Dee Jay is a very musically-inclined, yet down-on-his-luck kickboxer from Jamaica. He entered the second Street Fighter tournament for the prize money that was to be gained from it. With the money, Dee Jay wished to record a very influential rap/reggae album and make it big. However, he didn't get very far into the tournament before being defeated by Zangief. He returned home, still down on his luck, but with a new musical inspiration, and took odd jobs before finally being able to scrape the money together to make a record. He eventually got a deal with a major recording studio and hit the big time, becoming a very famous rap/reggae star with a unique and cool musical style.
