A THIRD TYPE 1.5 TOURNAMENT

- Ari, Josh and I once again trek up the Northway to Clifton Park. Its another free type 1.5 tournament. I don't feel like playing but I do anyway. I am now the defending champion. Everyone knows that I won. People come up to me and ask if I won. I say "yeah" and they say, "still playing blue/white control?" Oh well everyone knows. But it dosen't really matter...

ROUND 1

GAME 1
- Of course I can't play a tournament with out facing a white weenie deck. As you might expect, he gets out creatures early and starts the beat down. And of course, I wrath them all away. I control the came with countermagic until I finally get an outpost (25th turn) and win.
GAME 2
- This game is basically the same. He hurts me early, but I get in control. He stalled with me at 2 life and I stay there the rest of the game. I win with tokens.
GAME 3
- The third game is played under serious time constriction. We have 5 minutes. He gets a few creatures which I swords and wrath away. Then I get a Serra Angel which he can not stop. Thats game. Sweep #1.

ROUND 2

GAME 1
- This kid came up to me before and asked if I had won. I tell him before we start that I'll concede all 3 games if he gives me an Abeyance. He says no. He Plays red/black. He gets early creatures which I swords and wrath away. I then cast a Serra...terror. Another Serra...2 Incinerates. I eventually get an Outpost. He complains that I win with tokens so I tell him that he shouldn't have killed my Serras. I win with 2 life.
GAME 2
- This game he hits me early but I get a CoP: Red out and an Outpost. I win with 1 life.
GAME 3
- This game is almost the same as the second, except I have 19 life instead of 1. Sweep #2. After the match, I buy my 4th Kjeldoran Outpost from him for $3! Near mint condition.

ROUND 3

GAME 1
- This guy plays Red/Black and splashes some others. He was a semi-finalist last week. First game, he hits me with a lot of direct damage. I go way down in life, but he's exhausted his hand. I get the outpost working and win.
GAME 2
- This game he hits me with a lot of direct damage again. I got really mana-screwed but I finally draw enough land. I get a Serra out when I am losing 10-2. He has nothing out and no cards in his hand. He has 3 turns to draw direct damage. First turn, he dosen't. Before his second turn, I draw a Force of Will. That's game. 8 straight.
GAME 3
- This game he gets mana-screwed. I get a Serra Angel early and then an outpost. I won rather fast. At the end of the game, I had 5 counters in my hand. Thats it. I was perfect. Sweep #3.

SEMI-FINALS

GAME 1
- This is the guy who I beat in the finals last week. He still plays the 5 color green. He casts a swarm of creatures. I need a wrath bad, and I don't get one. Its over. I loose for the first time all day.
GAME 2
- He gets creatures early, but he makes a fatal mistake. He mis-tapps his mana and he can't cast the geddon that would have won him the game. I then wrath and procede to take control. I win in a very long game with 2 Serras and an Outpost. I win with 2 life.
GAME 3
- We find out that there is no time for the finals so the two semi-final winners will split the prize. I get a CoP: Green early and he's stuck. I wrath 3 times for a total of 14 creatures. I takes forever, but I finally get a plains so I can make outpost tokens. I start the beat-down (or should I say token-down). His last chance comes when he casts Armageddon. I counter it and he Red Elemental Blasts that counter. Unfortunately for him, I dissipate his blast. I win shortly. I win again.

FINALS

There is no final match. We split the prize, me and this guy named Craig. He played the Prison. We never would have finished. Thats all for now.
