| Hawk is a Border Worlder and a veteran of the Kilrathi war. He fought with the Confederation
for many years, until the Border Worlds crisis broke out and he decided to join the ranks of the
Union Fleet. Hawk is a true warrior; he likes the fight enough to think that wartime periods are
better than peace. Hawk's flying skills are impressive (he's a good pilot and a reliable wingman),
but doesn't match those of the Heart of the Tiger himself. Blair met Manley on the BWS Intrepid
after his own defection to the Border Worlds during the crisis. Later Hawk returned to fly for
the Confederation and he was sent aboard the newly built TCS Midway, flying with the Black Widows
squadron together with Maniac. He was killed in action, ambushed and outnumbered by a patrol of
fighters of the alien race codenamed "Nephilim". |
