Song: The Tangent - Skipping the Distance
No reason to post tonight. Oops.

Song: Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Fairly uneventful day; got woken up at 3:30, got out of bed at 10, Wal-Mart, McDonalds, talk with Jennifer, South Park, MGS3, videos.
When people get on my computer I secretly (not so secret anymore) want people to IM others on my list sometimes. There isn't anyone on there I wouldn't talk to, just people I don't talk to. Them IMing them randomly may rekindle a lost/forgoteen friendship, know what I mean? But why have someone else do it when I could just as easily? Personally I know I like to get messages from people I don't talk to often. Last semester I was IMed and had fun with the conversation that ensued, but didn't ever start another. I guess in life we just move on, leaving others behind. I know I've started to do that. I even have some buddies in my "Never" group (if you don't know I have my list organized by how often I talk to people), and I used to talk with her ALL the time online, but we just parted our ways. Many other people have dropped down on my list as well, with very few promotions. Right now the counts are Often: 3, Occasionally: 11, Rarely (including people with multiple names): 31, and Never: 34. So I pretty much talk to 1 out of 5 people on my list. It's about time to rearrange the list too, mostly with demotions too :-(.

Song: Fates Warning - We Only Say Goodbye
The snow is already starting to melt away from the ground, it's rather short lived. I played MGS3 a lot today, I just beat The Fury and am headed to the weapons building.
It's time to start looking around again. Something always happens, good or bad, that prevents business. I'm getting really thirsty now, but there aren't any cold drink available, wonder why that is...
Have you ever wondered if anything really can make you happy?

Song: Dream Theater - Metropolis Pt. 1
Yesterday "working" at the radio station was kinda fun, kinda boreing. We decided to make it prog night. We played Yes, Rush, Fates Warning, Galactic Cowboys, and even Behold the Arctopus, now that's some weird stuff. We mostly sat around chit chatting till we had to read some announcments. I also was up past 2 last night with homework and calling a truce with Chris.
Today: it's snowing. I'd say 1-2 inches, but I haven't been out to measure it. I was thinking about going home today, but not anymore so I've got to mail in my insurance check :-(.
The snow has got me thinking (<- just an excuse) about how everything has two sides, depending on how you look at it. When I see snow I think of what it will lead to: slush, ice, slipping while driving, crashes, big piles of black snow in parking lots, and even the annoying sand then put down that litters the streets for months to come. Others see it as something totally different. They see it as something beautiful and magnificent. I just don't get it...
Have you ever wondered why you wonder?

Song: Porcupine Tree - Four Chords That Made a Million
Classes today went by quite fast and without event. Statics is starting to make more sense, Calc is still annoying but not too hard, and Java is just easy so far. After classes has been fun too. Played more MGS3 and just finished off The Fear, up next is The End, I can't wait. Also I got LOTS of new Porcupine Tree music. Nearly everything they've ever released on CD. So far I really like what I hear, starting the second album I obtained. In exchange for the CDs I burned several copies from my collection and I hope he's as pleased as I am. I also get the chance to work at a "radio" station tomorrow, I'm pretty excited. The guy I traded music with works at the campus radio station and said I could join in tomorrow and throw in a few songs that I've got. And if I like it he said they've got a few open spots in the week that I could take over, that could be fun. Other than that not much been going in my life, what's new? I also added Cyle to my blog/xanga listing.
Have you ever wondered if this is where you belong?

Song: Gentle Giant - Schooldays
Today was a pretty good, and in keeping with the last few days:
Have you ever wondered "what's next?"

Song: Ayreon - Day 11: Love
I'm going to be cool and post song lyrics!
Ayreon - The Human Equation - 1 - 11 - Day 11: Love
Me:
Friday night, I had a few
There she was, out of the blue
Thunderstruck, nailed to the floor
I couldn’t move, couldn’t talk anymore
Love:
Of all these guys it’s you she desires
Secretly her heart is on fire
Waiting for you to ask her to dance
Go ahead, make your move now’s your chance
[CHORUS] Passion:
Do it right, do it right, we ain’t got all night
Do it now, do it now, I think you know how
Pride:
Let it out, let it out, now don’t mess about
Let her in, let her in, let the party begin!
Me:
There I was, nervous and shy
Struck with awe as I caught her eye
I mustered up courage and walked her way
Figuring out what to do what to say
Love:
Her heart sings as she sees you come near
The music fades, the crowd disappears
She weeps in silence as you pass her by
And she’s wondering why... oh why
CHORUS: Passion and Pride
Agony:
Remember your father, well you’re just like him
Nothing but violence and fury within
Remember your mother, so lonely and sad
This will be her fate if you treat her as bad
Fear:
You’re afraid she might turn you down
All your hopes, dashed to the ground
Nobody loved you, nobody will
Why should you even try... but still...
Me: Friday night, I had a few
Wife: There was no need to talk
There she was, out of the blue
Wife: We just started to walk
Hand in hand, we took the floor
Wife: And we danced, and we danced, and we danced
I could move, I could talkeven more
CHORUS: Passion and Pride
[Agony]
This song is just awesome. It, among many other Ayreon songs, gets to me everytime; it begs to be listened to. I think it's because it connects with me so well on some parts.
Have you ever wondered what people say behind your back?

Song: Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Sleep
Music of the day included:- Blackfield - Cloudy Now
- The Strawbs - Autumn
- Transatlantic - We All Need Some Light
- Rush - Tears
- Chroma Key - Graveyard Mountain Home
- Dream Theater - Solitary Shell
- Ayreon - Day 7: Hope
That was the list I chose this morning after having a rough night. I couldn't get to sleep, and nothing helped. All my old tricks did nothing, I just ended up staying awake until about 3 before finally getting to sleep. My emotions just hit me last night, today has been better, we'll see about the night though.
Have you ever wondered what people really think about you?

Song: Yes - Ritual-Nous Sommes Du Soleil
Hanging out with people you don't see very often is fun. Today was fun because of that. Playing Metal Gear Solid 3 is fun as well. For those that have played it, I just beat The Pain (the hornet guy). And now I'm sitting here in my room, trying to decide what to do; start watching a movie, play Metal Gear, play Ricochet, or just go to sleep-- that is, after finishing this entry. Which may take a while.
For some reason a line from Donnie Darko popped into my head about 10 minutes ago. The line was "We all die alone." I think this came to mind as I was thinking on how everyone needs someone they can talk to, about everything, and not have any worries. I don't have anyone like this. I always seem to hide something from everyone, not so much because of how the other person might react, but because I'm not sure of myself and me wanting to not be affected by others. If I were to stop here in this I'd probably get a few IM's from people saying "you can talk to me" but that's not what I need. I need for myself to open up to other people and become less of an introvert. Well, back to Donnie Darko, I looked online for a script to see when that was said, and it was how I remembered. It came across to me as something like; if we die alone, what's the point of living. That's for the most part true, everyone needs to feel accepted and appreciated, somehow.
Well that was a rather depressing entry for the end of such a fun day. I guess that's what happens when you sit in a dark room for a few hours listening to music and letting your thoughts go.
Have you ever wondered what people's first impressions of you were?

Song: R.E.M. - Losing My Religion
Update on the Sea-Monkeys: they are getting pretty good, I may post a few pics this weekend, then again I may not go through the little hassle of getting them off the video camera. They are easy to see now, and there are a lot of them, probably around 15. And just because a few of them are named, but not really. They just have names for just because, I don't call them by them, nor is it possible to distinguish them from each other. The names are Humda, Banjo, and Thor; if you want one named for/by you, let me know and it won't be a problem I'll just add the name to the list.
Physics was violating Moser and I earlier tonight. We worked on it for about an hour (more on the hour+ side) and got nowhere. We looked over the problems and we decided to pretty much just quit for a few hours. He went back to his place while I did my Calc and Statics assignments.
I'm glad it's just about the weekend, no worries about getting class, but I will have homework, and reading chapters (if I decide I'm that bored). I also have yet to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater since arriving back at OSU. I better get some sleep now, class at 8:30.
1/19/05, 11:30PM
Song: Sty - Lorelei
Pretty easy going day today. Classes were alright. Had dinner with Jayme, then watched some Mario parodies that Cyle was showing Chris.
I also played some more Anarchy-Online with Karl. He got me through a few quests and helped me get a feel for the game. Sleep in day is tomorrow!

Song: Porcupine Tree - Collapse of Light Into Earth (Extended)
Today I didn't do a whole lot. Went jogging a little around the track (2 times), I'm way out of shape, but I've never really been that in-shape to begin with. Right now my ankles are hurting a little bit. I also went over to Patchin to hang out with and get some music from someone I met through facebook. He has tons of goooood stuff. We are going to get a little trade thing going on, I think I'm getting a little bit better deal. Oh well.
1/16/05, 11:40PM
Song: Yes - Song No. 4 (Satellite)
Got some new CDs today, Yes - Drama, Tales From Topographic Ocean, Gentle Giant - Three Friends, The Flower Kings - The Rainmaker. So far they are pretty good and I have already started making another list of things to buy from CDUniverse. Haven't been doing much today.
1/13/05, 10:15PM
Song: Neal Morse - Author of Confusion
New layout as you can see. Physics annoys me. I don't want to go home, but I do want to go back to Bville to hang out with friends and also be able to watch Budokan not by myself. As of now I'm thinking Sunday afternoon sometime to watch.
1/12/05, 9:20PM; The Day of the 100th
Song: Elvis Costello - (I Don't Want To Go To) Chelsea
A few things to say tonight.
The Wedding Singer is a great movie. I was watching it tonight and couldn't believe I hadn't seen it in soooo long. I still remembered most of the song he wrote from a long time ago. And the when the granny sings for her 50th anniversary, and the rap (-ish) part after that. I might even like it better than The Waterboy.
This Elvis Costello song (^^) has been stuck in my head for the past day or two. It's really neat sounding. The flow of the lyrics, the guitar riffs, and the bass; the sound of it all. As I said many moons ago fun songs are great, this is one of those that sounds to be playing. I need to find some other Costello songs I like on his greatest hits disc I recieved.
A Perfect Circle has started to grow on me a little. A while back I made an entry about how I didn't like the singer's voice, I think I've learned to like it through not liking it. I gave several chances to grow on me, and it finally has, though some of Tool I still can't stand.
Classes this semester are going to be both easy and hard. Physics 2, Calc 3, and Statics are probably going to be pretty difficult whereas Intro to Psych and Java Programming will be quite a bit easier, and also more enjoyable.
I hate the rain and snow is only good when it's falling. Both leave the ground wet and nasty, and with snow they put the sand down and you have deal with it for several months to come. It needs to start being a little more nice out, even if it is freezing cold have the sun out makes the day not so depressing. Today I felt like going out for a walk and wandering the campus, but the wettness made me not want to.
Tomorrow I get to sleep in for 2 extra hours!

Song: Dream Theater - As I Am (Live)
I just got done watching a few tracks off the Live at Budokan DVD I got from Sean. The quality is amazing, better than the Rush in Rio DVD I've got. This coming weekend we have to watch it, I want to see the other songs I didn't listen to, and I know if I were to watch them now I may not be able to sit through them again so soon. So this weekend if we can find a place and get some people together to watch the Dream Theater DVD it'd be great.
Tuesdays and Thrusdays suck class wise. I'm out most of the day between the classes since there is only about 40 mins downtime and I don't see a point in coming back to the dorms for 5-10 mins. I'm getting excited about Budokan can't stop thinking about watching it, this post will be even more pointless if I keep going on, goodnight.

Song: Porcupine Tree - The Creator Has a Master Tape
Well today was my birthday, nothing too exciting but I got a lot of "Happy Birthday" IMs and calls. Also put the Sea-Monkey eggs into the water, still have yet to be able to see them (I recorded it and will document their lives). I also started talking to some people through The Face Book about music and found someone on campus that like "happy" prog, even stuff like Gentle Giant and Transatlantic as much as I do. I also found a video to Porcupine Tree's soon to be released album Deadwing, the video can be found here. Karl is also bringing back his forums, so if you'd like sign up and start chatting it up! I'm 19 now.

Song: Jethro Tull - One Brown Mouse
Today was a decent day. Had lunch with Jayme and gave her a quick tour of the campus. After that I was setting up the Sea-Monkeys but the water purifing stuff needs to set in there for 24 hours, so tomorrow I'll put the eggs in the water. The instructions say it won't take long for them the hatch, should be fun to watch (and record). Today I also ordered some more CDs from CDUniverse, still an addict. I should also start going to Colvin tomorrow, as to start the habit early. Oh yeah, today also went to visit Beka in her new apartment. We played Skip-Bo with 5 people, till Moser decided to quit then we just had 4. Either way it was fun.

Song: Ayreon - Dragon On The Sea
Back in OSU now, glad to be back "home". Nice to see college friends again. Watched Rounder (a movie about Texas Hold 'em) it was alright, but I'm not much of a movie critic. I also had another birthday and a half, got money and cookies. Tomorrow I'll be setting up my Sea-Monkeys and I'll keep you all informed in their ever exciting lives, you know it'll be interesting for a while. I'm sad that classes start after just one more day :-(.

Song: Transatlantic - We All Need Some Light (Live)
It's about time I update again. Not much has been going on till tonight. I had some people over to celebrate my b-day which is 2 days away as of now. I didn't expect presents, but those that I did get I truely do like and can't wait to take full advantage of them. Then I got some mp3s from Mike's hard drive (like ^this^ song). We also watched Napoleon Dynamite which I enjoyed for the most part, had a few dull parts, but laughs throughout *gosh*. Leaving for OSU tomorrow in the evening, should be a nice drive back. Time to get to bed and put Smokey out.
1/2/05, 6:30PM
Song: Steve Miller Band - Dance, Dance, Dance
Not much has been going these past few days. I formatted by dad's computer in preparation for getting DSL. Went to see Ocean's Twelve which I liked, I cheated the system to see it. I used a super saver pass that had expired by one day (they noticed but accepted it anyway). New Year's was nothing spectacular, but it's better then the YMCA lock-in. One more week of break before the spring semester at OSU starts. There are a few things I want to start doing at OSU but I don't think I will due to my lack of following through. Things such as pracitce my guitar more, study in a place other than my bed, work out (or just run) at Colvin daily, listen to music daily, and umm, I guess that's about it. We'll see how all that goes.
