Cloud was in the elevator when he heard what was happening but when he got there all he found was a badly wounded Cyris, Cloud hit a switch on the wall beside the door, the lights flicked and turned on, the floor was covered in blood, as well as Cyris.

Cloud his another button, and the intercom menu was activated, standing in front of it he spoke into the mic, he paged Tifa, and Aegis, they reached his lab to see Cloud standing beside the lab table holding Cyris’s paw, and trying to wake him up.

Tifa ran to Cyris, She turned away the gaping wounds made her stomach queasy.

"Cloud what happened and where is red??" Tifa said starting to cry.

"Yes Cloud what happened." asked Aegis

"I don’t know but I think Red had something to do with it look at those bite marks, and I found this it’s a tooth, but that’s not important right now. He’s dying you have to do something."

Well, ok I can’t just let him die, but I can’t work in here it’s too messed up I’ll have my assistants wheel him down to the old lab."

Tifa Followed Cyris as he was wheeled down the hall. "Hello, I’m looking for Doctor Aegis" A voce started Cloud, "You must be Daniella, Aegis is sorta busy right not." Said cloud

"Why yes I am but you can call me Ella. What happened in there???"

"Oh well that’s what Aegis is busy with." said Cloud

"Ahh ok, how’s Nanaki, he must have taken quite a beating?"

"Actually it’s no Nanaki it’s hit brother Cyris, we don’t know where Nanaki is right now."

"Cyris, hmm it’s been along time since I’ve seen him, is Ramus here???" Asked Ella

"You know about them??"

"Ya I was the one in charge of mental analysis of them." said Ella

"Well there’s nothing we can do you want to go and get a coffee or something?"

"Sure why not I’m buying." said Cloud walking toward the elevator.

Back in the lab where Cyris was taken Tifa was standing behind him gently stroking his fore head and ears. Hours pass, Cyris is starting to come out of it while he was still being patched up. Still a bit groggy be instead of seeing aegis he saw the scientist from his memories, he tried to get up but Tifa held him down, while one of the assistants injected him wit more drugs. Cyris fell asleep.

"Well he should be ok he just need’s lots of rest." Said Aegis taking off his surgical gloves.

Ella and Cloud stepped off the elevator, Aegis was just walking out of the lab.

"Aegis how is Cyris?" asked Cloud

"Well he’s stable for now but he’s heavily sedated he kept coming out of it, he was also mumbling something about Nanaki but I couldn’t make any sense out of it. Tifa’s in with him now why don’t you go in and see how she’s doing." Aegis said then began walking down the hall, "Damn dog’s why the hell couldn’t they have fought outside, ruin my lab." Aegis muttered to himself as he signaled some janitors to help clean up his lab.

Cloud and Ella walked into the room, Tifa was still petting Cyris, his and Nanaki’s blood had dried to his fur.

"Tifa why don’t we let him rest we can find out what happened later." said Cloud

"Well ok"

Tifa, Cloud and Ella go to the Highwind and are greeted by Cid and Ella, they talk for awhile and turn in for the night.

Back in the lab Cyris is waking up, his heart beat quickens, his pulse is racing, his breathing gets faster, the light glaring in his eyes, he’s tied down, he tried to get up but he can’t. The door creeps open and a short fat man enters the room, "HE, he, he, he, well I never thought you would come back here and look your all tied down and ready for some fun."

Cyris growled but the man came closer. He jabbed a needle into Cyris’s arm, the liquid was thick, he could feel it in his veins, it seemed to be strengthening him mending the inner wounds and repairing the outer one, all but the one’s on his face.

He fought more to get free, the straps where loosening but the man didn’t notice.

"Well kitty, kitty, time for some electroshock therapy" said the man placing a rubber device in Cyris’s mouth and placing a leather strap to keep his mouth shut.

The man shaved small patches on his Cyris’s body, placing the electrodes on them he began to charge up the machine. Still trying to break free hundreds of volts was sent through his body.

Again and again he shocked Cyris, still working away at his bonds he managed to break them leaping at the man he ripped his chest with his claw. Cyris scared ran down the halls to an elevator, he was confronted be a guard and ran the other way, finding another elevator he ran to it and went to the ground floor there he saw the ladder leading to the deck of he Highwind.

Reaching the ladder he jumped for it ,landing on it he pulled himself up to the deck ran to the conference room Cid was sitting in his chair sleeping, he jumped up on the table, and ran to Cid.

"CID WAKE UP"

Cid fell backwards on his chair he got up off the floor and looked at Cyris, he was obviously frightened, he could see the fear in his eyes.

"Cloud, Tifa, Ramus, Ella wake up! Cyris is back!" Cid yelled past there room on the way to the bridge.

"Cid I want to get away from here as fast as I can!"

"What’s wrong Cyris??" asked Tifa

"I was attacked in my room by some short fat guy, he injected me with something then he electrocuted me, I’m lucky I got away" said Cyris who was still out of breath and scared out of his mind.

"well, well, well, appears you managed to get away good, that man would have killed you" Everyone turned around to see Aegis in full battle regalia.

"That man was one of Hojo’s assistants, I’m not sure what he injected into you but from the way you healed so fast I think it might have been mako."

"So where to, I didn’t get up to stand around!"

"Well I think we should go pick everyone up then go to the City of the Ancients no one will look for us there." said Cloud everyone nodded in agreement with his decision

Cid set the course into the Highwind computer, they where then in a mater of minutes

Barret, Cait Sith, and Vincent boarded the Highwind at Costa Del Sol, and Yuffie got on at Wutai.

The whole gang was together now with a few extras.

They all stayed in the elder’s house in the Shell village, Cyris and Ramus slept outside, Ella and Aegis where comparing notes, Cloud was at the projector most of his time, while Vincent, Cid, Cait Sith, Barret, Tifa, and Yuffie explored the village and surrounding area, Yuffie was happy she found a new materia, it was a summon materia, it was Kappa, and completely useless to her, although she didn’t want to give it away she gave it to Cloud.

They all slept peacefully that night all except Cyris, his mind filled with thought of his brother, the coldness of his voice his eye, black and empty. It was all too much for him to comprehend. Cyris woke in a cold sweat, heaving Ramus was beside him watching him.

"Wow that was some dream you where having, did you get lucky??" Asked Ramus with a smirk

"NO! it was about Nanaki, you pig!" answered Cyris

"Sure whatever you say," Ramus says sarcastically.

"I have no idea why I talk to you you’re a complete waste of time"

"Go to hell Cyris" Ramus rests his head on his crossed paws and goes back to sleep.

Cyris laid there staring up at the stars Ramus huffing in his right ear.

"OH YA OH BABY" Ramus says in his sleep.

"Damn dog all he ever thinks about is getting his rocks off"

Ramus groans in his sleep, Cyris got up and moves away from him.

Cyris looks up at the stars again, "Well Nanaki I know your there somewhere." Cyris closed his eyes and went to sleep.

In the morning Cloud woke everyone up and got them on the Highwind, “Hey Ramus you look a bit tired” said Cloud

Cyris looked at Ramus and laughed.

"We should go to Cosmo Canyon, maybe Seto has some news for us."

The Highwind reached Cosmo Canyon, the Cosmo candle was out and the town was in ruins. Seto had fended off the enemies but was wounded in the fight.

Cid stopped the Highwind and everyone got off, "What happened here Seto" asked Cloud

"We where attacked" said Seto

"From the look of it there from SOLDIER" Said cloud

"There are still people out there who still believe in Shinra, and Rufus, they attacked they must have wanted the huge materia but Seto managed to fend them off." Said Cait Sith

"Why are they after the huge materia and who are they taking orders from?" Asked Barret.

"Hmm odd indeed, really make you think" Said Yuffie

A loud explosion was heard the observatory was blown to pieces, a demon like creature emerged from the flames carrying the huge materia with him.
