About the Author

Hello my name is Denise Sue Williams, I'm an 18 year old Navajo attending Tuba City High School in Tuba City, Arizona currently enrolled in the 12th grade. My parents are Rose & Daniel Williams. I have 4 sisters, Patricia Jensen, Pamela Jensen, Danielle Williams, and Rosielle Williams. I also have 2 brothers, Patrick Jensen, and Daniel B. Williams Jr. My clans are Towering House born for the Tangle People Clan, my maternal clan is Manygoats and my paternal clan is Bitter Water. This is how I identify myself as a Navajo woman.
My hobbies include running, reading, listening to music, beading, traveling and making new friends.
My main joy and happiness in life is making new friends while attending different pow wows all around the world. As of October 13, 1997 I have been dancing in Women's Jingle Dress. I was first iniciated when I was 12 in the Jingle Dress Society, by my Godfather, Joe Stands an Ogalala-Sioux of Rosebud, South Dakota and his wife Aggie Stands who is a Navajo of Shonto, Arizona, whom now live in Kayenta, Arizona. I am also the reigning Miss 7 Generation Red Rock Gatherings Pow-Wow Princess of Sedona, Arizona '97-'98.
Af for my future plans, well so far I've been just exploring my options. But if you'd like to see what I'm hoping to do in the near future, check out "My Future Plans".

I would like to thank you for visiting my web site and I hope you enjoy it. Please excuse me for any misinterpitation or mistakes that I may have made. I'd also like to thank my family and friends who all supported me and helped me to become the "women" I now am.

This is a picture of me and Dale TwoYoungMen who is a Stoney (Nakoda) traditional dancer of Morley, Alberta, Canada. Taken at Indian Creek Pow-Wow in Red Mesa, Arizona.
