There are many legends around their creation, for the more they come from nuclear reactor's scoriae or can be found on meteors or satellites. Other people say they surely come out from planet's interior energy, something spiritual that can't be seen by mortals, something dealing with the world creation. However they are a reality and we can use them if found somewhere, simply connecting a sphere into its slot on a weapon, armour or something useful as your car's engine!
Do not think they are only jewels or toys, they work ! Really ! they are an alternative to normal propellers for engines and similar, a new clean energy. Many are the Corps working everyday on projects for the use of this new material, trying to generate electricity, or something like nuclear power, and more are the progresses.
Obviously Corps do only what they want so they wont tell us they have find a solution because they consequently need to change their reactors and machines , so they prefer to monopolise all the useful energy for take a lot of money. The concept of public or free energy can't be understand by Corps preferring to kill any opponents on their way, and we tell you: they can do this !
So the struggle between Corps and naturalists will be effectively eternal, destined to have no end…
Ok, ok this is the situation, but to use them if you find one in a Combat Area ?
Simply, look at its colour and you will be able to tell at what class it belongs to, then carry it to a Mecha-shop and they will tell you where to put it and all its purposes.
However P-Gems generally work as below:
Green P-G:
they usually deal with what we can call magical ability or Psychic powers. The confer the proficiencies to use a "spell". Generally they are a rare thing to find.Yallow P-G:
they power up your weapons and combat tactics, they are perfect for solos everyday in the Combat area. If you find one of them, be fast and connect it to one of your weapons or armour and you'll gain an advantage.Red P-G:
red P-G are a legend. No-one of us have ever seen one, all that we know on them is that they contain something powerful, so powerful to open a Mecha with one hit (according to the testimony of Karlyle from N.Y. City Police Dep.)! If you find a Red P-G consider you a lucky man/girl.Blue P-G:
a blue P-G is useless if taken singularly. They work only if linked to other P-G in which case you obtain a powerful combination of chain effects. To connect two P-G you need a double linked slot on your equipment.Violet P-G:
they have various roles and only a PSI-User can tell you something useful about how to use yours. Contact a PSIKER and let him examine your P-G, you will know what does it do if linked to something.
