Collector Review
Elephant Mud, we can't say that this is one of the best. We played it for about two weeks then gave up. Other people may like the mud alot. For instance, we were sent to this mud by someone who we met at Core. It wasn't very impressive.
Initially we thought this could be interesting, but after a while of pointless roaming, we pondered on the success of this mud. Lag, now that was probably the worst thing about this mud. The lag was incredible. There were times when we could pop over to the kitchen get a glass of water, drink it and we'd still be waiting for the catch up. Basically, coz of the lag we felt that we were playing a turnbased mud. For a game that was created in the UK because of the lag of American Muds, we weren't that impressed.
The players were friendly enough and we talked to a few here and there, but they weren't that interested for some reason. As for the Wizards of Elephant (Gods), well we couldn't tell if they were on or not. Having a god whose title states that he/she is 'bored' didn't really impress us either.
Another thing we felt was that, this mud was crowded, in the sense of how much there is to read (room descriptions, etc.). However we cannot say all bad things about Elephant mud. The newbie guide provided some good advice and directions helped alot and it was pretty straight forward. But if anyone from elephant mud reads this.."Until today we still don't know what to do with that kid and the newspaper!!:)".
Advice:Well we wouldn't say NOT to play this mud, there were quite a few people on line so maybe they saw something we didn't. Elephant seemed pretty good, and it does have a good newbie guide. We suggest you this mud for experienced mud users only. We feel it would be easier for someone who has had experience playing muds to grasp this one. Look at it like a challenge:). If you are, however, a newbie then maybe you should look for something just a bit easier to start with.
