Notes
Max Maximum was born in the slums of Kingston. He grew up big.
Real big. Unfortunately his easygoing nature masked an evil temper
and he could be pretty mean if riled. To this day he takes personal
attacks pretty seriously. He quickly got a job as a bouncer, and then
went from there to the bare-knuckle fighting circuit. He was so good
he gained the attention of some legitimate promoters and ended up
going to the States as a Pro wrestler. He termed himself as "The
Jamaican Man-Mountain" and became enormously popular in his home
country. But Max never could keep control of his temper and one night
in the ring he seriously injured an opponent. That was the end of his
pro wrestling career. He got out of the country pretty fast and
although his lawyers got the charges reduced to "negligent injury" he
never went to trial. These days Max owns a popular bar in Kingston -
"The Jamdown Cafe". He is usually in attendance, since he enjoys the
crowds and the socialising - and it doesn't hurt to keep an eye on
things! He is happy to talk about his pro-wrestling days and is not
bitter at all about the end of his career - after all, he candidly
admits it was his fault and besides, he's happy tending bar these
days....
Identifying Quote "Yo don' stop messin' wit me, ah gonna get evil

Notes Max's martial arts style warrants a brief description. It is
a mix of dirty fighting he learned in the back alleys of Kingston,
the more flamboyant style he adopted as a wrestler and just plain
meanness. He relies on the fact that he is tougher than old oak. His
idea of a block is simply to take the blow and shrug it off. In fact,
he is so tough that in brawls people have been known to break their
fingers punching him and more bar stools have been broken on his head
than anyone can remember (his armour and damage shield). His other
fighting techniques are just as straightforward. He likes to pick his
opponents up and squeeze them until their eyes bug (the Crush),
simply crash into them and knock them to the ground (the Avalanche)
or haul off and belt them one (the Piledriver). If he get really
riled, he sometimes picks people up over his head and throws them
from there (Hoist 'n Heave), or grabs whatever limb is handy (arm,
neck, whatever) and wrings it (the Spine Break). Max has the habit of
announcing his attacks in advance and it is notable that none of his
martial arts maneuvers gives him a DCV bonus, so it is pretty easy to
hit him - it's just that afterwards people tend to wish they hadn't.
Finally, note that the CV modifiers in his Multipower are final
modifiers - that is, they include the normal modifiers for that style
of attack - Max's Crush is the normal combat grab-and-squeeze
maneuver which normally takes a -1 OCV, -2 DCV. However in addition
to +20 STR, he has purchased +1 level with DCV (5 points), and +2
levels for OCV with Crush (4 points) which makes the final modifiers
for this maneuver +1 OCV, -1 DCV. His throw manever is built the same
way.
