San Francisco by Night
Nadia Dimir
Born and then adopted into a rich family, French Archaeologist born
in Switzerland and then placed into adoptive care after the disappearance of her parants,
Nadia was given the best that any child could ask for. Nadia was a very creative young
girl and her step-parents did anything to keep that imagination from dying out as it so
happened with other children born into such prestigous families.
Nadia's love for cultures and mythology of old was well recieved by her father Michael,
who worked at UCLA and UCSC in the Archaeology department. Nadia soon found herself
enrolling into UCLA majoring in, of course, Archaeology and Journalism. Her love for such
works sending her all over the world accompanying her father and also, giving her a heads
up in her required field works. Her travels with her father took her to Turkey and Arabia,
Egypt and Switzerland where there, her father told her on her 20th birthday of being
adopted.
Her father handed over to her a box containing her adoption papers, a few old photos and a
signet ring, infoming her that it had to be the crest of her family, yet there wasn't much
that could be found on the disappearance of her parents. Nadia felt her life falling apart
around her, learning that the two people she loved where not even her real parents and she
began to spend more and more time on her studies at the university and creating a paper,
Spinx, a newsletter for the Archaeology department once back in the States.
Spinx turned out to be one of Nadia's best moves, the paper a dedication to the
supernatural and mystical events of numerous countries that she visited. (Note: The
mention of supernatural does not necessarily mean she knows of the WoD supernatural.
Mythology of other cultures put to paper, that's what this refers too) And with the
creation of Spinx, Nadia spent more of her time dealing with its success than with dealing
with who she really was and the items given to her by her step-father.
Still doing her studies at UCLA, Nadia has accepted a week-end job at San Francisco's, The
Metropolitan and also working part time at the Academy of Sciences in San Francisco and at
the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose. There she is currently working along side
several other Curators learning the trade that she wishes to one day be a part of.
Recently, Nadia has gone through the process of transfering over to UCSC and Nadia's
attention has once again returned to the signet ring that now belongs to her after coming
across a letter from the early 1700s while working in the museum. The crest on her signet
ring carrying similarity to the crest found upon a letter but with slight alterations. A
midnight blue shield with a like colored diagonal bar from top right to bottom left. On
the top left rested a crooked moon in blood red with a tassle of grapes underneath on a
field of black. The bottom right rested one large blood red griffon on a gold field. Nadia
now researches to find out exactly what family crest this ring is a part of and in the
process, learning more of who she really is.
