Grayson

Before you stands a large, dark-skinned man. He stands almost two meters tall. His forehead has bone-like ridges that begin just above his nose. The ridges increase in size as they approach his hair line. His long brown hair has a slight natural curl and hangs to his shoulders. It is infected with many strands of silver. He appears quite old, even for a Klingon, though he has clearly lost none of the power of his youth. On his torso he wears ancient Klingon battle armour, bearing the proud scars of many battles. At his waist, is a sheathed dk'tahg. His black leather boots bear tooth-like spikes protruding from the toe. Grayson looks into your eyes, perhaps searching for fear, before inclining his head slightly in greeting.

The personal history of the one known as Grayson is lengthy and convoluted. None who was not alive to see it can fully grasp its complexity. However, this brief abstract is offered to allow you some glimpse at his past.

Long ago, Grayson, with Ganith, his friend and loyal second-in-command came to Magrathea with a band of Klingon warriors, seeking to conquer the realm in the name of the Klingon Empire. However, powerful beings, the gods of Magrathea, ended any hope of that conquest. They prevented Grayson from receiving reinforcements from Homeworld, and trapped his small scouting force on Magrathea. Without warriors, there could be no conquest.

In time, Grayson came to think of Magrathea as his home. He founded the order of [Sto-Vo-Kor] not to conquer Magrathea, but to teach the ideals of Klingon honor and culture to its people. For many years Grayson, along with Ganith, led the warriors of [Sto-Vo-Kor] in honorable combat against many a foe. They warred against [Mocker], the guild of thieves, and vanquished the Stalkers, an order of assassins.

However, years later, these Stalkers returned under the leadership of GhostHunter with a mind for vengeance against the Klingon order. The two forces met in combat again and again. Grayson and GhostHunter, themselves, fought more than a few times in personal combat. GhostHunter’s cunning and treachery easily matched Grayson’s brute force and direct attitude toward combat. Though each had their victories, they essentially fought to a stalemate.

Seeking to end the conflict that bled throughout Magrathea’s fair hills, the gods made an offer to both Grayson and GhostHunter. Their powers would be increased; they would be shown the answers to life and the universe, and be made gods themselves. Grayson wanted no part in this, preferring the wisdom of a sharp bat’telh to that of a god. However, he was wary of the change in balance that would happen should GhostHunter alone achieve such power, and thus he reluctantly accepted.
