Welcome back to NESpresso, were online problems may knock us down, but we will always get back up again as we refuse to let anyone to keep us down.

If you didn't see what happened over the weekend, Geocities's upload system messed up the site, causing some of the files that were supposed to be uploaded elsewhere on the site to be uploaded in the home directory. This infuriated me as it took out this page. Since I didn't have a copy of my website on hand when it happened, I scrambled to pick up template file I stored elsewhere online & put up a temporary site closure notice. Yesterday (Monday), I've uploaded all the affected files from my offline site (where I do all my site work) to fix the site.

As for updates, there's not much here as I've been making repairs to the site. I did, however, create one new page called "Emulations, Copyrights & You" which covers Emulators, ROMS, & the legal mumbo jumbo that you'll need to know about them in a easy-to-read format. I've also made a few adjustments with updates to the photo albums (which Geocities screwed up on Saturday).

Recently, I've been MAME'd (that's NOT a typo) over the past week, playing the classic arcade games like Asteroids, Millipede & Galaga. It's surprising that MAME can support games that were created before I was born! I've recently gotten addicted to Asteroids through MAME. The game is so simple, yet so advanced for the time it was created. Even though it used only 2D vector graphics, it eventually paved the way for 3D vector graphics & fully-rendered 3D graphics, which officially became the started around 1996.

As for Project Nightmare, it's finally got started as I've picked up a PHP / MySQL / Apache book to learn the basics. Even though the software that's included with the book isn't compatible with Windows 98 (it's primarily designed for Windows XP/NT, but it also supports Mac OS X & Unix/Linux), it'll least give me some groundwork that I can build on. Until I get PHP & MySQL down, I probably won't move NESpresso.

That's all I have for this issue of the Daily Drip. If any other stuff happens prior to my next update, it'll probably be on my blogger... which probably needs to be update. I'll C'ya Latte!
