NON ROLE PLAYING GAMES




  • TOBAL N°1 : Released : 08.02.1996 For PSX .
    This one is a Fighting Game in 3 Dimension . The Very Good Point of this game is the fact that the Character Designer is Akira Toriyama who had already made it for Chrono Trigger ! What else....The number of Characters at the departure is 8, The game is relatively easy and there is a very particular game mode in this one : The Quest Mode . There the game is suddenly transformed in a RPG Like in 3 Dimension with always the Fighting Game notions. But I honestly found this game of a medium quality level in front of what Square have done until now...Maybe it's because it's just their first Fighting Game ! I hope they will do better with the N°2 !

  • PRO-LOGIC MAH-JONG HAI-SHIN : Released : 01.31.1997 For PSX .
    This one is, as its name indicates it, a MAH-JONG Game which is a purely Japanese Game with which you can play up to 4 players. I saw a few screenshots and I prefer to do not tell anymore (as I have not understood anything...).

  • BUSHIDO BLADE : Released : 03.14.1997 For PSX.
    Another 3D Fighting Game but which seems a bit special : this time it is very close to simulation 'cause you don't have just to push on the buttons to beat your oponent... You can beat him after having broken him his legs or else or just kill him by hiting in his head with your weapon... So Fights can be very long or very short... Bushido is graphically beautiful but if you don't like to think a lot during a Fight this game is not for you (too tactical... ;) )

  • POWER STAKES : Released : 04.11.1997 For PSX.
    Huh....This time Square make for us a Horse Race Game ! Astonishing ! Seems to be graphically not too bad but I fear to do not have a lot info about this game 'cause this type of game is not really what I love from Square...

  • TOBAL 2 : Released : 04.25.1997 For PSX.
    The Suite of N°1 which have very good graphics and a better Quest Mode. The Fighters have now a "fireball" ability which hits very hard the oponent. Plus each time you finish the game in tournament mode, you'll get a new fighter or a monster present in quest mode. A Very Good Fighting Game this time !

  • DIGICAL LEAGUE : To be Released : 06.20.1997 For PSX.
    A New Sport Game from Square ! Now you lead a Baseball Team in SD Graphics (i.e : A Big head and a Little body) and you'll be able to play in 2 players mode . I'll develop this one when I'll have new infos...
