Rose's origins are somewhat of a mystery. No one knows who she is, where she came from, or where she got her mystically based powers and skills.

It is rumored that perhaps Rose is a being called a Darkstalker, or one of the mystical and mysterious descendants of a race of powerful ancients. One thing is clear, she was sent to stop Bison for the vile misuse of his powers. And so she entered the Alpha tournaments in search of Bison, to seal off the use of his powers.

Rose did not succeed in her mission at first. She was sidetracked when Bison went into hiding after his defeat at the hands of Ryu and Ken. And so she bided her time until he resurfaced in the second Alpha tournament. This time however, she had help in the form of Chun Li. The two confronted Bison, and Chun Li kept him busy while Rose performed a mystical incantation. This succeeded in sealing off most of his powers, enough for her to possibly succeed in killing him. However, Bison escaped. He was still alive...After the second Alpha tournament, Rose disappeared, and her whereabouts are still a mystery.
