-----Jeilin shakes her head, and now looks more closely at the boxes and the coins for any clues about their origin. "What did you think he was disappointed about, perhaps not enough monsters?" she asks Dilton idly.
-----“Morethen likely,” Dilton says intruding on her thoughts, “It be that Lovan feller what threw them coins. Get kinda moody that one does.”
-----The warrior pauses and then says, “If’n it be Master Sol, then me thinks it coulda be on account o’ Lady Sarah leavin’ us like she did.”
-----Though no expert at ancient coinage, Jeilin nonetheless pockets some samples of each for later examination. Any clues that may shed light on the regional ruins would help, perhaps the language, the portraits or the minting years on them. "Well Dilton, I think we've spent enough time for this simple cellar," she says as the librarian in her tidies up the remaining coins back into the coffers. "Let's not have the storm worshippers wait too long."
-----Dilton breathes a sigh of relief; perhaps from wanting to leave the darkness of these chambers. He quickly leads Jeilin up the stairs and they emerge into the standing ruins. There, they find Lovan and the woman they had saved from the clutches of the goblins.
-----Lovan stands to one side with a blank look on his face as his eyes scan skyward. The woman is resting comfortably at the moment and Sol and Garrison are notably absent.
-----Jeilin stands next to Lovan, scans the sky with him and nods. Turning to the rest, she says, "Let us see how the others are doing, shall we?"
-----Dilton impatiently speaks up instantly drawing the storm priest’s attention. “Where didst Master Sol n’ Garrison git off to?”
-----Lovan for a moment seems a bit shaken as if awoken from an unsettling sleep. He frowns and looks at Dilton but not out of anger so much as if confusion. “I believe they climbed further up toward the village.”
-----“It is silent,” a voice says and everyone realizes it is the woman they saved from the lower chambers. She sits up with a pale expression and her eyes look startled. “They have been gone for a while and I hear no noise coming from the ruins above.”
-----"Mmm, then let's go see if anything has happened," Jeilin replies. "Either way, they would be expecting us to follow."
-----To the woman, she asks, "Are you fine to come along? Or perhaps you have another destination?"
-----The woman answers, “Yes, I will follow. I do not wish to be alone.”
-----Dilton helps the woman to her feet and looks out toward the top of the hill. He raises his arm pointing and says, “I be a’seein’ Garrison up there!”
-----Lovan shakes himself out of a daze and says, “No wasting more time.” He then begins striding up the hill toward the woodsman.
-----Garrison stands cautiously below the crown of the hill scanning the surroundings with his eyes. He also casts impatient glances toward those approaching. Meanwhile the clouds over the hill seem to move faster and turn darker.
-----"Oh, I hope there are no more goblins," Jeilin says as she trails after Lovan. "Or we shan't be done until the next sidereal winds!"
-----“Yes, yes, woman,” Lovan says quickly as if impatient to quiet Jeilin so that he can continue to observe the sky. A wide smile then crosses his face. He spreads his arms wide as he takes in the churning clouds just over the hill. “The Great Rager is showing his favor!” he suddenly yells excitedly. At the moment, the wind seems to pause as if something were holding its breath before a great onslaught.
-----Garrison and Dilton glance at each other with alarm registered on their faces. “That’s not always a good thing,” Garrison quips before adding, “We’ve got to find Sol!”
-----Everyone picks up the pace as the woodsman leads them around the perimeter of the hill’s top. The crest of this landform had been long ago built up to help fortify the village without building walls around it. It took a few moments for Garrison to lead them to a road that headed up the incline so they could gain entry to the village proper. Just as they entered the ruined village, the wind began to pick up and rumbles of thunder were heard.
-----The buildings within the village are mostly long low buildings with stone foundations. It looks as though more recent people lived here as some of the buildings have been maintained, although the village looks totally run-down and vacant now.
-----Over the tops of some of the buildings, the top of a larger building that is perhaps a village hall or temple is seen. It is there that Garrison points. In the increasing wind, the woodsman yells, “I think Sol headed for there!”
