the files that can be found he was born Alastair Joseph Raynard. He was found on the steps
of child services when he was a baby, with only a note with his name on it. He grew up in
the system, no siblings or relatives were found. He was nearly adopted, on several
occasions but was never kept, all the parents reporting something strange about him. When
he was 18 he left the custody of the state, taking responsibility for himself. He also
changed his name to Rufus Alastair Moray at age 18, a year later he entered the records
office and helped another change their name to Taurus Moray.
His first employment was at a club called Gotham, according to later records of the club
he became a part of a band that played there often... it seemed as if that was the life
style he settled into but things changed after an incident one summer. The police reports
state that there was an altercation between Rufus and an unidentified subject, described
as a shadowy figure. According to Rufus testimony, he interrupted the subject and
another man, and said it seemed apparent that the subject was attempting to kill the other
subject. He stated that he stopped the subject, and was turned on. When Taurus arrived the
man fled, and the police arrived. According to the police report Rufus suffered neck
injuries in the fight...
It then turned out that the other man was Lyle Darkling, the CEO of a corporation called
Darkling Arms. According to the records of Darkling Arms Rufus was hired on at a high
management position and rose through the ranks on natural talent, and Lyles
tutelage. It came to pass that Rufus took over the position as CEO, after Lyles
death. Rufus changed the small company Darkling Arms into Darkling Electronics and Arms
Contracts Operations National as if to cement his position as CEO. It quickly became a
profitable and far reaching company with branches in a number of major cities including
New York, Miami, Seattle, New Orleans, Chicago, and one of the most recent... San
Francisco.
