Chapter 6

Cloud had crashed his fist onto the wall. "Cloud...?" Ciat Sith probed. "I don't want to hear this anymore!" Cloud yelled, as he grabbed Aeris by her shoulders. "Don't you understand, Aeris?? I don't want you to leave us anymore... not like last time!!" Aeris looked away, as tears trickled down onto the floor. Ira looked at the two of them. "No, Aeris, you won't have to go through all by yourself." As everybody heard it, all of them stared at Ira. "You meant it? Ira?" Yuffie stammered shakily. Cloud's eyes fixed onto Ira. "Positive. You people can help Aeris with her travels, but the DESTINY is fixed. She has to kill Sephiroth by her own power." The crew agreed. Aeris smiled and bowed. "Thanks alot, guys... i..." "Aw, Aeris! Don't thank us! Thank HIM instead!!" Barret laughed and pointed at Cloud. Everybody rolled into laughter. Aeris blushed and looked at Cloud shyly. Cloud's cheeks did glow with a slight shade of red as he smiled.

Then, Yuffie noticed something. "Hey, where did that Tifa go to? Its awfully late!!"

Tifa sat at the edge of the cliff, as she glanced up into the night skies. The skies were full of glimmering stars. She sighed heavily.

"Cloud..." She mumbled. Suddenly, she heard great flapping of wings. She spun her head around.

It was Aeris.

"Tifa..."

"Aeris?? How.. did you know...?" She sputtered.

"I'm a Cetra, remember? Now, Tifa.... i'll like to talk to you."

"What? About Cloud? Sorry. I'm not interested." Tifa hissed, and turned her back against her.

"Tifa... please don't misunderstand me. All i want to tell you is, you are the one for Cloud." Aeris explained, and folded her wings.

"Huh..?"

"I'm not destined to be with him. Having him to love me will only bring much sadness to his life. Only you... can bring supreme happiness, Tifa." Aeris continued, as her hair danced in the soft night breeze. Tifa's bright crimson eyes widened. "But... you..."

"Indeed... i love that man with all my heart... but..." Aeris paused as she fanned out her magnificent wings. "I'm already dead now. Having him loving me is just wasting his life. I'm already fully contented being able to know and to fight side by side with him previously. Now, Tifa, bring happiness to the man you truly love." Aeris said gently, as she pointed at Tifa, with the chipped materia glowing under the pale moonlight. Tifa looked at Aeris' beautiful, radiant face. Her face shone more beautifully under the vast of stars. Her brilliant eyes gleamed vividly like orbs of emeralds. She's.... so beautiful... Tifa looked down. Suddenly, she felt that Aeris' love for Cloud was truly great.

Even greater than her own.

"But... i don't think i can do it.. Aeris..." Aeris smiled as she kissed lightly at her forehead. "All you need is time. Its getting late. I'll fly you back." Tifa buried her face into her smooth white robe, with tears flowing out. Somehow, she felt secure and safe when being with her.

"It's sure windy tonight..."
