What a game this one ! It is the more special Square game that I've seen and perhaps the more fun too ! This game is divided at the derpature in seven little but exciting adventures (There is two new adventures to the end of the game) in different worlds and at diferent times...So you can start your adventure with a Ninja (Oboro Maru) or a Prehistoric Man (Pogo) or a typical young guy (Akira)...Even If this game is japanese (one more time...) and that it has the graphic type of FF5, that's a very agreable game that I like as much as a good Seiken Densetsu 2 or 3. But what's make this game one of the best, is the fact that in the final adventure all seven heroes are fighting together to beat the Big Boss "Mao Odio".

As You can see To the left, You play as a cowboy "Sundown Kid" (The brown one) wanted in the whole country , and you are found out by "Mad Dog", a Bounty Hunter (I suppose it's that). To the right is the fight for your freedom, and it's just the beginning...

That's just the summary of one of these wonderful adventures. What else ? The fights in this game are led in an unusual way : The characters move on a sort of chessboard as battlefield (You can see it in the upper right pic). This gives a new dimension to the game : the fights become more tactics and relies less on chance. The six others adventures take place in prehistory, in a space ship, in a medieval japanese world (ninja and samurai), on a wrestling ring, in a medieval chinese world (school of fighting), and in a city of our time. ...And with at each end the same enemy who is reincarnated in these periods and in these places.

  • Well.., Ok... Graphics are not fantastics but they are not ugly. Anyway I think and I'll ever think that is one of the best game that Squaresoft have made (All Squaresoft games are the best so...) and I hopefully wait for a next episode (Maybe I dream too much...). Alas ! Once again, I haven't at this time cool Links for this one (perhaps because it's japanese), so If you own a site or have files about this game, I would be very interested. If you need any help you can e-mail me too.
