Trained at the hidden Temple of Yengtao, Kong Yao Yang left after
many years of training to put his skills at the service of the
greater good. After exposing a corrupt official, Yang gained favour
in the eyes of the emperor's senior eunuch and became his chief
lieutenant. His duties primarily consist of exposing coruption in the
government and destroying warlords, and to this end he roams the
empire in disguise. One of his services involved the ridding of
Guilin province of a band of "Forest demons" - a band of highly
trained bandits who preyed on travellers passing through the forest
which concealed their lair. Posing as an itinerant martial artist,
Yang joined the band and eventually persuaded them to train him. He
then used the knowledge of their secret techniques to destroy the
band, and using their knowledge founded his own school of martial
arts in Guilin, blending Fa Yengtao and An Ch'i - the Ruby Tiger
school.
Huge, muscular chinese character with short cropped hair. Normally
wears sleeveless tunics to show off his arm tattoos, and a large
straw hat that conceals his features. Although a master of many
weapons, Yang normally carries nothing except a staff.
"Ha! Your Kung-fu is too weak!".
Kong Yao Yang was made up for a one shot game based on HK action
martial arts movies in which the GM said "make up a character who can
do all that stuff that they do in the movies". The original version
was the Fong Sai Yuk character also
presented on these pages. Then I discovered the other characters
generated for the game were in the region of 400 points! So the
original version got a steroid injection and here he is - the guy who
casually annihilates hundreds of guards on his way to confront the
evil eunuch in all those movies.
