Prologue

The Imperial Flagship

Welcome to the final scenario of Shining Force 3, after the over view of the ship, we see Donhort, Kate, Bresby and the captain of the Imperial Flagship discussing the events so far. This included them wondering how Medion and Synbios are fairing and Walcuray impending attack on the Imperial capital Destonia.

After a short while Gracia joins them on deck and the 5 of them continue their discussion on the events so far, however they begin to sense that evil is near. The ship's main door opens once again this time with Julian also coming up on to deck, Edmund will be following behind him if you killed Stella in Scenario 2. If you didn't kill Stella them Edmund will not be here and he can never join your team in Scenario 3, instead you'll be able to get Produn, later on in this Scenario. If you haven't used a scenario 2 savefile then you will always start with Edmund, on your team.

However they aren't alone on the deck for long, as across the sea comes six masked monks, three men being carried by three Pegasus masked monks. The six of them are on a mission to stop Julian and his team from reaching Destonia, time for some more, sword and shield action, as we enter the first battle of scenario 3.

Scenario 3, Battle 1: The Spiralling Conflict

Battle Notes:
1. This battle ends when all the enemies have been killed.
2. In this scenario you must always field both Julian and Gracia, and if one of them dies you have to go back to the church, this is a real pain as Gracia starts off quite weak.

After the short cut scene with the dying monk you are now free to explore the rest of the ship, just remember to enter HQ last otherwise you'll have to wait till chapter 1 starts, to get these items. HQ is the door to your far right, if the stairs to the main deck are directly behind you.

Brain Food Found in chest in rest room
100 Gold Coins Found in cupboard in rest room
Small Mithril Found in box in corner of Headquarters

When you finished looking around the ship head into Headquarters, the minute you leave HQ you'll here the captain of the ship shouting out land, every one will come running out of HQ and head to the ship's main deck where they can see the lights of Destonia harbour, you may remember this scene from the end of Scenario 2. We watch the ship sail towards the lights of Destonia harbour and so begins Chapter 1 of Scenario 3.

The flagship docks in the harbour of Destonia and Julian and his team depart the ship, and head towards the town area of the port. However just as Julian and his team enter the cargo bay of the port they run into more masked monks of Bulzome.

With the monks defeated Julian and his team can finally move into the port town, take a good look round as there is plenty too see and do. Jotted around the port Julian can find the following items.

In which they discuss the Bulzome monks and Walcuray move towards Destonia after this scene has played out, two things can happen. If Edmund is in your team then only Brigit will join your team, if you don't have Edmund in your team then, both Brigit and Isabella will join your team. Also if you now speak to the old man in the factory he will, send out three Imperial soldiers to try and help Destonia, you can also enter the room they were in. The three soldiers will appear in the next battle.

Swift Boots Found inside a chest in the room in the factory, with the soldiers inside it

Leave by the main gate to exit town, but just as Julian and his team get half way to Destonia, they find that Walcuray is waiting for them.

Scenario 3, Battle 3: The Road to Destonia

Tomb:
Battle Notes:
1. Walcuray uses his Spark attack at the end of each turn, the only way to avoid taking damage from it, is to hide behind, the large rocks or in the pits in the ground.
2. Unfortunately those 3 Imperial guards don't last long in this battle, I don't think you get any thing for saving them as they tend to die long before you can reach them.
3. You can always hide in the pits, but Walcuray attacks do destroy the rocks over time, giving you less cover to hide behind, finish this battle quickly.

Having defeated the monks, Julian's team rushes to the gates of Destonia, only to discover Walcuray being commanded by Goriate, ready to attack the Imperial Capital. These events are also been watched by Mageron and Steel, who are also trying to bargain with Goriate.

With Julian team arrival, Mageron begs them for help, to defeat Goriate and Walcuray in exchange he'll let Julian's party enter Destonia, so the battle to save Destonia begins.

Scenario 3, Battle 4: Conflict for Destonia

Battle Notes:
1. In order to avoid being hit by Walcuray in this battle you must stay inside the slots in the wall.
2. The only attack that can damage Walcuray control staff is Gracia's Shining spell, when hit by it Walcuray will deactivate for a few turns and stop attacking you. However he will reactivate after a few turns and start attacking again.
3. You cannot destroy Walcuray, so go for Goriate when he shows up.

With Goriate's defeat, Walcuray leaves Destonia, and Jane shows up just as you're about to finish him off. Begging you to spare his life.

Jane
Jane

You must answer Yes to her question, you will spare Goriate's life if you want Rolly to join your team in chapter 2, otherwise Jane will become angry at Julian and throw a fireball at him, Rolly will also not join your team if you answer no. With that, Jane disappears with Goriate, with or without your consent and Mageron and Steel come out of the Destonia gates, to tell Julian and his team, they are not going to be let into Destonia. Betrayed by Mageron and Steel, Julian and his team are left standing outside the Imperial city cursing Mageron and Steel's names, they now have no choice but to return to the harbour.

Resume of Chapter 1

Having left Medion's army, Julian and his force went too protect Destonia from the coming threat of Bulzome and Walcuray. They arrived in the harbour of Destonia, only to be attacked by more followers of Bulzome. After the battle they had a meeting with the priest Scholar, in his church at the harbour, before beginning their journey to Destonia. When they arrived at Destonia Walcuray was poised to attack Prince Mageron and General Steel in the Imperial Castle. Julian's army managed to fight off Walcuray and defeated the high priest Goriate who was controlling it. Only to be betrayed Mageron and Steel, who refused Julian's force entry into Destonia. They now have to find a different way to Aspia.
