Like I said before, these are not things I'm proud of.  90% of these accidents occured when the critters tried to find out what the chicken was after.  (You know, why'd the chicken cross the road?)  Others were actions to end the suffering of wounded animals.  All were just sad.
All of the above can be divided into different catagories beyone confirmed or unconfirmed...
The majority were accidental involving a motor vehicle.  Some were what I'd call mercy killings.
The remainder had special circumstances.
Motor Vehicle Accidents:
1 Bat, 3 Birds,
2 Chipmunks, 1 Coyote,
1 Fox, 2 Frogs,
1 Groundhog, 3 Rabbits,
and 1 Squirl
(Also one unconfirmed Deer)
Mercy Killings:
1 Bat - this had a shredded wing, and had been starved over a weekend when I found it...
1 Frog - I was walking along a creak, and a large rock I stepped on slid across another one.  Underneith the top rock there had been a little frog.  The action of the two rocks messed it up, but it wasn't dead, I had to put it out of it's pain...
1 Squirl - This poor thing was eithor sickly, or injured, but it didn't have use of it's body below mid-spine.  The puppy starting taking interest to it, and it couldn't escape, so I did what needed to be done.
Other circumstances:
I've captured a bat to be tested for rabies.  those have to be destroyed in the testing process.
And I've helped trap Muskrats, which may or may not have been destroyed.
