Terrans should have an orderly and well placed base for them to succeed in the upcoming wars. Lift off can make it easy to correct mistakes but the real trick in construction your base is making it fit for defense. Scvs should be plenty to mine the minerals about 2 scvs per mine spot. About 3-4 scvs should go for gas depending on geiser distance. Remember to hotkey scvs in case of attack for them to be ready to aid in repair.

  • A bunker should be placed in the mining operation of your workers because most players use drops near the mining area to halt your progress.
  • Bunkers should be constructed to cover each other so that if an enemy unit closes in a bunker, the other bunkers have them in reach.
  • Use supply depots to the fullest. A carefully placed supply depot can block attacks from a bunker or your units while you safely attack from the cover of the depot. Depots are cheap, but losing too much can slow you down.
  • Clear way the sides of buildings capable of add ons which you will want to construct later.
  • Ideally, it is best to expand right after an attack you have successfully defended with ease. The enemy has to buy time for reinforcment. Send two scvs and some marines in a resource spot. Have one construct a bunker and a missile turret immediately. Then, build your command center and/or refinery.
  • Terran buildings take up a lot of space, be sure to construct them side by side to save space but at the same time, being careful not to block off units passage ways.
  • Try not to concentrate bunkers in a single area unless you are expecting a heavy frontal attack. Drops and sneak attack can devastate you if the enemy exploits this weakness.
