It is Halloween, so I must first start off by saying Happy Halloween!!

Well, mama is officially out of denial. She got in my car to move it out of the way, and noticed my ash tray filled with cigarette butts and the car reeking of smoke. So she came inside the house and here's our conversation:

Mama: "Are you smoking?"

Julia: "On occasion"

Mama: "I want you to stop"

Julia: "Ok!"

Mama:I mean it! I am very disappointed in you."

I have waited all my life to hear those lines, I am very disappointed in you. I found it rather interesting. And she actually didn't get too mad, but after about 30 seconds of her lecture, I got annoyed. And she noticed. So she was even more disappointed in me.

I went to the movies with Jackie, her mom, and Leslie. We saw "Practical Magic". I know, I know, cheese, but it was actually a very sweet movie. I had tears in my eyes a lot. Makes me want to fall in love.

Passing out candy to all the little kiddies was a treat and a half. They were so adorable. Which I find odd seeing as I hate them. But this one little guy came to my door (he was about 2) in his father's arm in full clown garb--rainbow wig and all. I about died. He was just so adorable.

Robin and I went to Herndon, Virginia for a miniature Halloween party. It was quite fun, though my mother made me come home by 2 a.m. and I didn't even leave Robin's house until 9:20 or so. GRRR. Wrath. But the party was quite fun, it consisted of cheesie horror flicks. And these friends of Robin make my friends seem like they have absolutely no personalities. Yes, I am quite jealous. I guess I will have to steal all Robin's friends. Uh huh. I am sure that will work.

And then I dropped Robin off at her house. I wasn't sure the proper etiquitte, so I asked her if I should walk her to her door. Yes, I should. (mental note) So I walked her to her door, we shared an awkward hug, then I ventured down her very dark driveway (Robin, get some lights!!!!!). I arrived home by 2:15 and found my mother to be sound asleep. GRRRR again!
