-----Seth holds onto the man’s left arm and begins to reach forward with his right hand toward a fair sized purse located around the man’s sash.
-----The merchant suddenly embraces Seth and kisses him on both cheeks. The merchant pulls back from Seth and looks him full in the face with a frighteningly huge smile, "Sir, you must tell me of dis marvelous art work you have!"
-----The other merchant standing beside the art-enamored merchant and the embraced half-elf watches with raised eyebrows and a slight smile. This man is a bit taller and slimmer wearing an embroidered robe of white and blue covered with a dark blue cloak. He has a thin well-maintained beard and mustache and dark hair covered by a small blue cap.
-----Kazel walks calmly and slowly behind the slim merchant. She glances around and then makes for his purse, which is attached to his sash on his right side. Just as she reaches out, the merchant still watching the embracing couple unfolds his arms and pats his purse. He then holds his arms dangling down in front of him.
-----The tubby merchant releases Seth and asks him, "Ist there a place where in I can see your masterpieces?" In his excitement, the man releases a small bit of spit with the word, ‘masterpieces’.
-----Kazel watches Seth getting smothered and is glad she didn't talk to the Gorians. She browses the goods at the tents a bit, then checks if the slim merchant is still distracted and tries again! The man still watches the interaction between Seth and the pudgy merchant with interest.
-----Carefully she approaches behind him and reaches forth one hand. She finds a button on the purse that fastens a small strap around his sash. She deftly releases the purse from its owner and in one turning motion, she hands the purse off to Gimplefwick.
-----Meanwhile, Seth continues his conversation with his ‘newfound friend.’ "That is most excellent, my friend, I have some fine examples at my lodging, although most of my finest works are in my forest retreat. But tell me please, if you are not Benny, who are you? Oh, it is such a treat to find a fellow art lover. Maybe you have some fine works that you may have with you for sale?"
-----The pudgy merchant bows toward Seth answering, "I am Louie DeCalver! It just so happens I do have a couple of pieces I have collected in my journey here. Please, they are here in my tent. You simply must gaze upon their beauty!" Here Louie kisses his own fingers in a kind of salute.
-----Seth now makes a great play of looking at the sun. "Oh, by Joren, it is now 2 hours after noon!!! I must hurry to my next appointment. Will you join me in some refreshment at the most exclusive Silver Star tavern near the town hall."
-----"Ah, my dear friend, Ramone, I would be so honored! What time shall we meet? We must discuss the classic stylings!" replies Louie.
-----Seth points towards the east, "Oh please, promise me you will come, no one here understands!" Seth says in a pleading voice.
-----"I will, I promise!" Louie practically swoons, tears streaming down his chubby cheeks.
-----Seth announces, "Eight hours past noon would be perfect, and now, my dear Louie, I must be off to the temple. I am looking forward to our meeting tonight." Seth turns and heads north toward the temple at a brisk pace.
-----Louie and the other merchant wave and Louie’s high-pitched voice can be heard tearfully saying farewell.
-----Kazel starts to follow Seth at a distance until the merchants are out of sight. "So, what is your plan here?" she asks when she catches up to him.
-----She then turns to Gimplefwick, "Let's see how much is in that purse..."
-----Seth keeps walking. He says in a very quiet voice, "Let’s go to a tavern right now, and Kazel make it a safe one. In fact, let’s go to your safe house right now. I . . um . . feel funny, I don’t think Gimplefwick should count the money. We need to plan. I think I should meet Louie tonight, I also got something."
-----Seth is obviously babbling, and not coping too well after the adrenaline rush. "With this money I need to buy some things, to make disguises for all of us. I...Um, Yeah, please Kazel take us home now."
-----"Are we still casing the weapons shop, then?" Kazel asks of Gimplefwick. "Or do you all want to buy things or just head back?"
-----At Kazel's reference to 'work' Seth stops, calms down and faces both Kazel and Gimplefwick. "Um . . sorry, you two, I also managed to get some coins, and I got excited, especially about Louie having some artwork in his tent. I am better now. I am able to continue on with the plan of casing the weapons shop." Seth now looks in his pouch to count the coins.
