Level 10: Operation Icarus
Have your Green Beret crawl around behind the next wall to your right when the two patrolling guards are looking away and the three-man patrol is nowhere nearby. Then, when they move away again, sprint out, knife the standing guard by the wall, and carry his body back behind the wall where it can't be seen. Once the three guards pass by, time your run with both the guard patrolling to the north and the one to the south who walks in a triangle pattern. When both are looking away, sprint across and kill the one to the north with your knife. Hide the body, and then do the same to the one to the south and hide his body as well. When the three-man patrol passes, have the Green Beret kill the single guard to the south. As the patrol moves past the position where your other commandos are waiting, the Driver can run out behind them and take them all out with the machine gun without fear of detection. Have the men then move south next to the wall of the base opposite of where the prisoner is. The Green Beret should run down the length of the wall when the guard patrolling outside moves away. Bury yourself close to where he stops and turns around and then pop out and kill him when the two guards inside the base aren't looking. Move his body up against the wall where it can't be seen. Scale the wall just north of your position and drop in behind the crates, next to where the prisoner's door is. Run out and kill the guard patrolling next to the prisoner when the guard to the south is moving away. Quickly hide the body behind the crates where you were. Watch the guard who patrols next to the weapons store and when he is moving right and then up on his patrol, and the guard along the inside of the wall is moving down, sprint down and knife the guard along the wall and hide him behind the crates along the south wall. Then kill the guard next to the weapons store as he moves away from you.
You can now easily kill the guard at the corner of the cage where the prisoner is and hide his body behind the crates to his SW. Then free the prisoner. The Green Beret can crawl over and kill the guard who is standing with his back to the crates and fence, facing the tents. Next you want to take out the guard standing to the north, looking down over the tents. Find the spot next to the closest tent (to his south) where he can't see you. As soon as his line-of-sight passes over you looking north, jump up, run over, and kill him with the knife. Then crawl over and kill the guard by the gate. Next, you can kill the guard patrolling in the NE corner of the camp by hiding next to the same tent on the south side and running up to kill him when he turns and heads north. Don't get too close to the fence at the top or the guard in the machine gun nest will spot you. Crawl down underneath the top of the tank that is hanging next to the tank body. Have your Spy crawl over nearby where he can get a clear shot of the guard standing between the two tanks on the far right side. The shot is easy, but timing it so that his death goes unnoticed is a little tricky.
Once you take him out, kill the guard who is patrolling right in front of the Green Beret as he moves south, being sure not to run into the line-of-sight of the guard standing to your left or the patrolling guard that appears to the south. Hide the body up against the wall, but not where the standing guard will spot you. When the lone patrolling guard is moving away, kill the guard standing to the west and hide his body on the other side of the tank barn. You can kill the lone guard as he moves west as long as the three-man patrol is out of sight. Killing the lone guard standing to the right of that lone guard is also easy with the three-man patrol out of sight. Remember to hide both bodies. Now it's time to get a little dirty. Position your Sapper outside of the camp, near the fence and in between the two tank barns to the west. At the same time, move your Driver to the section of wall that is down and to the left of where the lone guard was patrolling. Be sure not to get spotted by the three-man patrol as they turn right near you. Have the rest of your party gather all the way back near where the prisoner was held, and be sure that they are all crouched down and hidden from view.
When the three-man patrol turns and heads back east and north on its patrol route, have the Sapper quickly lob one grenade into each tank barn, disabling those two tanks. As soon as he does, have him crouch down and even move back towards his comrades inside the base near the weapons store. At the same time, have your driver get up and run to the tank to his right and get in. You'll have two tanks left to deal with. You can get one by moving to your right and killing it. The other tank will make for the road leading to the planes and patrol there. Have some fun with your tank, running over soldiers and mowing them down if you want, but you pretty much need to hustle over and pick up your fellow commandos lying in wait. Have them crawl in while your Sapper blows up the weapons store and then jumps in too.
Now move to the main gate and blow up the last enemy tank when it appears. Take out the three machine gun nests and move north. Keep checking behind you for a chance to kill more soldiers if they happen to show up. You'll have roughly four or five patrols to kill once you get up north. They'll all come from the left. Have the Green Beret get out and go over to where the barrels are. Place one next to the cockpit of each plane and the other between the tail of each plane and the supplies behind it. Put him and the others in the plane, except for the Sniper. Have the sniper shoot the barrel next to each cockpit to blow everything up. Hop in the plane and congratulate yourself on a job well done.
