Genso Suikoden

Genso Suikoden is one of Konami's first(and best) attempts at RPG making. Obviously, they knew what they were doing from the start. With 108 characters to obtain throughout the game, this game is a unique experience every time you play through. Also, some parts are just plain cool(who wouldn't want to own a castle??) Also, as the game progresses, people you recruit will set up shops and businesses in your castle, thus making it bigger. Also, there are three different types of battles(standard RPG-Style, War Sim, and One-on-one Duel). The graphics are clean, and the sound is so-so. This game is far from the top, however, since character development is close to nil. Also, the game only has 2 endings(the second one is almost impossible to get) and after a while, the battles DO get redundant. Even so, this game gets an 8.6 because Even though the game has its good points(like a great story), it does have its bad parts.
