Song: Spock's Beard - The Healing Colors Of Sound Part 2

It's been a few days. Not much has been going on except work. These past few days I've worked overtime, which is good and sucks because I'm staying since there is a lot of work to be done. So far I'm 2 hours over. Now on to a few things I've got to mention. I got my scholarship back from OSU. The appeal worked, my mom was right, and I was wrong, sadly. And the other day when we went to play tennis I stopped over to say hey to Moser and scared the crap out of him. He was sitting there reading a book, I walk up to the desk and stand there for a good 30 seconds thinking of how to get his attention. I finally just knock on the wood and he jumps, it was funny. I've also got a pretty cool link for you all to look at; info about expiration dates of random foods. You'll be suprised at some of these.

Song: Yes - Yours Is No Disgrace

Copan was great except for the stupid douche-bag park ranger. There are no nice ones, not even the least bit considerate. I'd call it a success. Anyway, my Symphony X dvd finally finished downloading after 23 days and I need to get a few people together to watch it. I also got this pretty weird/cool link for an alarm clock that cooks bacon, well I think it's pretty cool. There was something else I was going to put in there from yesterday, but it has slipped my mind. I like drinking water.

Song: Dream Theater - Hollow Years

How fast could you find?Because that is what 6 people are doing right now.

Song: Eric Clapton - Layla (Acoustic)

The other day I helped my step-sister put together her computer. AMD heatsinks are a lot easier to put on since I've done it a few times now. Tomorrow I have a dentist appointment which I really don't want to go to, but it will get me out of work. Divorces are no fun to be a part of.

Song: Gentle Giant - Knots

Tickets are going to be ordered tonight. So far 5 people are going; one more to decide. Seats aren't looking too bad either.

On another note; Copan this Saturday. The weather forecast looks clear (and all the days around it) so that shouldn't be a big problem. I'm thinking we start around 3 or 4 and swim for a while (Brian may have the jet-ski, I don't know nor have I asked) and after that eat hotdogs, burgers, something and just chill afterward. Maybe someone has a dutch oven for dessert? Personally, I don't think all night is a good idea. It would also be nice to have everyone chip in like $3 for food and beverages. Everyone can join anytime for as long as you can. I may even type up some instructions on how to get there if someone needs them.

UPDATE: The tickets have been bought. Row Q Section 101. Go here for more info if you are going.

Song: Genesis - The Musical Box

Gigantour tickets have been on sale for almost a day now, tickets are going pretty fast, especially good ones. I have known about this concert for more than a month. I knew the theater it would be in, which city, several of the bands performing, and an approxomate price. And since then I knew I wanted to go, so I cleared it with my parents. At that time many people were interested in going. Now that tickets are on sale only 2 other people have confirmed if they can or can't go for sure. Brian can, and he mentioned this to me about a week ago when I learned tickets went on sale Friday. No one else said anything about it until today when I asked Sean. He can't, but he probably should have asked a few days ago so that would have been one less person to worry about. So far today I have called 5 people's cell phones trying to get a hold of them so Brian and I can get tickets. We could have ordered 2 seats side by side yesterday at 5 or so and gotten in the frontish row, but noooo. As of now 2 seats closest to the stage are in row NN (of AA to QQ) in section 203. This is really starting to make me mad.

Song: Ozric Tentacles - Bolshem

Ok, so I tried out the Rush/Willy Wonka sync and it sucked. There were a few minor things that mostly only worked because you have to wait for a certain time to start it, for all I know that could have been why that starting place was chosen. I think Pink Floyd/Wizard of Oz is the only good one (keep in mind I've only tried one other). That's all I for you tonight.

Song: 311 - Champagne

Tonight was fun. Too bad we didn't get to play one last game, I thought of a good place. Oh well, it was nice to get back earlier than I usually do, but I doubt I will get anymore sleep than normal. Anyway, Gigantour tickets go on sale Friday. Must go. I added a few new blogs (Xangas) to my list on the right, if you are interested. Umm, what else... work wasn't as bad as I thought it would be today; I kinda liked the filing we had to do. I've started to organize my computer/game CDs a little today mostly by getting rid of stuff I don't need anymore and putting it somewhere else.

You know what's annoying? People who laugh in their own blogs. There aren't very many more annoyances than reading along and having people "LOL" and "hahahahaha" in their posts. In my mind it also degrades the writer a little bit. I don't think I'm the only one that feels this way. But keep doing it if you like, just because I don't like it doesn't mean you should change yourself.

Song: Porcupine Tree - Blackest Eyes (Live At Xm Radio)

Quick little update here. 2 days after it was released Dream Theater - Octavarium was ranked #9 in CDUniverse's all-time best sellers. Now a week after it has gained a few more places, it's at #7 after beating out the Backstreet Boys and Celine Dion, next up is Shania Twain and N'sync. I just wanted to mention that so others would know about it. Tomorrow work gets worse.

Song: Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction

So I went to Grove yesterday for my grandma's birthday. While there we went through a lot of pictures. Saw some of my grandpa and the memories came flooding back. When he died I was too young to realize the magnitude of what had happened, but now I do :-(.

On a lighter note, this week I'm not going to eat anywhere out that I have to pay for. So if you read this, you don't even have to ask me if you plan on going somewhere to eat. I spent too much last week eating out when I could have had food made or bought for me. Anyone need a CD-RW drive?

6/12/05, 12:40AM
Song: Genesis - Supper's Ready

Octavarium keeps getting better with each listen. I have lost count, but I'm in about my 6th time through it now. The title track is really cool. Panic Attack reminds me of Megadeth and Muse, in a good way. I burned a lot of DVDs today, my hard drive is now out of the red but will be replaced soon by new things. I want a room I can go into, sit without distraction of any kind, and just listen to CDs.

Song: Black Sabbath - Electric Funeral

You learn new things about daily life all the time. Things taken for granted and didn't even know had effect now are brought to the foreground. Anyway, today I got my DVD-burner in the mail, I'll install that tomorrow. I hope it all goes smoothly.

I prefer to listen to people. I find that uncommon. It seems most people would rather be the center of attention, get their opinion out there and make/convince others to see things as they do. I like to just chill, take it in, and decide for myself (mostly). I often find I don't have anything to say and when I ever do it is overpowered by others who speak out more often. I hardly have any stories worth telling and the ones I do seem to drag on. So if you ever want someone to just vent to or get something off you chest, I'm here. I like to think I'm pretty good at keeping secrets secret and not being overbearing.

Song: The Flower Kings - Road To Sanctuary

Is anyone interested in cliff jumping or going to Copan this weekend? I have no idea what the temperature of lake water is, which could be a factor. Both would be really fun, it's also been a while since either one. I want to do something this weekend though. If I decide I'll post it here and try to call around.

Last night the storm woke me up, stupid storms, I hate them. I'm convinced, no matter what, that if I have my windows of my car cracked it will rain. Everytime this summer thus far it has happened. Last night was no different, but I didn't even care. Windows were cracked for the whole storm; luckily my seats were just slightly damp this morning when I went in for work. Poison ivy is also nearly completely healed, yay.

Song: Dream Theater - Octavarium

Just to note a few things. Staying up late and waking up early do not go well together; nor does being sleepy for a job that requires some coherent thought. Tonight I'm going to try to go to sleep at a decent time. I got the new Dream Theater ablum, Octavarium, I like it a lot. Moreso than Train of Thought, but I haven't ranked it against the others yet. While I'm thinking about it there is another movie/album sync I want to try and I believe I have the video for it, I definately have the album. Rush's 2112 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After reading 2 of the moments I wanted to check it out. Ok, onto the "meaningful" post.

Is it just me, or does doing anything one-on-one with someone of the opposite sex seem like a date? I wish it didn't seem like that. There are several times I want to call up (or IM) friends that I haven't talked to in a while, go out and just catch up a little. Think about it, if you saw a guy and girl alone you'd think they were on a date, right? When people you know see that they start to talk, rumors spread, and it's not fun for anyone. This thought didn't come out as easily as I had hoped. Oh well. In short, society has make individual life taboo.

By the way, girls are hot.

6/7/05, 12:55AM
Song: Mr. Bungle

You'll have to wait another day.

6/5/05, 11:30PM
Song: Simon and Garfunkel - The Boxer

There is just something about vocal harmonies that is so awesome. Tomorrow you should expect a good entry, with some sort of an opinion. It's been running through my head that past day or two. But before that I have to work and such. I'm also getting better at mini-golf. I shot 5 over par and didn't get frustrated. Let's see... no matter what people say, band kids are pretty cool-- the ones I hang/hung out with anyway. Cool, a Yes DVD is coming out soon. Does anybody have a copy of Nightmare before Christmas?

6/1/05, 7:10PM
Song: Pink Floyd - Dogs

A new month, a new layout, which also happens to be my new desktop wallpaper.
