-----As they pull away, Seth is left with Runik and the three animals. The musician continues to pour over his newfound books and strumming his harp while the dwarf strolls about taking in the surroundings and swinging his warhammer.
-----After a bit, Runik seems to grow bored. The dwarf paces around somewhat and occasionally puffs out breathes of air.
-----Finally, he scans the horizon about them and sighting no activity, he stretches out on the ground and cups his hands behind his head. Content for the moment to listen to Seth idly picking tunes on his harp, Runik hums lowly.
-----Albert hops over to a close small exposed stone. As he stands there, he reaches forth his wings, cawing and croaking as if annoyed by the inactivity.
-----Seth looks at Runik and states, "I am sorry that you are becoming bored. I am about to rest and learn a new complement of spells. While I am resting could you look over me and make sure no one disturbs my rest. Once I have rested, I think we may find something for you to do to keep you occupied."
-----Seth gives Albert one last morsel of food and begins to learn his new spells for the coming day.
-----"Aye," Runik replies, "I be keepin' the watch, though I don' be seein' anything to be keepin' an eye on other than that house over thar!" The dwarf points what looks like a small farmhouse about a half-mile to the southwest.
-----A while later, Seth finishes up with his study of spells. A grunt from Runik alerts him to the return of the Dread Pirate. The halfling pirate is seen racing across the plains back to the site of their camp.
-----Gimplefwick can see that Kazel, Krord and Brandel are gone having taken the wagon with them.
-----As the Dread Pirate approaches, Albert spreads his wings and caws loudly.
-----The Dread Pirate waves cheerily as he enters the camp. He hands Seth a handful of papers, saying, "I found these stuffed in a desk, past that trapped door with the purple gas. There were a couple more traps further on, so be careful if ye decide to go in there."
-----Seth greedily takes the papers and begins to read them. Part way through he looks at Dread and asks, "Did you read these?" and then without waiting he continues looking at the papers.
-----About three of the papers appear to be maps of some sort showing the interiors of several structures. There is one that seems to be a castle type building; perhaps the interiors of the town's keep. On another paper is diagramed a network of tunnels that make their way below the town. The third indicates the internal structure of another large building shaped somewhat like a temple.
-----Finally on a torn piece of parchment, Seth finds something interesting in a handwritten scribe. It reads:

-----Time ta git
-----While the gettin's good.
-----If'n the plague don' get ya,
-----The dead surely would!
-----Sabbar's been playin'
-----N' Ulwe's been at it too.
-----Nothin' left ta grab
-----Fer a humble tradesman's due.
-----So now I be leavin'
-----Soon I be gone
-----Sorry there be nothin' ta leave
-----But the town's gone wrong!

-----The Dread Pirate nods, "Aye, there's really just a bit in there about Sabbar and Ulwe. I'm guessin Sabbar is Abbar. It mentions leavin town and the plague."
-----Seth, when finished reading, packs his books and scrolls away and then stands up. "Well, I have finished studying and am ready to go and do something."
-----He places a hand on Runik's shoulder and says, "Our dear friend, Runik, is itching to do something. He was most bored watching over me during my vulnerable time as I studied and rested. Perhaps we could check on Kazel or maybe investigate that farmhouse over there. We do not have some sustenance and a bath, maybe we could find both there, and it would be a much better camp then just here in the dirt." He turns and tries to look disgusted at their present squalid living conditions.
-----Seth looks up from the papers and shrugs, "You know that magic ring I have? Well Sabbar is part of the command word to make it work. It is also written inside the ring. You know, we have maps there of the sewers, and stuff, we could set up a small guild chapter here, and it would be in place before the town could rebuild making it harder to get rid of.. Just a thought."
