Raisin Cane & Durt the Worm

Raisin was introduced in the #1 Strawberry Shortcake comic book, where she was the niece of Sour Grapes. Her job was to spy on the Strawberry Shortcake gang, to insure they wouldn't bake something so good to win the Pie Baking Contest. Of course there are many other facets to this evil plan hatched by the Purple Pieman and Sour Grapes.

Here is my version of the rotten little Raisin Cane herself. *I have rerooted a Lemon Merangue doll with purple hair, which I boil permed, and pulled up into a ponytail, around which is a handmade bow. *Her face has been repainted to have violet eyes, NO freckles, and a devilish twist of her eyebrows. *Her dress was handmade and little grapes of a darker purple were individually sewn on. *Her shoes were made of the darker purple fabric, and little 'beads', made from Sculpey, were sewn on. *Her worm, Durt, was made from Sculpey clay, and made to either sit on his own, or around her wrist. *Her earrings are also made from Sculpey clay *Tights are regular SSC tights.
