My city would have all the basic amenities for a normal city (such as a ballpark stadium, bowling alley, shopping mall, etc.), but would have certain additions to improve the overall quality of life. Here is the list of the improvements:

1. An underground nuclear fusion reactor to power all the electrical needs of the city.
2. A self recycling water/sewage system in which even if there were no rain to drop in the city, the people would be able to live off the recycled water directly from their own sewage.
3. A safe, clean mass transit system so no one would have to rely on others to drive them anywhere around the city to do stuff.
4. The city would have to be by an ocean so the overall temperature of the city would be moderate throughout the year.
5. The most upgraded, fastest computer in each household that are all interconnected into one giant network.
6. There would be parts of the city dedicated to each ethnic group. (like Chinatown, Japantown, etc.)

First of all, my city would be on a peninsula just like SF. There would be jobs for everyone so that homelessness would not be an issue. If people aren't ready to work and contribute to society, they would be sent to school. No matter what, everyone would have housing. Me, the girl of my dreams, and my family would live in the fattest house around. The house would have a huge backyard, a greenhouse, and an observatory in the back of the yard. I would have a Porsche 911 Turbo, a 993 Turbo, a CTR2 sport, a Ferrari F355 F1 (with the paddles), Jaguar XJ220, a big LandCruiser, and a Mercedes 600 SEL for my parents. There would also be a racetrack somewhere in a neighboring city.

My city would be the perfect social state that would be impossible in real life because of the greed and selfishness of human nature. There would be a true progressive tax that would go all the way up to 99%. Universal healthcare, SSI, Welfare, all that shit. Drugs would be legal. Basically as liberal as you can get.
The city itself would be pretty quaint I think. No buildings taller than 5 stories high, and only then in the business district. The city would be on the water with a port and all. No more than 100,000 people living there. Public transportation a must. Incentives for people who do not drive. An awesome park of course, rolling hills, clear blue skies, mountains only 2 hours away so skiing is still within reasonable distance. Lakes for fishing, waterskiing, swimming. People would be distributed heterogeneously, so cultures will mix and learn about one another.

Everyone drives sports car that are all modified.No one can drive cars that look like crap, or else they get arrestted. Everyone has jobs...so there is 100% employment...althought in a real world there is never total 100% employment...and due to this fact, there should be no excuse as to why no one in my city can't afford to buy a decent car.With that in account, everything else about my city would pretty much model SF....(homelessness is gone though, since there is 100% employment).

Small, quaint, and clean. That way it would be easier to manage and maintain.
Also I like the small town atmosphere, grew up in em. Sorta like the Cheers thing, u know, the "where everyone knows ur name" deal.
Umm, I'd like a cool park (trees), alot of restaurants(food), and a few small nightly recreational places (like a bowling alley with pool tables or somethin, i dunno) (party). Oh and I would legalize gambling. . . cuz that shit is fun (majong).
And I'd like access to the freeway, close access but I dont want a freeway running thru it. And itd be nice to have a nearby airport (so i can get the heck outa there if the need arises).
umm. . .. cant think of anything else. . .maybe some tennis courts and swimming pools .. . .oh and i remember u can have like waterfalls in sim city (or was that some other game?). . yea i'd like one of those.

my city would probably be along the sorts of the emerald city from the wizard of oz in that everyone living and working in it would be happy and content. it would be visually pleasing also, probably shining and shimmering or something with a lot of bright colors. there would only be clouds that protect one's eyes from the sun's glaring light, but nothing like heavy fog. my city would probably be rather high-tech or at least caught up with technology, building- wise, with elegant skyscrapers and an efficient public transit system.

Hm, I think I'd like my city to have a lot of parks and forests, and it would be nice if it were near an ocean. Transportation is cheap and extremely convenient, and there are many interesting places to go and interesting things to see.
