On this page I will describe my experience playing Sega Rally 2, but also a few other games. I describe the most important things that happened for the weeks. Note: it's not about games only...
WEEK 35, (2001) UPDATE
Hi Sega Rally and PSO fans,
Just a short update. This because a few links on my site were not working. I'm not in a good mood, this because Holland miss the World Championship Soccer in Japan next year. I think they have a really good team, but they needed just a bit more, to make it... Good luck to Japan, I'll support them at the WC Soccer :-)
I'm waiting for Shenmue 2 (Japanese) to come out. It's told that this game will come out at September 6th. I cant wait to play it! In the mean time I'm back at school and still playing Gran Turismo 3. I'm still working to get as many cars as possible. I'm sorry for the Phantasy Star Online gamers, I don't have much time to play online, when I want to play online, it has to be in the weekend!
Hello Sega Rally 2 people,
At my experience, I will tell what I have learned, and how I have played Sega Rally 2 last week.
As you all know by now my local arcade is rebuilding. All playing-cabinets are gone except for Daytona USA 2, Virtua Striker 2 and Virtua Fighter 3. This rebuilding is taking too long. Until the end of december! So now "my" Sega Rally 2 cabinet is gone. But I still can play in Arnhem, at Yang Man's (YHM) arcade. Now I also can easily learn new techniques from him. I'm sorry that I don't drive Peugeot, I hate that car a little bit, this because in real time the Peugeot is NOT the fastest car! The Toyota Corolla, Subaru Impreza and the Mitsubishi Lancer are!
Last week I played about 8 times. I think that's not much. I played the Subaru Impreza 4 times (fastest this week 4:04:81), the Toyota Celica 3 times (fastest this week 4:05:83) and the Corolla once (this week 4:08:xx).I think the Corolla plays very different from the Impreza and the Lancer. My own fastest time I raced about 4 weeks ago. So I can't drive so well anymore. My fastest time last week was 4:04:81 and most of the time 4:05:xx. With Impreza I can drive Desert course pretty good: 57:18. I know I can go faster on Desert, about 57:00 Max. But I don't have any complains on this course. My average times are about 57:2x.
Mountain is still my less favorite course, I hate the hairpins and Medium Left-Medium Right. I lack in speed in the Hairpin Right (average 165 kmh) and in the Open Hairpin Left (average 170 kmh). These bends can be taken much faster. (about 175 kmh and over 185 kmh.) Yang Man can do this, but I still can't do it very well. In the Open Hairpin Right I often turn Left too early and hit the wall on the left side. Wallturn style, but this is wrong! Sometimes I can do it very well, but then I blew it at the Medium Left-Medium Right. My fastest Mountain time is 1:02:34, but I want to drive between 1:02:00 and 1:01:80.
The Snowy course is my favorite: 57:83, not very fast though, but I think I can go about 57:50. Tony (KKT) had the course record in Nijmegen: 57:76. Last week in Arnhem, the Snowy course wasn't my favorite! At the long Medium Left, (the turn before the Medium Right, Medium Right, Checkpoint) I crashed into the wall 3 or 4 times. Men, I hate that turn! And the K-Left also. I often go too wide, because I don't steer left on time. The rest of the course is OK, even the hairpin, which I can take faster sometimes.
And finally Riviera: I don't like this course very much! My fastest time is 1:06:68, but all Japanese players go 1:05 second half. I like to go 1:06:00. Yang explained how to take the hairpins, but doing it yourself is slight different, than seeing someone else do it. It's hard to take the Hairpins Right fast, and especially the second one. My first lap record is about 34:65 and the second lap 31:95. I often press the brakes too hard in the hairpins, or too little, which results in crashing into the wall.
Well people who read this I still practice, but not very often! When Rally 2 is back in Nijmegen, I will break my record! I think 4:02: first half is very good. Well Yang's fastest time is 4:02:19 and he still thinks it sucks! Yes I can imagine, by seeing all the Japanese top times (see the link on my index page). I think KKG is the best player. 3:59:52 is FAST and with all cars 4:00:xx, how does he do that?
Hello again,
I have some good news. I broke my record! Yiehaa. My fastest time was 4:04:51, and now is 4:04:31. So I gained 0,20 secs. I broke three of my course records: Mountain, Snowy and Riviera. Especially on mountain I was playing pretty good. (1:02:29.) In the second K-Right my speed was 215 kmh. That was pretty fast. But still the Open Hairpin Left was terrible. I always put the stick to 3rd gear too fast. Yang was holding my arm, for not taking the Open Hairpin Left in third gear. He said: "try to stay in fourth gear." Well I think I'm too slow to take this bend in fourth.
The Snowy course went pretty well also (57:74.) My fastest time was 57:83! A new course record here for me also! The Hairpin Right was going pretty fast. But the last Medium Right Medium Left weren't that good. So I know I can go faster. I hope for a 57:5x time.
Finally the Riviera course. Well I raced it very good. My times were at my record time, whole time. And finally I broke it also. My record was 1:06:68 and now is: 1:06:58. I gained (0,10). Well folks, I'm starting to like the game again. My love for the game was decreasing. Only the Desert course was very bad, while driving my fastest time, I played Desert (57:41) very bad!
Now my potential time is: 4:03:79. I will keep trying, so that I can race about 4:03:xx.
I didn't play Rally 2 this week. I played Daytona USA 2. I was trying to get first place on the first course. After about 8 times I got the first place and a lap time of 16:73. The lap record in our Arcade was 16:60. So I think I didn't bad. But I don't like Daytona USA 2 as much as Sega Rally 2.
I didn't play Rally 2 again this week. In fact I didn't even went to the Arcade this week!
Well, I played Rally 2 this week. I even broke a few of my own records. The Desert course went very well: every time I got about 57:20 or 57:18. Not bad, but what I want is to go as fast as 57:00.
Mountain: my average time was about 1:02:3x. That is not bad for me also. The two K-Rights didn't go very well, but the first Hairpin went well! And about the Open Hairpin Left, I'm still practicing. I still hate that bend.
Snowy: I broke my record here: 57:68, my old record was 57:74 so I won 0:06. But I know that I can go faster. 57:20 ~ 57:40. I have heard that no one has ever raced under 57 sec at the snowy course. Even Japanese player TAT who has a potential time of 3:59:7x !!!
And finally Riviera: The hairpins didn't go according to my whishes. How do all those players get 1:05 times. I don't know. But I broke my record with 0:08 and my fastest time there is now 1:06:51.
Overall I played 4:04 the whole time. That is not bad for me, but I got two big chances to break my own record. I got 2:57:50 two times before the Riviera circuit. But the two times I blew it: 1:07xx on Riviera!!! Shit!!! I got close to my own record though: 4:04:39. I will break it soon.
Note: Yang and I played SpikeOut this week, cool game! It's like Streets of Rage meets Virtua Fighter 3. I hope we get this game at our new Arcade.
Yes! This week I broke my record. First I went to the arcade with Anecdote, and I played Subaru Impreza. I went faster on three courses: Desert, Mountain and Riviera.
On desert Yang was still playing 57:0x. He couldn't get a 56:9x time. I increased my time from 57:15 to 57:11. This is not much, but it's still something.
Now Mountain, I finally got under the 1:02 time!!! Phew, I thought I never made it. I went from 1:02:21 to 1:01:98. To play under a 1:02 time You certainly have to take the two hairpins Super fast. In the first hairpin speed must be about 168 kmh. And in the second hairpin speed must be over 180 kmh and you have to make grass turn!!! But that last thing is difficult to explain and even more difficult to do.
On snowy I didn't go faster, but now Riviera; on this course I'm still learning the wallturns in hairpins. They are probably the most difficult turns in the whole game. But my time increased from 1:06:41 to 1:06:13. Almost under 1:06.
Just before Christmas Yang and me again went to the arcade. Well this was a very good idea. Last week I broke my Subaru Impreza times and have a 4:02:90 potential time. I thought let's play Mitsubishi Lancer now for a few times. I always heard that the Lancer is the fastest 4WD car.
This was a very good idea. My desert time is not as good as the Impreza but the rest of the times are way faster!!! Desert: 57:15.
Mountain was going great also, I got 1:01:90. And now snowy, Anecdote his fastest time is 57:16 and my fastest time was 57:68, played Subaru Impreza. I went so fast I couldn't believe my eyes: 57:23 !!! Yang was totally flipping, he said I'm playing 57:16 for half a year now and you drive Lancer one time and play a 57:23 time. But I thing I was a bit lucky!!!
On Riviera I also went faster, finally under 1:06. My fastest time now is: 1:05:84. My total time went from 4:03:33 (Impreza) to 4:02:93 (Lancer). And my potential time is now 4:02:12....
Happy new year to all Sega Rally 2 players!
I played this week but didn't get faster. I also tried the Peugeot 306 maxi, sorry folks just trying... Man this car is really fast!!! After 10 times I played 56:90 on Desert and 1:02:32 on Mountain. But hear this I got 57:83 on Snowy and 1:05:27 on Riviera. My fastest total time was 4:03:64 and my potential is now 4:02:3x. But I don't want to play this car!!! Everybody plays Peugeot 306 maxi, but my friends and I want to show that the 4WD cars can also go fast. So I think I still will go on playing Mitsubishi Lancer and Toyota Celica (which is now available again). And Peugeot just for kicks.
This week I only played Sega Rally for a few times. I played only Peugeot 306 Maxi. Man that car is fast!!! This is not honest against all other cars. I understand that most people drive Maxi now, but driving the 4WD cars is much more fun. And more DIFFICULT also. The Peugeot can easily drive 1:01 times on Mountain, and 1:04 times on Riviera. Even on Snowy, which is a 4WD stage, the Peugeot is really fast.
Again I did play the Peugeot. After about 4 days I could get a 4:01 time... And I thought this was difficult to do. YES by 4WD cars it really is!!! I played for months now and still have a 4:02:93 time playing Mitsubishi Lancer. I'm telling you it's not honest.
I played the Dreamcast version of Sega Rally 2: What I thought about it is: The graphics are very OK, but the frame rate is very bad. Too bad of Sega Am Annex, I didn't think of that they would deliver such bad product. Well it isn't really bad, but I think it could have been perfect. You know I have played the arcade very much, so I can easily see the differences, and a friend of mine saw the differences also. But overall the game play is perfectly simulated as the arcade and there are a lot of options available. I think I would give it a 9.2 rating.
I went to my own arcade... yes they were open again. After a long rebuilding, they have expanded now more machines are available. But the coolest of all Sega Rally 2 four player action!!! I've played a little bit, but not very much, Lancer 4:03:99, very bad, but I will start practicing soon... I also want to buy a Dreamcast, but it's a bit too expensive, anyone who read and can deliver a cheap Dreamcast (cheap is about $350~$400) please mail me. In the Netherlands Dreamcast is still about $550 to $600. I think this is too expensive. But in the meantime I play Rally 2 in my arcade.
I'm constantly thinking of buying a Sega Dreamcast because of Sega Rally 2. It certainly looks good. I went to "the Wall" (my arcade) this week but I didn't know if I break any records.
I bought a Dreamcast this week. And a friend of mine also did. He bought Sonic Adventure with it, I bought Rally 2 with it of course! I'm driving Peugeot 306 Maxi now because I want to break the 4:00 border. I'm a 4WD fan but first I want to drive under 4:00 and then I'll go for a 4:01 time with 4WD. I'm going faster and faster because PEZ gave me some good tips. I can actually overtake the Peugeot on the left side on Mountain...! Thanks PEZ!
I haven't got colors on my TV while playing Dreamcast. This is really annoying, I'm waiting for a RGB scart cable... While playing Peugeot 306 I also got 57:19 on snowy but I cannot break my personal record on Riviera: 1:04:67. And the Desert course is really annoying me, this because I cannot go faster as 56:5x. I don't know how those guys are driving 56:3x. I also played Rally 2 on Dreamcast but this is really hard my record is 4:05:38x (306 Maxi) Potential 4:03:xxx.
I'm coming close to the 4:00 border: 4:00:64. My Mountain is improving, I can overtake the com car on the left (after the K-right, K-right), but my fastest time: 1:01:33 was made while overtaking the com car on the right!!! But I think it's possible to actually drive 1:01:1x. I have colors on my TV now with Dreamcast and practiced the Riviera course, this is HARD. But my first lap record is 34:21x and my second lap record is 31:16x, actually not bad I think. I beat the 10-year Championship within 4 days. This wasn't really hard. Year 8, 9 and especially 10 were hard. I had beaten year 10, but then lost on the Super Special Stage. By the way this stage is really COOL! Yang practiced this course with the Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 (4 WD) and got really fast times.
Again faster times with Peugeot 306 Maxi: 4:00:52. I finally got faster on Riviera: I broke my first lap record, 33:62 and my second lap record is 30:80 so potential I can go about 1:04:42 but still these records were not in one time, so my record is still 1:04:67... I borrowed Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast from a friend, he got my Sega Rally 2. Sonic is really cool but the most annoying of the game are the viewpoints!
Yang and me got to the arcade again, but I didn't break any records, not even a stage time! I think I didn't had my day this week. Now when we go play Sega Rally 2, I first play a few times 4WD Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota Celica or Subaru Impreza. Last week I broke my Riviera time with Lancer: 1:05:66. This week I broke my Mountain time with Celica: 1:01:82. Tony Man (KKT) also broke his record, we used to drive together half a year ago but now he's working, while I still go to school, so he has little time to play Rally 2. But I'm still very happy for him. I hope he reaches the 4:03 border soon. His record is 4:04:43. With Impreza that is!!!
This week was very cool, I went very fast on Desert: 56:43 and then faster again: 56:34. Finally...! I broke my record after 2 courses: 1:57:84 and I also broke my total time: 4:00:29. After I screwed up five (!!!) times after each other 2:55:5x to a 4:01 time, but the final time was good for a 4:00:29 time. Yang finally broke his Snowy time: 56:96 COOL. Man was he happy...and I'm happy for him too. For Dreamcast I saw almost every new game this week and I played The House of the Dead 2 with gun. This game is so cool I would buy a Dreamcast for it. But I'm also a really Capcom fan so I bought Marvel vs. Capcom. This game is also really cool and features a 4 player mode!!! This week Japanese player DKI broke the world record: 3:57:91. Talk about fast huh? And Japanese player TAT got 3:59:96 with Subaru Impreza and KKG got 4:00:11 potential with Lancia Delta!!!
I'm sorry readers, I did not make updates because I'm working now. I have a temporary job until the new school year begins. But I still played Sega Rally 2. I drove 4:00:00 TWICE!!! Man I think I'm never go under 4:00. But then finally I went 3:59:98... But I can say one thing I still wasn't happy with my time. I'm coming closer to the top times in the overseas top 50 though. My potential is already 3:59:1x. I'm sometimes playing the Dreamcast version of Sega Rally 2, but not Arcade! I don't really like that.
My times are improving. I went to my local arcade with Anecdote and we taped a few runs of me. Anecdote quits, he says, well people I say: "first seeing it, then believe it." I raced only once 1:04:43 on Riviera, and when we taped I did it again. YES, I was very happy and it was a great run, I think I'm getting the hang of the Riviera course. And I also drove my snowy better. My potential is increasing, but My times aren't Why? I'm almost one second away from my potential.
Also in these weeks Anecdote and me, we played the Dreamcast version of Rally 2: Stage: ISLE SS2 he drives Renault Maxi Megane and I drive Peugeot 106 Maxi. The first two days that we played we both won a lot of matches, but the Megane is the faster car and Jantje is going faster. So now I also have to pick the Megane to keep up with him (the Peugeot 306 Maxi is too fast for the Megane Maxi) We always play 2 player battle, with 3 sec. time lag. It's really cool!
My Arcade Sega Rally 2 record is now 3:59:82, but my potential is still a lot faster 3:58:90! I don't know how to drive Desert and still don't know how to take the MEDIUM LEFT on snowy... I hate that turn.
Ok faster times for me: 1:00:95 on mountain, finally I broke the 1:01 border. Snowy 57:08, but still no perfect run... Oh yes, message to all people who want to see a snowy video (mpg) it's coming up next week, I hope. Anecdote will put it on my site. And finally Riviera, this course wasn't my favorite but it now IS! I changed my driving style a bit and got 33:49 for the first round, who that's only 0:01 sec. behind Japanese driver KKG. And I also improved my second lap: 30:75. I must say The total Riviera time depends mostly of the first hairpin in the second round If you can take this very well you can race under 30:80. My record went from 3:59:50 to 3:59:34 and my potential is also improving: 3:58:66 after a Riviera run of 1:04:29!!!
I didn't play Dreamcast this week, too bad. By the way Rollercoaster tycoon is also really cool! Thanks must go to Brian.
This week LOS was in the Netherlands. Anecdote, LOS, and me went to the Arcade, we filmed for an hour or something and then a lady from the Wall (our arcade) came up to us and asked if we were filming! We said yes obviously, and then she started to get angry and demanded the tape. I was really pissed off! We wanted our tape back, now LOS came to the Netherlands maybe for nothing... At home I called the Owners of the arcade and asked about the tape, the president of the arcade said that I could get it the next day on his office. Well with a little talking I could get the tape, finally. Now I want to thank ANJA for getting the tape: Anja you B#%#tCH!!! Well on to the times I did pretty good a lot of 3:59:50 to 3:59:36's and I improved my snowy time: 57:03... Whaaaah, I want that 56:xx time!
I'm practicing with 4th gear on Riviera. Thanks must go to KKG. Anecdote cannot get 4:00 with Corolla... Hurry up Jantje. And this week we both played the Dreamcast version, practice Snowy SS2. This stage is very cool. By the way if you finish 10 year championship on the PC version you will get the Cerolla, it's a frog on wheels and it's very fast! This week I also put my time in Arnhem (NL) above A.A's First time there now is 3:59:66.
Sorry for lack of updates, I haven't very much time, because school has begun again!!! I finally got 56:98 on snowy. But I cannot improve my mountain time. It is 1:00:92 and it will not improve. My open hairpin left is a true disaster. Anecdote has 4:00:99 with Corolla. Way to go Jantje!
At last I got 3:58:88... Thanks to KKG, SAS, PEZ, ESP, YHM an KKT. My stage times were: 56:45, 1:00:98, 56:96, and 1:04:49 (33:50 AND 30:99!!!) Man!! 30:99 I can do better than that. But nevertheless I got 3:58 and I'm very very happy. Now I want to try to get first place in overseas championship. But to get 3:58:xx is still very hard.
I did not play very often. In fact: last two weeks I didn't play at all. I only play Dreamcast at home: Streetfighter Zero 3 (World Tour) and Sega Rally 2 DC. Anecdote has borrowed my House Of The Dead 2. "Hey Jantje I want my HOTD2 back!" When I play these weeks I hate mountain, because I cannot get it right... THE OPEN HAIRPIN LEFT annoys me. I'm thinking of quitting SegaRally 2, I already have 3:58:88, this is OK...! Anecdote is getting mad with Subaru Impreza, Celica and Lancer, He already got 4:00 times with all these cars. Now c'mon Anecdote get that 3:59:xx time with Mitsubishi Lancer and we'll quit. A few people of the overseas list have the idea of a Sega Rally 2 meeting, but where? and when? Who will come, I hope this will work out, I would very much like it. In these weeks I broke my Riviera record: 1:04:21. Talk about fast huh? I was going beserk on Riviera according to Anecdote. Well I can say it went pretty well. Also KKG is back after a long time of absence. I'm glad he's back and he equaled the snowy record of NJA: 56:58 THAT'S FAST. He already has 3:59:94 after two weeks playing.
I talked to Anecdote on the phone this morning, I want to go play Rally 2 arcade! Well he cannot come today, he must go to school. No I'm on my own, no worries, it's practice time!!! Today I my fastest time was 3:59:06! And that after two weeks no play! Also Toyota Celica and the Lancia Delta are available again. I played Celica and got 4:01:75, pretty good but the open hairpin is also very sucky with this car... "Jantje teach me how to do the open hairpin please?" I'm still glad that I didn't quit yet. Personally I want to get 4:00 with Lancer and 3:58:6x or something. Oh yeah PEZ when you read this 4th gear is more difficult on Riviera than 3rd gear and 4th gear is definitely faster! And ehhr I cannot do 4th gear...
This weeks I did not play Sega Rally 2 so I cannot tell you anything about it, I can tell you that I'm expecting Hydro Thunder soon in my arcade though...
This Saturday I went to Anecdote with Dino, a friend of mine. I showed Anecdote my replays of Sega Rally 2 for DC: The Super Special stage, my time till now: 2:15:8xx, but I'm still practicing and I also can learn a lot. In the afternoon we played Ferrari F355 Challenge. This game ROCKS!!! I completed Monza on intermediate difficulty after about ten times playing. I came in third. After that I played 3 times Sega Rally 2 arcade, my fastest time was 3:59:30. This week we (Anecdote and me) also went to Rotterdam, to meet 2 other Sega Rally 2 players. They wanted to learn how to play Lancer and Delta, I showed my times: after 4 times of play: 3:59:58, But Anecdote showed how to play Lancer: 4:01:22 hehehehe...
I didn't play Sega Rally 2 arcade anymore, so I got nothing to tell.
Happy new year, and best wishes to all Sega Rally 2 players. This two weeks Anecdote and I got invented by the Japanese players to come to their country and play a little tournament. It's probably the last Sega Rally 2 tournament, so I really want to go! But my school's first, if I pass all my exams, I will go, at least when Anecdote goes... I didn't play Rally 2 in the arcade, but did it on Dreamcast. My fastest time was 4:02:160, and I never really played serious. Until this weekend: I got 4:00:689, it's the 17th place in the Japanese ranking board. I want to get 3:59:xxx, but I still have time for that. Next week I'll get Gran Turismo 2, I want to try that game again. I played a lot of the original Gran Turismo you know...
Last week (week 3) I only played Gran Turismo 2. I started with 10000 credits (US version). But I didn't get a car, first up all licenses, B all gold, cool a Honda Spoon S2000, then I got all other licenses, except the Super License. First I want to get all gold in A-international License, so I got it. It took me about 2.5 hours to get it. I had the most trouble with the seconds exercise: Drive a Honda NSX on Apricot Hill, man that was difficult!!! Now then the fun started, Dino and me started officially racing, in the FTO LM edition, that I got from all gold (A-international license) hehe. Now we got 38 cars, but then another friend of mine had to have his PSX back.... :-( too bad, but maybe I'll get it next week again!
By the way Sega Rally 2: I played in the arcade in Arnhem, at Anecdotes arcade and my fastest times were:
desert: 56:31
mountain: 1:01:01
snowy: 57:01
and riviera: 1:04:41
my total best after 3 courses 2:54:64 and total best of that day 3:59:18!!! Can you believe that after 3 months no play! Oh yeah I almost got 56:xx on snowy with Lancer... (57:05) I hate the hairpin on snowy with 4WD! Do you folks have any clue which game I should buy: Crazy Taxi or Biohazard CV??? Please mail me if you have any of these games...
Well I bought Biohazard Code Veronica, I think and also hope that this is the best game... My sister wants to play Biohazard and I'm glad to say that all talking is in English! I got Anecdotes Playstation this week and Tony Man (KKT) just got back from Hongkong and he brought Gran Turismo 2 (the Japanese version). I have all gold in all licenses now, that includes the Super License (thanks must go to Terence from Hong Kong) Dino and me, we thought of creating a very huge car test in Gran Turismo, and test all car that we have bought and won on the Seattle short course and then make a short describing and publish it on my site!
Dino and me went to bring my dad to Schiphol (our airport), he is on holiday to Brazil, and on our way back we stopped in Arnhem to visit the arcade, we played Ferrari F355 challenge, and I got the top time on Monza, race and on the simulator level! Dino screwed up about 4 Ferraris F355 hehehe! He still must learn how to drive...:-) My fastest time was 3:46:408, lap times: 1:57:097 and 1:49:309. Maybe I'll make a F355 challenge guide for Monza one day...
Anecdote finally has got a sub 4:00 time in arcade. He played the whole week after along time no playing and he maybe thought, he'll never get the 3:59 time, but then it happened!!! First 3:59:99 and one day after that 3:59:91 Congratulations!!!
Anecdote and me were invited to go to Japan to visit the Japanese Sega Rally 2 players and play and learn Sega Rally 2 from them! Too bad we couldn't go!! To ITO san, when you read this: One day Anecdote and me sure hope to come to Japan, maybe this summer! The Japanese players had a tournament one day of these weeks, and some fine times were achieved. KKG san is now driving Ford Escort, I sure hope that he gets a sub 4:00 time with Escort, and I think it's possible. Japanese player TAT did 4:00:23 this week with Escort. Congratulations!
This week I'm going to the arcade with Dino again to play F355 challenge, I'm going to try and break my record! Anecdote took pictures of his times in the arcade, but they failed, that remembers me something, I'll still want to scan my 3:88:88 and my 3:46:408 of F355 Challenge to put that it on my site!
DKI-san updated his times on the Masuda list: he still has the world record and sharpened it: 3:57:35!!! Unbelievable. Anecdote is playing Subaru Impreza, to improve that time. And he finally got his Sega GT from me, because his Dreamcast is now back from the store!
WEEK 32-33, (2000):
Hi people,
Anecdote and me, we finally went to Japan!!! ITO-san invited us to come and also to play Sega Rally 2 with some players. Well since I don't play SR2 anymore I still like the invitation and would like to see Tokyo. I made a link on my site where you can find pictures that we took in Japan.
We raced with ITO, QED, DKI, NYA, K.H, and GIC-san. I liked it very much. DKI-san was playing Mitsubishi Lancer, he got 3:58:96. I asked him if he wanted to play Peugeot 306 one time to show how to drive. He did: he managed to get 3:58:14 in his second run, with a screwed up Riviera 1:04:50... (Bibiera hehe)
I got 3:59:27 on that day, already after 5 times play. And that after no play for 5 months! ITO san also did 3:59:27! My Riviera still was very good, although I still use 3rd gear in hairpins, I managed to get 1:04:31. Japan is a very cool country, I know that I will go to this country again!!! Thank you very very much for your hospitality, I'll hope you will come to the Netherlands one day, to visit us.
WEEK 5, (2001):
Hi again people,
Last week a friend and me, we renewed my website. I want to apologize for putting the not working website on the net. But at least now it's working. I'm still working on the disabled things.
This week I played Sega Rally 2 on Dreamcast since a long time. I started out with the Peugeot 306 Maxi, but did not go any faster in a short while. After that I played the Subaru Impreza WRC and went a lot faster on the different circuits. My desert time is: 57:050, mountain fastest is: 1:01:986, snowy's fastest is 57:500, and I'm still working on Riviera, hehehe. But my times are improving and I'm also want to play the Toyota Celica and the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 5. If you want to see my fastest times, you can at the "MY TIMES" section. I colored all new times yellow.
I also want to play Ferrari F355 challenge again, but there's no time for it. And I also want to play PSO, Phantasy Star Online, but I'm desperately in need of a 4Mb memory card. So please Anecdote find me one...! I want to play games!
By the way, if you have any reactions or comments on my new website, you can mail me at gouki@freemail.nl.
WEEK 33-34, (2001)
Hi Sega Rally and Phantasy Star Online fans,
I haven't updated my new site in a while. But now i had the time, I updated it again. I added 2 new links: one to LAP & KAY's Racing site, they're from Hong Kong. The other new link is to Maniak*HT's Phantasy Star Online site. He's one of the few people who I play PSO online a lot with.
I havent played PSO online for a while till yesterday (19-08-2001). I thought it was really fun again. I'd miss you Halo! :-) I have been playing Gran Tursimo 3 all the time. 3 weeks ago I bought a Playstation 2, just to play GT3. I think this game is very cool, it plays as good as the other Gran Turismo's and looks as the best racing game yet on any platform.
IcGdoty IC> where are you? I haven't heard you for a long time...
I heard that GSR-san from Japan has still been playing Sega Rally 2. He's broken a few records. He reached 3:58 with Delta! Unbelievable, and congratulations.
