First Section
Finn is a young knight-in-training that serves Cuan, the prince of Lenster. He is only a teenager, but he is mature for his age. Like the other knights of Lenster, his ability to use a spear is good, but not good enough, as Cuan said. Every day he trains to become a real knight and follow his prince to battle Trabant's army in their endless fight for the supremecy of the Thracia Penninsula. Everything he does is for Cuan because to him, he is the center of his life.
So it wasn't strange when Cuan asked Finn to join him to go and help Sigurd, Finn agreed without hesitation. Because of the danger of attack from Trabant, Cuan knew that he can not take many knights with him. So Cuan chose Finn because of his possiblities (Cuan knew from the start that Finn will some day grow to be one of the best knights) and his loyalty. Finn became very excited because now he knows that Cuan sees him as a special person too. So Cuan, Ethlinn, and Finn go to Chalphy together while Finn doesn't know how important he will become to his kingdom and his prince.....
Second Section
For 17 years after the tragedy in Barhara, Finn spent his time hiding in Lenster and its surrounding area trying to raise Leif. Lachesis joined him for a while, but when Nanna turned three years old, Lachesis left for Isaac. Then Finn had to raise two children, Leif and Nanna, for the remaining years. He lived in fear of an attack from both Trabant and the new Grandbell Empire, but he tried to keep the environment around the children as happy as possible.
But now, the head kingdom of the Manster District (which Lenster is a part of), Manster, is attacked by the Imperial Army. Rumors have been going around that Trabant plans to attack Lenster and take that kingdom of his arch enemy for himself. Finn, Leif, and Nanna feel great threat by this, and Leif is determined to reveal himself to the world and protect his father's kingdom. Finn urges him to stay hidden in the small town that they have stayed for many years, but Nanna agrees to support Leif. After a long talk, Finn agreed to go with Leif to the castle. Finn is now back on the battlefield, but this time he is fighting beside Leif instead of Cuan, the man he still admires.
This is the only character that you can control as a unit in both sections. I also like the fact that all his stats remain the same as where you left off in the first section. I remember Finn was just level 19 when he left (^_^). And he had not become a Duke Knight yet at that time (^_^). But thanks to him, I barely survived the first fight for Leif and Nanna. Only if I had raised one more level and made him a Duke Knight.....
Finn, at first, was not much different than Noish and Alec. But unlike the other two (especially Alec....) Finn grows stronger very quickly. The spear that Cuan gave him in Chapter 2 helped him throughout the game (^_^). Unlike Midale, I didn't mind paying the high price for Finn (^-^).
If you have ever looked at some of the other FE sites (the ones in Japanese...), you may notice that Finn takes a "special" role.... (I'm afraid, but those who know, know.... (^-^)). It's either him and Cuan, him and Leif, or just himself..... (*_*). I dare not say anymore..... because if I do, I may turn potential fans away...... (but I'll give a little hint.... go to Kirin and Kiwa's Home and look for the credits for the KiwaHime story.... one of those sites have a little bit of this..... I dare not say any more.... (*x*)).
Finn is one of those characters that had to go through a lot of hardships, but he has survived it all (^_^). This time he never married, but next time I will surely put him with Lachesis (^_^). It will be more fun to have the conversations between Nanna and Finn, too. Nanna will not just be a strangers child, but his daughter!! And I'll put Nanna with Leif like this time and..... according to those sites above, Finn's dream will come true. Fufufu.... (^o^)
