In the Shadows
Akuma had only one more person to take care of in order to ensure the safety of his power and secret. He found out about the Street Fighter Alpha tournament, which determined the best fighter in the world. Akuma came to the tournament to watch, behind the scenes, and determine who may pose a challenge to him....
Sagat
Sagat had went into seclusion after his defeat at the first Street Fighter tournament. He had secretly trained to get better in order to defeat the man of his humiliation, Ryu. The Alpha tournament came to his attention and he took the chance to search for the Shotokan fighter and defeat him.
Adon was Sagat's former pupil. With the disappearence of Sagat, he became the Muy Thai Champion. However, he was still under his former master in the eyes of the spectators. Adon did not think so, and believed he had surpassed his mentors strength and skill. In attempt to show that he was the best Muy Thai fighter in the world, he tracked down Sagat to the Alpha tournament and prepared to defeat the former champion.
In Sagat's wake was Dan Hibiki, the incomplete Shotokan fighter. He had searched the world for the Muy Thai fighter that killed his father and tracked him down to the Alpha tournament. Finally, he found the murderer and faced him. Sagat was still bitter at the loss of his eye to the boy's father and showed him why he was former champion.
Wanted: Bison
Bison was in need of some highly skilled fighters to transform into super human fighters. He got wind of the defeat of the former Muy Thai and Street Fighter champion. With the use of his power over the crime world, he came to information that Ryu had fallen the great Muy Thai warrior and that he would attend the Alpha tournament. In search of this prize fighter, he entered himself and some other fighters caught his attention.
A mysterious woman also appeared asking questions about the crime lord. When someone asked for her name, she only answered Rose. In the tournament she displayed powers that no one else had seen before. Upon close investigation, they only knew that she used a power similar to that of Bison himself, called Soul Power.
Chun Li came into the tournament looking for the man responsible for the disappearance of her father, Bison. She discovered that he was the drug lord of a oraganiztion called Shadowloo. She entered as an agent for Interpol to learn and bring down the oragnization.
The US Army has sent orders to bring down the crime ring known as Shadowloo. Charlie discovered that the head of the organization and the man who had tortured his unit, would be attending the Alpha tournament.
Warrior's Dreams
Ryu saw the fight between Sagat and Dan, and recognized some of the familiar moves in Dan. The fight was coming to an end and Ryu realized that Sagat was going to kill the pink Shotokan fighter. Ryu stepped in and stopped the fight, and Sagat was ready to crush his humiliator.
Sagat was on his knees again, before the Shotokan fighter. Ryu looked down at him and told him that a true warrior fought with skill, not emotion. The Muy Thai fighter was only angered by his loss and once again vowed the death of Ryu at his hands. Ryu left him in his thoughts and rage.
A little while after the fight, a man approached him. He announced that he was Bison, and was the head of a crime syndicate called Shadowloo. He offered a high position at his side to the former champion. Sagat was still enraged at his loss and declined to go into seclusion once more.
Chun Li finally found the man named Bison and confronted him. He demanded to know where her father was, and he told her he had killed her father for snooping around his organization. Chun Li swore to avenge her father and attacked. Bison laughed and unleashed his Psycho Power.
Charlie tracked down the drug lord and found him at the battlegrounds. He faced the power-mad dictator to arrest him for uncountable crimes. Again, Bison laughed and defeated him as well, leaving the US soldier for the dead.
After defeating the two nusances, Bison discovered that Ken had trained with the fighter he was looking for. Ken was in search for Akuma and his friend Ryu. He wanted to defeat both but found neither. Instead, he found the drug lord, Bison. He succumbed to Bison's Psycho Power and had his mind warped for the only purpose of defeating Ryu....
Bison set the re-tuned Ken on Ryu and laughed as he tried to talk to his friend. Eventually, Ken was brought out of his zombie-like state and the two set their sights on Bison. He made the crucial mistake of lowering his Psycho Power and was defeated by a double Hadouken.
After-math
After his defeat, Bison fled into the seclusion of Shadowloo again. Rose was disappointed that she was unable to find her target. She, too, went into seclusion, to bide her time and search for Bison with her own methods.
Ken returned home and met a girl that he eventually fell in love with. He revealed to Eliza that his purpose of fighting was to one day become strong enough to defeat a powerful man, and avenge his wrong doing...
