5/31/04, 10:40AM; Memorial Day
Song: Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath

Tomorrow looks like it'll be the first "boring" day, which will be welcomed. Everyday since graduation has been busy. I haven't even had time to listen to my CDs. Today is going to be busy as well, oh wait, tomorrow I need to go to my dad's, so there is something going on. Several things need to get done today, including going to the bank. I've got a lot of change I need to get cashed; I'm guessing $45 worth, we'll see. I think I'll also go ahead and order my RAM today, the sooner I do that, the sooner I get it.

5/30/04, 1:00PM
Song: Porcupine Tree - Sever

It's been a while since I've been on my computer, let alone the internet, but I have been busy. Project Graduation was fun, but I didn't go see Shrek like I wanted to, I was doing stuff at the other end of the mall when it started and lost track of time. I would have gotten in the theater late and missed parts, so I guess I'll have to see it some other time. I didn't win anything either, but I did record a lot of people on my camera (which I still need to make a movie of) there and after graduation. Went to Mike's for breakfast, that was really good. Umm... came home around 7 and went to sleep.

Woke up that morning around 1 and went to parties throughout the day. Watched Scary Movie 3, I heard it was pretty bad, and indeed it was- but I still laughed.

I got my CDs the other day, I've been listening to them a lot. They aren't quite as good as I had hoped, but are still good. So umm... yeah.

5/28/04, 1:55PM; Graduation Day
Song: Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun

So the other day I forgot to put up the link to my game and no one even said anything...oh well I guess. Today, though, I will be making that link, and a better page for it go to. Yesterday was the last day of free school I'll be going to, and today is the graduation ceremony. Also yesterday was the physics party, it was a lot of fun. We played some outside games, ate burgers and chips, played a few inside games, and then watched to Fluffy video which I think was well done (for an ametuer (I cna't speel wel) video). That was folled by adventures at Payam's house, not much too exciting there. Island stuff, boxing, and some history on fencing.

Tonight will be fun though, Project Graduation: free food, free games, free money, free prizes (free is the best number).

NO MORE SCHOOL!

5/25/04, 10:35PM; 1
Song: The Flower Kings - Vox Humana

I'm sleepy. Physics final today wasn't too bad, and in other classes all we did was sit around. I turned in the "final" copy of my com-sci game, EXTREME PONG (which can be downloaded using the right column). Tomorrow is the LAST day of school and then I'll be a high school graduate. Seems sorta like a waste... 4 years... and I don't have much to show for it...

5/25/04, 11:15PM; 2
Song: Dream Theater - Endless Sacrifice

The english final was today, I think I did alright on it. Worked on EXTREME PONG some more of course, I think I'm done with it finally. Tomorrow is the physicas final, which I'm prepared enough for (I think). Yeah... that's it for today.

5/24/04, 11:00PM; 3
Song: Rush - Limelight

Spanish oral I thought I did pretty bad on, I sorta froze, oh well, I'm "doomed" to have a B in there, so whatever. That's it for school today. Afterward I went to the bank, and deposited graduation money (cash and checks). Then played a game of StarCraft with Mike, Brian, and Chris. Brian and I won, but if Mike had stayed we would have been owned. Then to the mall for DDR, but they had a lock-in thing going, so we all went to Jared's. Then back home for another game of SC.

The End.
I guess I'll add comments too, I better get some...

Song: The Flower Kings - Fast Lane

Activities of today: go to Travis' recital thing, play tennis, and of course work on Extreme Pong. Travis is such a great musician, everything he presented today sounded so good, and was really entertaining, I'm glad I went. Tennis was also fun, about an hour or so of it. My ankles feel really weird right now because of it. C++ is fun.

Today I also realized that (for me anyway) long blog/journal entries aren't too fun to read, and are a little intimidating to look at. So I don't think I'll be having quite as long entries as I sometimes do. Summer is about here, and I don't know how I'm going to handle things...

5/23/04, 1:20AM; 4
Song: Michael W. Smith - This is Your Time

Today was a great day. I got home hooked my new monitor and I love it. It's so nice, big, yet small, afterall it is an LCD. Helped little (make that tried to help) Rachel D.'s dad with some computer problems, I don't think I did much. After that headed out to eat. The food was great, dessert was at the edge of how much I could handle. Everything else at dinner was great. Sometimes people you don't even know can be some of the nicest. It sucks that such tragic things can happen to so great of people. Even though I know they probably don't read this, "Thank You so very much," not just for the gifts, but everything. Hmm... idea, give them the link to here.

5/22/04, 2:20AM; 4
Song: Chroma Key - Another Permanent Address

As I was driving out to my dad's earlier I smelled a good smell. One of the best ones I can think of, Honeysuckle. That stuff smells sooo good (and tastes good). We used to have a bush of it outside of my mom house, it might still be there too, but in the summer my sisters and I would go out there and eat it. Drving down Nowata towards Silverlake/Woodland I smelled some as well. Tomorrow I think I'll have to go out and find some Honeysuckle.

I got my LCD monitor, it's really cool. Though I haven't hooked it up yet I know it'll be nice. And from graduation money I think I'm going to buy 512MB more RAM, that'd be nice...

5/20/04, 10:30PM; 5
Song: OSI - The Thing That Never Was

Something needs to be said about people that can liven up a day no matter how bad it is, has been, or will possibly get. Anyway the awards assembly was rather boring, probably because I didn't get anything at all... I don't have much else to talk about, let's see... ... oh, if I find out a nice, convient way of doing, I might hook up my "spare" power supply to my computer. I don't really have a need to, and I'd just be hooking up my extra stuff to it like fans and front lights(for easier control). But only if it doesn't make it too crowded and noisy. I guess that's about it.

Little things do matter.

5/19/04, 10:00PM; 6
Song: Radiohead - Wolf at the Door

Not having to do anything first hour is nice, but going in early for orchestra isn't. In band today I got to hear some people's Music Theory compositions, most of them were really cool and neat sounding. I wish I could write stuff like that. I guess I'll stick to dreaming about writing well and playing well, I'm not very good at either... oh well.

Yesterday when I gave Jennifer K. a ride home she mentioned that the CD I was listening to (Neal Morse - Testimony) sounded like video game music. I was thinking about that some today on the way to and from school and she was right, it does. And that might be a subconsious reason as to why I like it (and prog in general) so much. First a little back ground: when I was younger I never had any tapes or CDs myself, I hated all the music on the radio I heard and that my sisters both liked; so I resorted to video game music for entertainment. The first CD I ever owned was the Final Fantasy 8 soundtrack, and I LOVED it (it's still good too). But now I've branched out into progressive rock as well as other genres, back the point, prog sorta reminds me of my musical beginings.

Tonight I went out and bought a guitar book for Radiohead's album Hail to the Thief, I've stumbled through a few of the riffs, it's hard to play.

5/18/04, 10:00PM; Final Band Concert
Song: The Beatles - A Taste of Honey

It's been a while since I've updated, and even longer since a "real" update. The last few days I've been pretty busy though, and have good, logical excuses, either way tonight I'm updating.

Ok, so in my last entry I was talking about my Com-Sci project that is coming along pretty well as of now, a few things still need to be worked, but those aren't a problem. The stuff I had made (added) at home needed a lot of working on but all the bugs have been worked out, and a few new ones created, oh well, just part of the process I guess.

After that night in the next morning we went to Kansas City for a band contest. The rides there and back weren't too bad, nor too great, just normal band trip "fun." We went to a "ranch," but I'd hardly call it that, it wasn't too great, talked to a few people, nothing too exciting for me. The next day we went to Worlds of Fun, it was hardly "worlds of fun" but it was pretty good for the first few hours. I rode one of the roller coasters 3 times, and had an awesome funnel cake. That was pretty much the excitement of the day. Pizza that night in a sports bar; good pizza, not so good environment. Got to the hotel late that night, and the next day started early. We headed back to WoF to play our music, we didn't do too well (by our normal standards) but the judges gave us straight 1's so what can you do?

After getting back from the trip I went and had dinner with Moser for his b-day, it was nice. That was followed by a quick visit at Hastings then to Mica's to work on our English presentation. While there we came up with some good sounding stuff, and the presentation the next day went pretty well, we weren't crucified in front of the class or anything. Getting ready for that is my excuse for now posting Sunday night.

My excues for not posting last night is I was working on my calculus essay and presentation. I finally got it done around 11:10, but it's now all over with.

Tonight was the last band concert I'll probably ever be in. And I can truthfully say I'm pretty happy it's over. I haven't been liking band very much these past few years though I did stick through it. Coming up Friday is an orchestra concert that I really don't want to play in, nor do I care about it. Either way, band is over.

Enough typing in here for tonight, tomorrow I might actually have some thoughts to put down.

5/13/04, 11:15PM; Jazz Concert
Song: Transatlantic - Suite Charolette Pike

I have to be one of the biggest nerds I know, but I really like it. This will be another short one, as you can tell my the time it's getting late. Anyway, I have been working on my semester project that I have in Com-Sci. I've been adding lots of new things to it, AT HOME! I'll you think about that, and I think I'll make comments for this too, so you all can make fun of me...

5/12/04, 10:25PM; 10 (for band people)
Song: Final Fantasy Megamix #1

Short entry today. Nostalgia is a great thing. More about this tomorrow (if I remember).

5/11/04, 10:20PM; 11 (for band people)
Song: Yes - Show Me

What would you do-ooo-oo for a Klondike Bar? I have NO idea why that came to mind, oh well. I don't think I'd do much for one, seeing as I've never had one. I acutally had homework tonight, but I failed to do it. It was spanish, I've lacked motivation in that class all year long. Oh well, I'm getting a decent grade in there, and I'm going to college no matter the grade I get.

Last night I couldn't get to sleep, I tried starting around 11, but I was up until 1. It sucked I've been tired all day, oh well. Last night I think my problem was I just started thinking too much, it didn't help at all-- if anything it hurt.

I'm too lazy to make a comments thing.

5/10/04, 10:20PM; Physics AP Test
Song: Pink Floyd - Wearing the Inside Out

They physics ap test wasn't too bad I suppose, better than the other two, the multi-choice was hard, but the free response was alright. That's that. Tomorrow starts the countdown.

5/9/04, 9:50PM
Song: A Perfect Circle - Judith

Today has been crappy. I woke up early sneezing and coughing, so I took some medicine and eventually went back to sleep. Then I woke up again sneezing and coughing. I'm still coughing now. My ears hurt when I yawn or open my mouth too much, I think it's just allergies though, I hope so. I just got done taking some more medicine hoping it'll kick in when I'm ready to go to sleep. The physics AP test is tomorrow, it's the one I'm most ready for so I hope I do well on it. For graduation I think I'm going to ask my dad for a flat screen computer monitor, which would be really nice for transportation (LAN parties) and space issues. Only 3 more weeks of school.

One down two to go.

5/9/04, 12:00AM
Song: Chroma Key - Get Back in the Car

I can't wait till I graduate. Today after seeing my older sister graduate, and seeing my step-brother after he graduated really made me realize it. That's where I was all today (yesterday). I'm really tired, so much travelling wears me out. This Thursday is the Jazz Band concert, come of you like, it'll last about an hour starting at 7:30 (I think). Be late if you like, the other jazz bands play before we do. If you don't come, that's fun, but I'm giving you plenty of heads-up on the concert. Sleepy time.

5/6/04, 10:20PM; English AP Test
Song: Yes - Owner of a Lonely Heart

I think I've found out why I like 'Yes' so much; vocal harmonies. Just about all of their songs have some sort of it happening, and other groups that do it, I seem to like too.

The english AP test wasn't good for me, I'd be surprised with a 2, I feel I actually did better on the calculus test than this one. Yeah, I don't have much to say tonight.

5/5/04, 10:00PM; Cinco de Mayo/Calc AP Test
Song: Liquid Tension Experiment - 914

The AP test was about as hard as I expected overall. The multiple choice seemed rather easy-- with and without calculator. The free response though, that is another story, and a short one at that, it was HARD. I had to guesse no how to even start half of them. I did not like that test, but at least I tried, what harm can it possibly do? I also got to miss band and english classes, yay.

After the AP test I had lunch and went to school. Spanish was a good class today; we had culture day to celebrete Cinco de Mayo. It was nice since it was the day of the calc AP test. After school I came home to find my IEEE 1394 PCI card had arrived (that's FireWire, and it's for my video cameral so now I can make movies on my computer). I got that setup and messed around for a few hours. I went got some dinner, messed with my camera some more, and even picked up my room a little.

Tomorrow is the english AP test, I want that to be over with too. I don't feel like I'll do very well on it, but it can only help. I should get to bed early tonight (like last night).

Song: Dream Theater - Pull Me Under

Just now walking to my front door from my car I was reminded of something from years ago, a good memory too. First off what reminded me was this really view I saw of the moon, if I had a good digital camera, not just a video camera I would have taken a picture of it, it was that cool looking. The moon was behind a tree with its light shining around the top bushel thing, it was beautiful. Anyway I was reminded of being at Garett's one night (many of you don't know him) and around the moon was this bright aura type thing that was brighter than everything else around it. At the time we (my group friends and myself) were big on the game StarCraft, and it looked just like a Protoss Pylon, it was really cool. Come to find out it was a sorta common phenomenon called a Halo (I believe). I think that was also the night Chris went home early (well late, but earlier than was planned, called his dad and everything). Those were the days... nostalgia is setting in right now, I like it, back before the time of calculus, AP tests, (this amount of) stress, and when Garett and I had stuff to talk about we've parted our separate ways and hardly talk anymore... just part of life I suppose.

Tomorrow is the calc AP test which I will probably make a 2 on, but a 3 would be VERY nice, I just hope I can still think afterward, my brain is going to be so fried.

And this might be a one-time thing, I'm not sure, but I'm going to give comments a second chance. Someone told me they were going to post one, but I took them away before they could. This will allow them to post something, and if more than just that one person responds, I might keep them going. They open in new windows for easy navigation.

Song: Neal Morse - Transformation

Today was at times good, at others bad. I studied for calculus a while, then Shari called and convinced me to go to the mall for DDR. It's not very often you get to see someone that has moved and went to college, so the visit was welcomed. It was fun. When Shari did live here we hardly ever hung out, and this was a good experience. Because of her (and several other people) I have changed since last year- definately for the better. Now just for a little more changing to be done. I think I'll go to bed a little early today, I'm really tired.

Sidenote: why is it that if someperson does something to you (maybe even several times) and then you do something similar back once, they take it so seriously? Treat others as you would like to be treated. (Just know what you are getting to.)

5/2/04, 10:40PM
Song: Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place

I spent most of the day today at my dad's house. When I'm there I usually sit around and watch a lot of TV. We watched 2 movies, and a few TV shows. The movie She-Devil is really really odd, I wouldn't recommend it. But I did finally see School of Rock. It was good, too bad I didn't see it in theaters back in Novemeber. I picked up an application today, it just needs to be filled out.

5/2/04, 12:10PM
Song: Black Sabbath - Sabbra Cadabra

I haven't been wanting to update recently, nothing exciting has happened, just more of the norm. Last night I went to see Annie Get Your Gun, it was good. The day, overall, didn't happen like I had thought and hoped it would have; they never do anymore. My days are so boring, I need to go out and do something, anything, enough complaining though. I think I'm going to go pick up a job application and head out to my dad's in a while.
