Course 5: Big Boo’s Haunt
(Location: Courtyard behind the palace)
(Requirement: 12 Stars)

Star 1: Go On a Ghost Hunt
(Recommended: Vanish Cap)
Enter the mansion, and enter the second room on the left (the first room has a massive
piano that will eat you if you go near it). Kill the Boos by sneaking up behind them and punching,
or by standing with your back to them and backflipping and butt-stomping when they are in range.
Kill every Boo on the floor and a tone will sound. Go to the center hall
and face the BIG BOO! Stomp/punch him 3 times and he will reveal your star
and stairs will be erected so you can get it!

Star 2: Ride Big Boo’s Merry-Go-Round
(Required: Star 1)
From where you enter the course, turn around and enter the shed behind you.
Kill Mr. Eye by running around him in tight circles until he spins himself out of existence
and gives you a blue coin. Head for the circus music. Go in the door and kill
the five Boos. After that the Big Boo will show up again.
Beat him again and your star will appear!

Star 3: Mystery of the Ancient Books
(Required: Star 1)
(Location: Upstairs, second room on the right.)
Enter the room and follow the rug to the end of the hall, to the wall with the three books
sticking out of the wall. Punch them in this order:
1) Top;
2) Bottom;
3) Middle,
and a tone will sound, the wall will slide away, and the star will be revealed!

Star 4: Seek the 8 Red Coins
(Required: Star 1)
Downstairs
Red Coin 1: Behind the piano in the first room on the left (use Vanish Cap!).
Red Coins 2 & 3: On top of the bookshelves in the second room on the right.
Red Coin 4: Second room on the right: before the bridge.
Red Coin 5: On the ledge on the first room on the right.
Upstairs
Red Coins 6 & 7: Last room on the right: underneath 2 of the coffins.
Red Coin 8: First room on the right: in plain view.
Star: On the left of the Mezzanine.

Star 5: Big Boo’s Balcony
(Required: Star 1)
(Location: Upstairs, last room on the right)
Enter the room and jump to the platform in front of you. Wall Kick to the platform in the ceiling in front of you.
Walk through the door. Ignore the Blue Coin Switch and head out the next door on Mario’s
left. Outside you will meet up with Big Boo again. Punch/stomp
him 3 times again and your star will appear on the roof.
Long jump to one of the sides of the roof and then again in the other direction on top of the roof.
The "!" Box contains a 1-UP, and your star is behind it.

Star 6: Eye to Eye in the Secret Room
(Required: Star 1, Vanish Cap)
(Location: Upstairs, last room on the right)
Enter the room and head to the door in the other end of the room. Get the Vanish Cap and
race back and do the Wall Kick as described in Star 5.
Keep running until you reach the picture of Boo covering his eyes. Jump through the picture
and face Mr. Eye. Run around him a couple of times until he spins away and leaves a star in his place!

Star 7: Beat the Boos for 100 Coins
(Required: Star 1)
(Recommended: Vanish Cap)
Each of the Boos and Mr. Eye carry a Blue Coin (= 5 Yellow Coins). Beat all the Boos downstairs, upstairs
and in the Merry-Go-Round. Add the 8 Red Coins (=16 Yellow Coins), and the
Blue Coin Switch in the room leading to Stars 5 & 6 (=20 Yellow Coins),
and you have one of the easiest 100 Coin Stars in the game.
