Pokemon Crystal

Pokemon Crystal is to Pokemon Gold/Silver as Yellow is to Red/Blue. It's basically the same game, with Pokemon spread in different areas, and a few additional features. The first feature you'll notice is that you could play as a boy or a girl. Then, you go through the naming process and start out at the same place as in Gold/Silver. Once again, you pick one of the three starters - Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile.

In battle, the first thing that I noticed is that there are introduction animations for the enemy Pokemon. For example, Hoppip opens and closes its mouth, Pidgey flaps its wings, and Sentret waves its hands.

Other new Crystal features include:

• There will be Cell Phone support, where the player could trade Pokemon over the cell phone!

• The introduction screen is completely redone, and looks like Suicune is the star of the tale!

• Finally! Celebi is now available to be captured!

Unfortunately, no US release has been announced yet, probably due to the fact that cell phones aren't as popular here as they are in Japan.
