Stage Select with the help of sonic2
First put sonic2 cart in the genesis system then do the sonic2 stage select code. Next at the Stage Select Screen quickly (without turning off Genesis) pull out the sonic2 cart and plug in the sonic3 cart then hold Up, A, and Start Buttons, then Press the Reset Button (without letting go of the buttons on the controler) when the sonic3 title screen appears (now you can let go of the buttons) press Up twice to get the sound test option on the title screen (Note: Mushroom Valley, Flying Battery, and Sandopolis Zones will not work (but you can listen to the music) unless you have Sonic & Knuckles locked on)
