JACKIE CHAN ACTION KUNG FU (TG16) Developed and Published Hudson Soft Jackie Chan Action Kung Fu was made for both the NES and the Turbo Grafx 16 by Hudson Soft. It is your basic 2D action sidescrolling platformer. Either version is very hard to find these days. There are sites that offer emulations of each for the PC. Being that legality of emulators are unclear at the time I do not offer them from this site. But, with a little searching they shouldn't be too hard to find. (intro) The basic plot is that you are on a walk one day with your girlfriend Priscilla when an evil magician comes along and kidnaps her. Your goal is to make it through the stages, fight the bosses, and get your girl back. Along the way you can access special bonus levels by finding the hidden bells located throughout the levels. Here you can rack up extra men, regain health and extra power. For only having 2 buttons, and one of them being Jump, there are quite a few moves in your arsenal. Without the special icons you can perform Flying Jump Kicks, Sweeps, Punches and a Fireball. Then by beating a Frog you can get special icons that give you even more moves by pressing UP+Attack. A complete list of these moves and their icons will be up eventually. Codes Level Select At the title screen press Up, Down, Left, Right, II (make sure the turbo for II is turned off). You should hear a chime. Now hold Select and press and hold Run. A stage-select menu will appear. Screenshots |
