Chrono Trigger

Story:

The plot was interesting enough. From the very beginning of the game, you'll find yourself being sucked in. After awhile, it will be hard for you to stop playing.

Graphics:

Well, of course, since this game is on the SNES the graphics aren't the best. They are often overlooked, but in comparison to most SNES games, I think the graphics are very nice, especially in Zeal.

Music:

Chrono Trigger has some of the most amazing music. My personal favorites are Marle's theme, the music played whenever a "sad" moment comes up, and the music in Zeal.

Entertainment:

This game is very addicting (and entertaining.) However, there are some places I find annoying to manuever around, namely the Reptite Lair.

Overall:

I love this game! This is definitely the best RPG for SNES!

Final Fantasy 7

Story:

There are so many plot twists! This game makes you laugh (Cloud in Wall Market!), cry (Cloud places Aeris' body to rest at the Ancient City), and smile (at the end of the game, when Cloud talks about meeting Aeris).

Graphics:

The graphics in FF7 are some of the greatest I've ever seen. The characters' "polygram"-like effect isn't too great, but I'm not complaining. My favorite cinema is the end sequence when Cloud reaches for Aeris' hand.

Music:

FF7 has some *wonderful* music. I especially love Aeris' theme and "Interrupted By Fireworks".

Entertainment:

This is one of those games that you can play over and over again and never get sick of. It has mini-games, subquests, and tons of stuff to do.

Overall:

If for some reason you've never played this excellent RPG, then I strongly urge you go buy it! (You can buy it pretty cheap.... about $20.00)

Star Ocean: Second Story

Story:

Simply put, I **********LOVE********** this game! The story is kind of slow to some, but I loved it. Also, Claude and Rena are _the_ cutest couple ever. :)

Graphics:

Well, they could have been better. However, I'm not too picky. Plus, the FMV sequences are cool, and I really love the graphics in Celine's spells "Southern Cross" and "Lunar Light".

Music:

Now, Star Ocean had some *really* nice music. (I even paid the $30 for the soundtrack.) "Theme Of Rena" is absolutely beautiful, I really love how the voice kind of goes along with the melody... Another one of my favorites is the Shingo Forest BGM.

Entertainment:

This game is almost never-ending... if you choose to complete everything, that is. In this game you can cook, publish books, use machinery, customize weapons, and even pickpocket!

Overall:

This game *~*ROCKS*~* plain and simple! People who prefer simple RPG's may not enjoy it as much, however... This is definitely one of my favorite games!

Final Fantasy 8

Story:

I didn't like the story quite as much as FF7. Plus, I expected more characterization.. They did a nice job on Squall, Rinoa, and Zell, but in FF7 you can really tell a lot more about the characters' personalities. The story is a bit more linear than that of FF7, but it is still good. Plus, I love the love story between Squall and Rinoa.

Graphics:

The graphics in FF8 were some of the most amazing I've ever seen. I love the opening and the dance FMV's.

Music:

FF8 has some nice music, but I miss the old days when every character had their own theme song. However, I *LOVE* the song "Eyes On Me" and I hope to buy the soundtrack soon. :) (Even though the thing is about $65 at GameCave.com!)

Entertainment:

This game will keep you busy. It has tons of subquests, mini-games, etc. This is one of those games that you can play again and again...

Overall:

Though I personally didn't like it as much as FF7, it's still a really awesome game. Square did a really good job! I recommend you go buy it if you haven't yet!
