The Second Room

The door slowly creaks open and you peer inside. The room is dark, lit only by the moonlight streaming in the window. Wind whines through the cracked walls, blowing into the open windows.
You spin around as the far bay window bursts open with a sudden gust of wind.

Appearing in the window is a shimmering blue ghost. "Help me." She beckons to you. Her voice grows fainter as she fades. "Help me..."
You find yourself stepping towards the window. As if in a trance, you reach out to her. She floats away, motioning for you to follow. Without realizing it, you climb up onto the windowsill, mesmerized by the floating girl. You break out of your trance as you are taking a step forwards...
The fall is not as long as you thought, and you land with a thump, surprisingly unhurt. Rubbing your head, you feel that the ground under you is hard- like wood. You look up and realize that you are back in the hallway. How did you get here? Still bewildered, you get to your feet and look around. Your conscience tugs at you to turn and leave, but your curiosity gets the better of you. You reach for the third door.
