Blanka is a local legend in Brazil. The truth behind his origins is somewhat of a mystery, as people think he was shocked by electric eels and raised by wolves in the jungle. The WHOLE truth however, is much darker.

Blanka was found in the wild, a young boy struggling to survive. His plane went down when he was but a child, and he had to fend for himself in the jungles of Brazil, raised by wolves. Until that is, the Shadowloo found him. He was their first major experiment, an evil series of tests which gave Blanka the ability to produce an electrical killing attack, and while keeping him intelligent, raised his levels of ferocity.

Blanka was the opponent of Ken Masters in Brazil. Ken defeated him, after which Blanka returned to the Shadowloo headquarters. After learning of Balrog's defeat by Ryu, he tried to position himself as one of the four lords of Shadoloo. But Bison used him still, as he sent Blanka after Chun Li. Chun Li defeated Blanka thanks to Ryu's help, and Blanka realized that this was not the path for him. He eventually returned home to Brazil, where he was reunited by fate with his mother, who recognized the anklets she gave to him years ago. She told him that his name was Jimmy, and said she had been searching for him for a long time, and she never gave up hope that he was still alive...
