Anyone who knjows RPGs should know the LUNAR series, with its unforgettable cast of characters, and wonderfully twisting storyline. Now, the game that started it all, LUNAR: the Silver Star, has been ported to the PSX, and I'm glad to say it's better than ever. The graphics may not be much, but the movie-quality(and I MEAN movie quality) anime cutscenes more than make up for this. The music is well done and very enjoyable. The storyline is wondergully crafted, featuring some of the most unforgettable characters to grace an RPG. An interesting fact, though, is that the story is quite different from the original's in many aspects. Unfortunately, the game is very linear, and quite short. An average RPGer can finish it in under 25 hours. Petty differences aside, I give this title a 9.3 because it is an experienct that no self-respecting RPG fan should miss.
