Arriving back in the Destonia harbour things aren't looking
to good for Julian and his team. Not only has Mageron betray them,
by not allowing them to visit Destonia but he and Steel are planning
to send an Imperial pursuit force after them. Trapped like rats
Julian turns to Scholar once again for aid. If you missed any items
in chapter 1 now is the time to pick them up, when you're ready
to move on, meet with Scholar in the church.
After informing Scholar of every thing
that has happened so far, Scholar show Julian a secret passage which,
will allow then too escape, Destonia for the Republic. It's at this
point Cyclops decides to join Julian's team and help guide them
through the Cavern's ahead. Just before you leave Scholar warns
you that the passages haven't been used in a long time and they
may well be infested with monster. Sure enough as you enter the
cavern you come across the Bone Lord and his monsters blocking your
way, time to kill some undead.

Battle Notes:
1. Watch out there are a lot of reinforcements on this battle
and with the layout of this battle, it's possible for you
to get a team member facing off against 3 or 4 enemies alone!
2. Some of the bridges will collapse after you walk over them,
meaning no going back the way you came. You can tell the one
which are going to break as they have holes in them and the
ropes look weak.
3. You can't end a character's movement phase on a bridge,
Bresby will say that they are too weak to hold your weight.
4. The Bone Lord doesn't show up until you have almost reached
the exit. |
As
the Bone Lord falls to the ground he causes a cave-in, which block's
the main cave exit, the only passage left for them to take is the
one which leads to dragon valley! If you spared Goriate at the end
of chapter 1 Jane will now appear and give you Rolly as a gift for
allowing Goriate to live.
After
Rolly has joined the team start to look around Dragon valley, all
of a sudden a dragon appears and Cyclops attempts to speak with
it. Out of no where Donhort dives into Cyclops pushing him out of
the way, just as the Dragon shoots flames at him. It's clear the
dragons don't want any one to pass and with this being your only
road out of Destonia you have only one choice.

Battle Notes:
1. Thousand will not appear till you get about half way across
the valley.
2. Do not kill Thousand, instead get Cyclops to speak with
him.
3. The tomb in this battle is the only tomb you can reenter
if you have been in it before. |
If
you want Thousand to join you then get Cyclops to stand next to
him, and get him to talk to him this will end the battle and Thousand
will join Julian's force. He is an excellent team member so don't
kill him, if Cyclops kills Thousand then he will become a computer
controlled character and will not be playable. If any one else kill
Thousand then he will die and you will have lost a valued team member.
With
Thousand's now part of your team and the way now clear of enemies
Julian can now head to the small village of Foothill.

When
you're ready head in the main meeting area of foothill for an interesting
cut scene after all the villagers have left the meeting hill it's
time to leave foothill and head for fort Barrier. As Julian's team
arrives in the field outside the fort they find it full of Imperial
defending the fort, they also see a lionman called Leon, who is
also looking to escape the Empire.
The
only problem is that he has already started to attack the Imperial
forces and so Julian's team, begin their assault against the outer
defensives of the fort.

If
you manage to speak to Leon during the battle or kept him alive
during the course of the battle, he will join your team, else he
will be killed.
With the Black Knight dead the way is clear for you
to attack the fort itself, as you enter the fort you run in to Difenda
an Imperial general known for his excellent ability to defend building.
It
turns out that Difenda know a lot about the Bulzome sect, and is
indeed worried about it however Difenda is so scared of the Emperor.
That he would rather face Bulzome, than deal with the wrath of the
Emperor. Unwilling to allow Julian's team to pass through the fort,
Julian's team must fight their way to the Republic.

Battle Notes:
1. Your force will be split into two groups for this battle,
with Julian leading one side and Donhort the other
2. In the first half of the battle you will have to use the
cannons to destroy the main gate, nothing else can damage
it.
3. The two Metal Gunners and Difenda only appear after the
main gate has been destroyed.
4. Once Difenda has appeared the two doors to the side of
the main gate will produce infinite Sliver Knights and Destonia
Soldiers, ignore them and go for Difenda. |
As
Difenda lies dying on the floor he tell Julian to destroy Bulzome
and free the land of his terror, with Difenda dead they can now
pass through the fort. As they pass through the gates they arrive
in the Republic, but Julian knows he still has a great journey ahead
of him.
Resume of Chapter 2
Having been
turned away from the Empire by Mageron, Garcia turned to Scholar
for help. Scholar showed them a secret passage, which allowed Julian's
army to leave Destonia behind them. However after a cave in Julian
was forced to head through dragon valley where they met Jane once
again. Finally they arrive at fort barrier, only to run into an
Imperial army lead by General Difenda. After a long battle the general
was defeated and Julian's force could finally enter Republic territory
and continue their journey to Aspinia.
