com". So that knocks out four bands if he is correct, and you could probably take Down off the list because of Phils surgery. Heres my go on it, im not really hoping on Tenacious D, they are really music for the main stage, Nickleback would be ok i guess, Foo Fighters would be great, energetic live band. Early this week we should have it...Also if anyone out there is having trouble with the ozzfest board, Ozzministrator shut it down, too many racist posts to delete, so he just shut it down, so the Ozzy board is our new source for ozzfest info.
3-29-02
- Some news from the official site today, tickets will be going on sale for the US dates April 13th, except july 7th pittsburgh going on sale April 12th, Aug. 3 Columbus, Ohio Polaris Amph. ON SALE APRIL 27, Aug. 15 Cincinnati, Ohio Riverbend Amph. ON SALE APRIL 27, Aug. 17 Somerset, Wis. Float-Rite Park ON SALE MAY 31, Aug. 20 Kansas City, Mo. Sandstone Amph. ON SALE JUNE 22, Aug. 29 Mountain View, Calif. Shoreline Amph. ON SALE APRIL 14, Sept. 7 San Antonio, Tex. Verizon Wireless Amph. ON SALE MAY 18, Sept. 8 Dallas, Tex. Smirnoff Amph. ON SALE APRIL 26. The replacement for the Rage/Cornell band will be announced early next week, so stay tuned. Also the lineup page has been updated, every band is official except for the one to add on the main stage, and still not sure on which bands playing which half of the tour.
3-26-02 (Part 3)
- Never hard 3 news posts in one day, but this is big, ozzfest.com has responded to the Rage/Cornell breakup, you can now vote for the band you want to fill the open slot on the main stage. The choices are: Slayer, Tenacious D(to do the whole fest instead of select dates i guess), Down, Foo Fighters, Sevendust, Static-X, Nickleback, Soulfly. I would really like you people out there to vote SLAYER, but if you cant pull a SLAYER go for Down or the Foo Fighters.
3-26-02 (Part 2)
- Just wanted to throw this in, rumored bands to still take the main stage: Soulfly, Kittie, Filter, and yes now the Foo Fighters are rumored, that would be interesting.
3-26-02
- The Rage/Cornell band is officially off ozzfest, so look for a new main stage band to come. Onesidezero will not be on ozzfest because of breaking with their record label. Otep is playing the first half of the tour while The Used and Glassjaw will play the 2nd half of the tour.
3-23-02
- No New bands added so far, but it looks like we're loosing one, The Rage/Chris Cornell band is well...no longer a band, Chris Cornell quit the band because he felt his heart wasnt in it or something, So it looks like we might have to count them off the bill, no official word yet if they will drop or not. And ozzfest.com has finally updated to 2002, looks pretty crappy, but hey its an improvement. They have a link on there to a WWF site, pretty interesting, turns out that during the tour WWF Superstars will be announcing the bands and walking around signing autographs.
3-21-02 (Part 2)
- Ok well it turns out the lineup might not be complete yet, and im pretty sure its not complete yet because of the number of bands on the list. So here is a list of bands that possibly still could make the cut: Snapcase Onesidezero Hatebreed Kittie Darwin's Waiting Room SW1TCHED Cradle Of Filth Mindless Self Indulgence and Filter. So we'll see in the next couple days when the ozzfest.com site actually changes to 2002 if we get any more added or what.
3-21-02
- Well everyone, the big announcement is here, the bands, the tour dates, pretty much everything for the US has come. Im somewhat dissapointed and confused, kittie is not on the main stage or the tour at all, after that talk of them being on it. The main stage is a little weak, but there is Rob Zombie pounding out on the 2nd stage, so thats good. There will be more US dates to come, so dont get in a fit if you dont see your area on there. The US lineup is now up in the bands section, there are some bands that arent doing the whole trek. And the US dates are up. Enjoy
3-20-02
- Ok heres the news everyone: Thursday Ozzy Osbourne and Undisputed Federation Champion Triple H will be on hand to announce the OzzFest 2002 line-up! Doors open at 10:30 for the 11 a.m. ET press conference. So by midday thursday we'll have our lineup. More bands have been rumores announced as confirmed, but why waste my time sticking them up there if they could be wrong, tomorrow at this time the entire correct lineup will be posted. So, ill see everyone then.
3-19-02
- Ok as you might of or might not of found out, tuesday was not the day for the official ozzfest announcement, but that doesnt mean we dont have a buttload of news for you. Plenty of officially confirmed bands are coming in, from their sites and what not, such as Civilian, POD, and others that have left my mind. Otep and AntiProduct have been added to the confirmed list for UK. Wolvie came through and gave a list of bands that are supposed to be the ones announced on Thursday, the big announcement day, the list is: Ozzy, SOAD, POD, Civilian, Drowning Pool, Kittie, Adema, BLS Zombie headlines 2nd stage, Neurotica, Lost Prophets, Apex Theory, Mindless Self Indulgence, Flaw, Soil, Mushroomhead, Onesidezero, Otep, American Head Charge. Im just adding the ones from there that i dont have on my confirmed list already, and thursday we'll see which ones i have right/wrong. Also Talena supposedly left kittie, which now takes out the 2nd hot chick, and theyll probably throw another guy in the band, which i hope they dont do, i hope their not a dissapointment at ozzfest.
3-17-02
- Glassjaw has been added to the rumors list, it said on their site they were going to do some ozzfest dates, but we'll have it all figured out tuesday, so hell with the news till then.
3-16-02
- Ok, well it looks like tuesday march 19th we'll have what we have been waiting for. Im just glad we'll get some of these rumors taken care of; a couple new ones to add, Foo Fighters and Tenacious D playing select dates, which i thought would be kind of cool if they show up by me. STP declining the tour pisses me off, but oh well, i just wonder whats going through sharons head with some of these picks, and Drowing Pool on the main stage, they no where near deserve that. Tuesday it is...
3-15-02 (Part 2)
- Switched, The Apex Theory, and Adema have been added to the rumors list, pretty likely to see Adema on the main stage.
3-15-02
- Serveral bands have been added for Ozzfest UK, i hope to see some of them in the US, and the bands are...Ill Nino, Hundred Reasons, Mushroomhead, Nonpoint, Mad Capsule Markets, Danko Jones.
3-14-02
- Taken from a post on the ozzfest board "i just heard on the radio that the reason there havent been updates on the site is that they are remodeling it for 2002 and that it should be up again with a 2002 look following next weeks press conference and itll have the total line up for ozzfest uk and us", so it looks like after this mysterious march 19th press conference we should have our bands folks...
3-13-02
- A couple things to post up today, Civilian has been confirmed once more, so they will definitely be there, Adema is supposedly confirmed for the main stage, but who knows, theyll just hang out on the rumors list for awhile. And one more thing, supposedly on March 19th there is going to be a major ozzfest announcement, If there is one, it will be here.
3-12-02
- Lost Prophets have been confirmed for the US and UK ozzfest tours.
3-11-02
- And the amazing UK lineup is growing like wildfire, supposedly some Ukers have been hearing on their local radio stations that Marylin Manson, Slipknot, and Linkin Park have been confirmed to play in the UK, i have heard nothing of this, but if even one of those bandsdo then the US is getting a total kick in the face, the Uk already has, ozzy...system...slayer...tool.. US has ozzy, system, pod, what the hell else.?
3-9-02
- Yes it is official, Drowing Pool is confirmed for ozzfest 2002 according to their site.
3-8-02
- Drowning Pool at ozzfest? It seems they are, ill just stick them on the US list for the hell of it, better to be safe than sorry.
3-6-02 (Part 2)
- More confirmed bands for the ozzfest 2nd stage: Earshot, One Minute Silence, and Pulse Ultra. Havent heard of any of the three, got mixed reviews on all of them, some good, some bad. And also a handfull of rumored bands will be added to the rumors list: Hatebreed, Snapcase, Mushroomhead, Meshuggah, Jerry Cantrell.
3-6-02
- Well the 2nd stage headliner was announced, Rob Zombie, i was like hell yeah when i saw it, but i just dont get it, Zombie co-headlined back in 99, why would he go all the way down to the 2nd stage, and now theprp.com and wolvie have different bands rumored, and confirmed, so im really confused as hell. Right now, im just going to put up confirmed bands on what wolvie has, and what i get from my other sources. So Rob Zombie will be up as confirmed until more news breaks. And im taking Disturbed off the confirmed list, i dont know where the hell i got at they were confirmed.
3-5-02
- The day we have all been waiting for, well atleast one of them. Wolvie came through big folks, please visit his site, not just for ozzfest, but for everything involving metal - http://www.angelfire.com/band2/wolvie/main.html - he worked hard to get this through his sources. And what youve been waiting for, many confirmed bands for the US: Filter, Soulfly, POD, Civilian (ex soundgarden and rage against the machine members), Apex Theory, and Neurotica. Wolvie also knows who headlines the 2nd stage but cannot tell, its not kittie or down, the band played a previous ozzfest, see if you can figure this one out...
3-3-02 (Part 2)
- Should of stopped at wolvies (my main source) before i made todays news post. American Head Charge have been confirmed for ozzfest 2002. And also a heavily rumored band to add to this list, very awesome band to me, i really hope i can add these guys to the confirmed list...SLAYER...have been rumored finally to play in the US, alot of you might be saying "hell theyve been rumored for weeks", but i get my rumors from actual news posts on sites, not just by word of mouth, and i ran across a post that said Soulfly, Drowning Pool, and Slayer would be playing in the US, so boom theyre you go.
3-3-02
- Hope im not raining on anyones parade here, but Crossbreed will not be at ozzfest 2002 because of them touring on their own, why , who knows...
3-2-02
- Some band by the name of Trik Turner has been added to the rumors list, Some dude on the ozzfest boards was saying this band stated they would be at ozzfest, no news out of them being there, and who the hell is Trik Turner anyway. But just so i can be the leading source in ozzfest information boom, there on the list.
3-1-02
- Drowing Pool have been added to the UK confirmed list, so very good chance you might see them in the US, oh boy. Some band by the name of Slave Machine have been added to the US rumors list, some pretty heavey news of them being on the bill has been going around. Also just to let some of the Uk people know, i am from the US, and theyre possibly could be more UK dates announced that i dont have up, But they arent my main concern at the moment, if someone has Uk dates and wants to drop them off to me it would be much appreciated. One last thing, i added some links to the mysterious links page.
2-25-02 (Part 2)
- Put together a table to show the difference between the ozzfest US and UK lineups, more bands might be confirmed for the UK that are confirmed for the US, but im just not 100% sure, so we'll wait it out. And yes if you couldnt guess the Uk lineup is looking alot better than the US with tool and slayer on there, but im guessing they just havent confirmed all of the headliners for the US, whateverthehell.
2-25-02
- Big news today, first off Slayer and Tool have been confirmed for the Europen Ozzfest, lucky foreigners. I will be breaking up the bands page pretty soon making two columns for European and US bands since they will be different. And Flaw has been confirmed for US ozzfest, POD is very closely confirmed to play un SOAD. And American Head Charge has been very closely confirmed too.
2-20-02
- American Head Charge have been added to the rumors list, Talena form ittie said they had been confirmed, but no official word has been set out yet, so theyll just stick to being a rumor for a while.
2-15-02
- Taken From Digital-Noise.net:
Tool have been confirmed to appear at the Nijmegen, Holland date of the upcoming Ozzfest European tour, which is scheduled to take place at the Goffertpark on June 1st.
It's not yet clear if Tool will join headliners Ozzy Osbourne and System Of A Down at the remaining dates of European trek, which is scheduled to begin in mid-May and is due to hit the UK at Castle Donington on May 25th. A May 26th appearance at the Punchestown Race Course near Dublin in Ireland is also said to be in the works. Tickets for the Dutch date will go on sale at the end of March. (Now Tool is definitely doing a summer US tour so there is no chance of them being on ozzfest in the US, but i guess this rumor of them doing the Dutch European date can very well be true, they did do a couple Ozzfest Euro dates last year, so it looks like your Dutchians lucked out.
2-13-02
- And yes a day after i catch the rumor, Kittie has been confirmed for Ozzfest 2002, it is unsure on whether they will headline the 2nd stage or be a part of the main stage, but they will be there.
2-12-02

2-5-02
- Soil has been confirmed for Ozzfest 2002, i got this info from a pretty reliable source. And also The Rollins Band was added to the rumors list, i ran into a post that they had been confirmed to headline the 2nd stage, but cant find any convincing info, so theyll just be on the rumors list until further notice.
