This is Revision 1. That means that this file is NOT complete. This is a
preliminary file so that SOME of the MANY secrets in thes game are revealed.
This file is specifically for those who are big FF fans, but those who aren't
may find themselves fans after this file and a few hours of play. I myself
have seen such a transformation of someone who hated RPGs to someone who only
plays and buys RPGs. So here is Revision 1. By Shadow Fighter, of course.

This hint file will tell you all the ins and outs, all the strategies, all the
secrets, all the spells, all the espers, all the items, and more in Final
Fantasy III. Read this whole file, and you will conquer Final Fantasy III as if
it were Mystic Quest. There is so much to discover...

One note I would like to make first is that although this game is truly
great, for some reason (maybe I'm just getting too much RPG time in...), it
doesn't seem to have the pull of making you want to replay it like FF II did. I
think it might be because of the fact that you can actually get pretty careful,
trying to increase your stats at level up. In the other games, except for FF II
on SNES, there was not this factor to worry about. And on FF II it was very
rare, and only affected HP at level up. I guess it takes away part of the fun
factor of knowing you can go kick some monster a$$ and gain levels without
worrying about Esper equipping. This in mind, the game becomes enjoyable again
after you have reached a high level, with many battles between level ups.
One mistake you must try not to make is getting too worked up about
going through the game perfectly. Although it is an excellent goal, with this
game the task is so complex it almost becomes a chore, and will make the game
horribly unenjoyable. Go throught the game at a somewhat leisurely pace. Don't
stick around to gain 50 levels in the first world, but don't feel like you need
to be at less than level 15 before you arrive at the World of Ruin.
Don't get me wrong, this game is still great. Once you turn it on, you
are usually hooked for 2 or 3 hours. And of course the secrets are present,
making the game well worth replaying...who knows what I've missed? Random items
are sure to be hidden that I have not found. So wherever you go, be original!
In my hint file on FF II, I told about attribute bonuses. This game has
made my job much easier. To see the attribute bonuses, simply look at the item.
I may consider an attribute bonus chart in revision 2. Until then, just look it
up.
In this game, the story line is huge. I have tried to give a clear,
complete outline of the game from start to finish.
Notes section: This section is various notes about some things that
require explaining in depth. You should read this.

Miscellaneous Notes:
--------------------
1. Magicite, Magicite, and Magicide...
In the game, there is often much confusion about Espers. When they die,
they become Magicite, I think. You can also get the Item Magicite which calls
upon a random Esper. There is also Magicide referred to in the game. This is
a typo, more than likely. So when I refer to Magicite, just read the res of the
sentence and you should understand what I mean.
2. Getting those Elixirs...
There are four main ways to get Elixirs. (1) To Steal them from an enemy
(usually a Boss), (2) to win them after a fight (rare), (3) to find them inside
chests (rare), and (4) to find them in Clocks (almost every single one in the
game). You will want these Elixirs! They can be very helpful when you are in
a fix! So wherever you go, search the clocks. They are the most common source.
3. Originality
I'm sure I missed many hidden items in the game. Let's face it, Final
Fantasy III is by far the largest Role Playing game ever released in the U.S..
So, be original! When you get to a certain part of the game, try going back to
other areas and talking to people. Try approaching things with character
relationships and ties in mind (for example, entering Rachel's house with Locke)
and you may find some unexpected surprises. These tend to spice up the game a
lor, so be on the lookout for them.
4. Steal from those bosses!
At most of the bosses in the game, it is possible to have Locke in the
party. You may want to keep Locke in the party as much as possible. Many boss
creatures carry around rare or unpurchaseable items on them. For example, you
can get a Murasame from the Behemoth in the Cave on the Veldt in the World of
Ruin before he becomes SrBehemoth. Other bosses have interesting items such AS
(try to get these, they're there, I've stolen them. Nothing major, but see if
you can get tehm for fun): Murasames (2 of them), Debilitator (World of Balance)
FakeMustache, Memento Ring, Air Lancet, Guardian, Elixir (many).
In addition, there is one boss in the Tower of Kefka (I won't tell you which)
that is hoarding two Flame Shields and an Ice Shield! GOOD CATCH!!!!!
Of course, some bosses are holding other items or sometimes no items. Try it!
For example, the two Machines in the Magitek Research Facility are hogging,
believe it or not, a Tempest sword along with a Drainer sword, both of which
cannot be bought or found in more than one other place in the game. See the
value? There is even a boss (I won't tell you which one) that has another
Force Shield. By the way, some bosses and enemies carry more than one type of
item, and as a result you may be able to sneak a different item from them in
each battle.
5. Veldt monsters
Did you ever notice that not all the monsters you have seen appear on
the Veldt? Well, here's the reason why. >>>IMPORTANT INFO<<< The way you get
monsters to appear on the Veldt is to defeat them at least once. Example:
You will NOT get Intangirs on the Veldt unless you kill one first. Example 2:
You will NOT get Gigantos on the Veldt unless you kill the one on the Floating
Continent. You get the point. The same rule goes for all other monsters.
6. Enemy treasurehouses
Steal from enemies. They can have some REALLY good items. For example,
the HadesGigases found in Zozo will give you Atlas Armlets, which you cannot
normally get more than one of until the World of Ruin. Now you may get all you
want. Other enemies have various items that are rare, as well such as Dragon
Horns, Genji Gloves, etc. Steal from every enemy you can. An excellent place
to do this is the Veldt, where monsters from all over the world may be found.
7. Ultimate Veldt Learning Team!
Take Relm, Strago, Gau, and a powerful character and what do you get?
The ultimate learning team. Have Relm sketch enemies (or control) to see what
their attacks are. If they have Lores, learn them. Otherwise Leap with Gau and
learn the Rages. Your guys will gain Skills incredibly fast doing this!

Notes about Level:
------------------
1. Depending on your Level...
All the damage and power of weapons, armor, and spells are affected by
your Level. Even if your statistics don't go up, all these are indirectly
connected to your Level. Your defensive and offensive power with weapons, magic
and some items (like the Throw command) WILL increase with Level.
2. Gaining Level...
Always try to gain levels. It will make you more powerful. Also, as
soon as you get Magicite, equip the correct Espers to enhance each character's
main strength or weakness, whichever you want to develop. Remeber, once you
gain a Level with almost any Esper, something in the Level gain will be affected
as indicated in the description of each Esper. One things that is incorrect in
the game is "At Level Up: Strength+2" Strength means your Vigor. Don't be
confused. Also remember that once you gain a Level and save, the chance for you
to increase your powers by having equipped an Esper is gone forever. If you
enhanced your abilities, that is locked in place. Try to gain the Espers at an
early level and then keep them equipped. Idealy, you should really wait until
the World of Ruin to gain the last 70-80 levels. There you can have all of the
Espers that enhance your stats more than some of the beginning Espers.
If you are interested in doing this, the best way I have found is this:
A. Get a group of two fighters. Make sure that they have curing spells and some
powerful attack spells. If you do not have any characters like this, go to the
Veldt and learn some spells. Ultima is the best, but others will do.
B. If your strongest attack is with weapons, give that person the RELICs Genji
Glove and Offering. If your strongest attack is Magic, ust the RELICs Gem Box
and Economizer. If you are missing one, substitute something, like the
Atlas Armet for the Offering, and the Hero Ring or Crystal Orb for the Gem Box.
C. Go to the forest NW of the Veldt, or surrounding land (this is near the house
of Gau's father). Fight here, preferably in the forest. Equip the Espers you
need to enhance your abilities and watch your experience levels rise. If you
want levels FAST, you should use an Exp. Egg as one of your RELICs.
Doing the above, I reached Level 99 on three guys in less than 5 hours
or so. Use these guys to get rid of the nasties in your way in the long, hard
levels and give the Moogle Charm to the other party in places like the Phoenix
Cave.

Notes about Magic:
------------------
1. How to learn Magic without gaining Levels
Why would you want to do that? Simple. Because some Espers teach good
spells over a long period of time, but do little or no benefit to you at Level
Up. To maximize your Level Up efficiency, go to the Veldt to learn spells. On
the Veldt you will receive NO experience, only MP and GP. Once you know your
spells, gain your levels with Espers equipped solely for the purpose of raising
certain stats. Much more efficient than going through the game otherwise.
The other great area for spell learning is the Phantom Forest. Single Ghosts
give you 3 Magic Points, and are worth very little experience.
2. Using Magic wisely - Battle
Be smart. Attack aquatic enemies with Bolt-type spells and Fire-type
spells. Hit fiery enemies with Water or Ice attacks. Hit flying things with
Earth-type attacks. Attack icey enemies with Fire-type stuff. If an enemy
doesn't have a weakness, either use the TOOL Debilitator or slaughter it with
your weapons.
3. Using Magic wisely - Normal
Always use the first Cure spell unless you have Economizers. When in
battle, you may wish to use Cure3 instead of Cure because you need HP fast. But
when in the subscreen, you have all the time in the world. You can heal many
more HPs with Cure for the same amount of MP as Cure2. This can save you
MPs. Also, try to use Antdot on poisoned mebers instead of Remedy, Imp on
Imps, and Dispel if you don't have either. Conditions change drastically when
you have the RELIC Economizer. You can cast Cure3 for the same cost as Cure. 1
MP. So cast Cure3, Life2, Life3, Remedy, Ultima, all the big MP eaters.
4. Fallen One
Again, not a secret, but something that needs talking about. Beware of
the creatures that cast Fallen One!!! One of them is the Doom Dragon...the
spell Fallen One is absolutely second-to-none in destructive power. Your ENTIRE
party's HP will go to 1 or 2 if the monster/Kefka is successful!!! A horrible
fate, to watch your guys die before they can heal themselves. To save yourself,
dispatch the Doom Dragons you encounter as fast as possible, and use the
Megalixir when Kefka tries it on you. Fortunately, characters with extremely
high magic dodging rates CAN block this, often saving the whole party.

Notes about Relics:
-------------------
The book is wrong. There is not a "trio" of great Relics. Here are the
ones that are actually good to have, and worth it:
1. Genji Glove
One of the best Relics. Allows you to equip 2 weapons. A bad point is
that most weapons do only 50% damage when being held with a Genji Glove. If you
are a strong character, the amount may be closer to 75%. It is variable, again
depending on Level. >>>SECRET HINT<<<: You can get as many Genji Gloves as you
want! That's right, as many as you want! They can even be gotten in EITHER of
the two worlds. You get them by Stealing from Dragons. Just plain Dragons.
Not White, Red, etc, but regular Dragons. These can be found on the Floating
Continent OR on the Veldt. In the World of Ruin, you may get Dragons only on
the Veldt. It is rare to successfully sneak the Genji Glove, usually it is a
Potion instead. But you have about a 20% chance of grabbing the Genji Glove.
Go for it!
2. Offering
Possibly the best Relic. Allows four attacks. If combined with a Genji
Glove Relic, the result is four two-weapon attacks, inflicting huge damage. If
you have a Level 99 character, this can result in as much as 79,991 damage! For
your information, that is enough to kill almost ANYTHING, including Kefka!
3. Gem Box
Like an Offering for magic. Allows the use to cast 2 spells in quick
succession. Excellent when combined with an Economizer. You can do some really
huge damage with this. Especially if you have MagPwr 99 and know Ultima...!
MEGA HINT: Try to Mimic characters casting double Ultima spells....!
4. Economizer
The Economizer allows the user to cast all spells and Lores at a cost of
1 MP each, no matter what. This can come in EXTREMELY handy. Cast Cure3 for
the price of Cure, cast Life2 for the price of Life, Fire3 for the cost of Fire.
You get the point. Incredible power at your command for infitismally small
amounts of MPs.
5. Exp. Egg
Excellent for use as a Level gainer. Equip it and watch that character
receive double experience from each battle! If you're ready to go for Level 99,
you will definately want one of these! Trade for it at the Colosseum or find
one in Daryl's Tomb.
6. Sprint Shoes
This Relic will let the party go twice as fast. Useful for exploration
and getting places in general. Don't leave home (or the Airship) without it.

Notes about weapons:
--------------------
1. Atma Weapon
The Atma Weapon is totally dependant on two things. One, the LEVEL of
the wielder. Two, the current NORMAL (things like the Muscle Belt make NO
DIFFERENCE) HPs. As HP and Level (Level can go down by Dischord) decrease, so
does the damage done by the Atma Weapon. Therefore, the higher the Level and
NATURAL HP of the fighter, the better the damage. Let me explain the HP thing,
as it may be confusing to some. Let's say you have a character. They are
wearing NO armor, NO relics. This means that their status is pure. In other
words, all of their stats are what they actually have. This is the amount that
the Atma Weapon draws upon. Let's say that fighter has 500 HP. Then they equip
the Green Beret. They now have 530 HP. The Atma Weapon would NOT count the
extra 30 HP. It would count only the 500 HP. Understand? Once you reach a
high level, you should be able to do 9999 damage per swing. Another interesting
fact about the Atma Weapon is that it does NOT do reduced damage with the Genji
Glove, but remains the same, since it does not draw upon any stats except HP and
level.
2. Using MP to Inflict Mortal Damage
Have you wondered what this means? Well, it is something unique to a
few weapons. What it means is that for the sacrifice of a small number of MP,
the sword will connect with a critical hit every time, each time draining a
small amount of your MP. For those who don't have previous FF experience and
have never heard of a critical hit, it is when the screen flashes during the
attack and you score a large amount of damage more than normal. Usually, these
attacks are random, but with weapons that use MP to inflict mortal blows, it
will happen every time you swing as long as you have MP. Want some big damage
without losing the MP? Equip the Offering (or simply Genji Glove). Equip one
of the Mortal Attack weapons in the left hand, and in the right the Soul Saber.
Now, you will swing and do mortal damage, then recover the MP's with the next
swing!
3. Ultra-Powerful Attacks
On many occasions, you will find your character almost sitting on the
ground, with almost no HP left. If you look at the status, it says "Near Fatal"
and this can be good or bad. It is bad, obviously, because that character will
probably take damage and die. The good part is that it may WIN you a desperate
battle. WARNING: DO NOT DEPEND UPON THE FOLLOWING PART!!! IT IS VERY RARE AND
ONLY HAPPENS AT RANDOM!!! Sometimes, choosing the command "Fight" will result
in a super, mega-powerful, huge amount of damage inflicting attack. For
instance, Locke's "Mirager" attacks the enemy (I was at around Lv20) for about
4000 damage instead of his usual small amount. That last example was for a
apx Level 20 character, just for your benefit so you can compare damage. This
can save you from a boss, or better, it could defeat Kefka. Do not rely on
these. They are extremely rare, and out of over 100 hours of playing time, I
have only seen it happen twice. So basically, it has a snowball's chance in
(well some might be offended by the language, so I will * it) hel*.
4. Random Casting
Many weapons randomly cast certain spells. There is no pattern to it,
or any trick. It is purely random when the weapons cast it. Some weapons are
much more likely to cast their spells than others. For instance, the Illumina
weapon casts Pearl MUCH more often than the Pearl Lance. It may also depend on
who has the weapon equipped. Randomly cast spells DO NOT take MPs!!!
------------------
Special Challenges
------------------
1. Intangir
Right after you read this hint file, you will be wondering if there is
anything left for you to do besides gain Levels. Well, the answer is YES! If
you want a big challenge, try this. You will need a group in the World of
Balance that posses the Airship. Fly to Triangle Island. I strongly suggest
you bring Mog with you. Walk around until you get an Intangir.
A. About the Intangir:
The Intangir is a huge, hulking purple (no, not "and green dinosaur")
thing which resembles a Behemoth or SrBehemoth. It has 32000 HP and 16000 MP.
That's right, thirty two thousand hit points and sixteen thousand magic points.
For a World of Balance monster, they don't come any tougher than this. This
monster is hard to kill unless you take the sissy way out. :-(
B. Strategies:
The only way you stand a chance is probably through Mog's Earth Blues
Dance. The powerful Sonic Boom, which drains 1/2 HP of an enemy, will drain
9999 from the Intangir. The only problem is that the Intangir has a special
defense. The Intangir is invisible. The only way to bring him into the open is
to use magic or be successful with something like Sonic Boom. Blitzes and Tools
generally don't work. I'm not sure about SwdTechs. Anyway, he appears. You
have a VERY short time in which to hit him. He will cast Meteo (not Meteor)
and then put himself to sleep again (this makes him invisible). Shell and Safe
won't help you here. Neither will Rasp unless you have about 10 gizillion MP
and HP, and know Cure2. Of course, sucking away his magic points a few hundred
at a time would take forever. Instead, just keep healing and praying for Mog to
do the Sonic Boom. I recommend EXTREME defensive. The best thing to do is have
every character cast Cure2 on all. When Mog's Sonic Boom starts doing less than
9999 HP damage, you know the Intangir is running low on HP. Mount your most
powerful attack. Unless you kill him in one blow, he will use Escape! What do
you get after this battle? A measly 10MP.
C. The easy way:
Cast stop. Then slaughter the thing. Make sure to cast Stop every
third round of attacks to keep the beast from waking up.
D. Why kill one when it has no reward?
Because, once you kill one, they appear on the Veldt. Take Gau and you
can learn the technique of the Intangir (casts on your guy: Float, Vanish, Safe,
Shell, Haste). Unfortunately, Gau's Rage often ends in Pep Up. But at least
you cen let Strago learn this one! Oh yeah, you can steal the item Magicite, as
well.
2. Steal from Still Life!
Ever tried it? It's nearly impossible. Your reward...a rare, unpur-
chaseable FakeMustache RELIC. Try it for kicks or see if your characters can
last the whole time...
3. Steal from WrexSoul!
Ever tried it? It's nearly impossible. Wait, that's what I said last
time. Well, it's a little easier. Make WrexSoul appear, then steal from him
to grab the secret third Memento Ring.

HOW TO FIND THE HARD-TO-FIND THINGS IN GENERAL

Before the World is Ruined
This stuff is found ONLY in the World of Balance. You CANNOT get this
once you enter the World of Ruin time period. Get it before, or not at all.

Shadow's Hidden Dream Sequence
Note: This can only be done after you have regrouped, and journeyed to
Kohlingen by Figaro Castle. Get Shadow by taking only 3 party memebers in
Narshe. Enter Kohlingen and talk to Shadow in the Inn. He will join you for
3000 GP.
Have you ever wondered about Shaadow's mysteriousness? No, he wasn't
always an assasin. In fact, he was a spritely little guy wearing a cool leather
cape and living off stolen money. To see the great dream sequence, you will
need approximately 2000 GP. Go to Jidoor. Eneter the Inn. Shadow must be in
your party. Stay at the Inn until you see the first dream sequence. Then,
continue staying at the Inn until Shadow, AKA Clyde, arrives at Thamasa. That
is the last dream in the sequence. Nothing special comes out of this, but it
is fun to watch and reveals more storyline, like many other events in this great
game.
Hidden Edgar & Sabin scene
This one can be done at the same time as Shadow's dream sequence. You
need to enter Figaro Castle with Edgar and Sabin in the party. You will see
how it came to pass that the brothers were separated, why, and how the decision
was made. Interesting enough, if you have Sabin and Edgar in your party when
you get the Airship, you find out something peculiar about the coin used in
the scene you see...
Hidden Locke scene
Again, same time as the previous two. Enter Kohlingen with Locke in the
party. Then go to the home of the late Rachel. You can see what really
happened to her, and you will finally find out why Locke is always talking about
it. Then go to the house on the far right side of town. Inside, talk to the
old guy in the basement to see another short scene.
Getting Mog
I would like to note that you may get Mog EITHER before or after the
world is ruined. Before is better, however, since then you can learn the Water
Rondo. To get Mog in the World of Balance, you must first get Terra back from
her Esper form after the whole business with Ramuh and friends. As soon as you
are on the airship again, go to Narshe. In case you stop at Figaro Castle, you
may notice that the pickpocket Lone Wolf has escaped his cell by digging out of
it. Once you go into Narshe, pass through all the crud about how you must open
the Sealed Gate, etc.. Now, go to the treasure house on the extreme right of
town directly down from the Returner house. Inside, near the chest that cannot
be opened, is Lone Wolf. Speak to him. He will run away. Go out the door.
Now, enter the MAIN mine entrance, the one you went in during the very beginning
of the game. You should see Lone Wolf a total of 4 more times after leaving the
house. Climb all the way to the very top of the cliffs, where the frozen Esper
is. The 4 Lone Wolf sightings should be finished when you cross the wooden
bridge. Now, Mog is with the pickpocket. When you approach, Lone Wolf says
"Halt! Don't move or this one's dust!" You will be pushed back. To get the
scene to continue, DO NOT MOVE for about 5 seconds. Mog will stand up and
start grappling with Lone Wolf. They will both be knocked to the edges of the
cliff, clinging for life. Now you have a choice. You may:
A) Talk to Lone Wolf and steal his Gold Hairpin Relic (50% MP cost) or
B) Talk to Mog and save his life
Whichever you do not talk to will fall off the cliff to his demise. I strongly
suggest you save Mog, as you may get many Gold Hairpins and Economizers later,

Getting Mog's Water Rondo Dance
I hope everyone appreciates this one. This took me a while to discover.
It was tricky figuring out how I was going to get underwater and be able to get
back to the Airship after. But I took the plunge, and here's what I found...
To get this strong Dance, Mog should be in your party. Land the airship
on the Veldt. Enter the Crescent Mountain cave. Jump into the Serpent Trench.
Fight here, underwater, to learn the good Water Rondo Dance. Once you arrive at
the town, buy a Chocobo. Use it to go straight through everything until you
get to the cave of Barren Falls. Get off the Chocobo. Eneter the Barren Falls
cave. Jump into the falls. You will wash up on the Veldt. Go back to your
airship. Takes apx. 10 minutes! The Water Rondo is an excellent Dance, and
combines the best from several Dances. Wild Bear is a powerful Curative Dance,
Plasma is a strong single-enemy attacking Dance, El Nino is a very strong, enemy
punishing water attack with some cool animation, and Specter is a great enemy
confuser. The best of the Dances. Very useful. Oh yeah, the Wild Bear not
only restores HP, but status as well!
Getting a Hero Ring
To get the Hero Ring in the first, go to the future Colosseum and enter
the house. In case you don't notice, there is a pot on the left. Search it for
a Hero Ring.
How to get the Treasure of the Imperial Base
Remeber the door in the house at the Imperial Base you couldn't enter?
Well, once you have finsished talking to soldiers at Vector, if you talked to
enough, a messenger tells you to take whatever you want out of the base. So
go get it! Also, in the lower right hand corner, out of view, is a hidden chest
containing an Elixir. Another top-secret thing is here. Have you ever searched
a furnace? If you have, you've always come up with nothing (or at Gau's house,
a blast of fire). But here is the one exception. One of the few Flame Sabres
in the World of Balance exists in the furnace of this room. Grab it as well as
the Elixir. This place is loaded!
The Relic Treasures of the Floating Continent
The floating continent isn't a secret, and neither are the mosnters, but
they carry a treasureload of Relics and Items! Try to Steal/Capture from all
the enemies! Included in your winnings, you may find some of these...
Running Shoes...Dragon Boots...Cure Ring...Genji Glove...Back Gaurd...Potion...
X-Ether...and more! The enemies here are strong, so beware.
Premature Debilitator Tool
Normally you've got to wait till the World of Ruin to grab this. Now
you can have one to use against Atma (that's really all it's good for by the
time you get it, but if you are having trouble with Atma this is perfect for
you). To get it, you must Steal/Capture from the Air Force's little sharkhead
like thingys. The Air Force itself is hoarding an Elixir...

Unlimited Genji Gloves
BIG SECRET!!! Unlimited, UNLIMITED, U*N*L*I*M*I*T*E*D Genji Gloves!!!!
The only way you get them is to Steal from the creature "Dragon" in:
A. (In the World of Balance) The Floating Continent (easiest to find Dragons)
B. (In the World of Ruin ) The Veldt (much rarer)
To get the Genji Glove item, you can Capture, Steal, or use the dirk
ThiefKnife. You will need to do this on a creature called "Dragon." This is
NOT one of the 8 Dragons in the World of Ruin. It is just a Dragon. Also,
your chances of getting a Genji Glove instead of a crappy Potion are apx twenty
to twenty-five percent, decent odds! When you consider what a Genji Glove can
do for you in battle, you may want to stock up on 5 or 6 of these handy relics!
Remember, you want a MINIMUM of four of these babies. If matters came to worse,
with four, you could equip every guy with one, and if you were doing a part
with multi-group battling, you could de-equip them from each group and give
them to the next. Why not? Grab em!
To get the Magicite "Sraphim"
This can be found, in EITHER world, by going to Tzen. Go to the North
East corner of town, and you should be able to see a guy walking back and forth
in the trees. Talk to him. For 3000 GP, you can buy a glowing stone, which is
actually Sraphim, a valuable Esper. Or, if you wait until the World of Ruin,
when or after the house catches fire, you can get it for a mere 10 gold pieces.
It's best to get it early on for the good healing spells.
To get the Magicites "Golem" and "ZoneSeek"
They one is found at the auction in Jidoor. Golem costs 20000 GP. Go
prepared. You may have to wait through some other crap before it is offered.
Same with ZoneSeek, which costs 10000 gold pieces. Golem is a good thing to get
in the World of Balance, since it is the only Esper at that point in the game
that will teach you Stop. If you're planning on going Intangir hunting, you
will need this Esper.
Get a second Memento Ring Relic
To get another Memento Ring Relic, go into Strago's house. Up in Relm's
bedroom, on the left wall, towards the top, search. You will find a chest in
the wall on your left. There is a third Memento Ring, as well.

The Snowman Jazz Dance for Mog
This may be hard to find for some, thought I think it is somewhat
obvious. The only place in the game where you may fight in the snow is Narshe
in the World of Ruin. Go toward the top of the cliffs (where the frozen esper
is) to eneter the snow. You want the Esper and to kill the dragon up there
anyways, right? Why not bring Mog along?
Third Memento Ring
Why do you want this? Don't ask me. But you can get a third one. The
trick is to Steal from Wrexsoul. If you don't know who Wrexsoul is, see the
section on Cyan's hidden scenario.
Fish, Fish, Fish, and Fish!
To get four, yes FOUR types of Rare fish, even though I'm not sure if
they have a purpose, you must capture them in the ocean on Solitary Island. In
order to make more fish appear, you must talk to Cid (alive or dead). This sets
more fish in motion in the water on the screen below the house. Catch enough
fish and you're bound to have the Rotten Fish, Yummy Fish, Fish, and Just a Fish
Items. If you want Cid to recover at the beginning of the World of Ruin, you
must continuosly feed him the Yummy Fish. Here's a chart of how Cid gets:

Ogre Nixes Galor
Ogre Nixes can be gotten at the Colosseum. However, you have to trade
a decent item for them, and they break randomly. The reason you want these is
because they are some of the FEW weapons that will use MP to inflict mortal
damage. To get these nice items, you can metamorph the Gigantos monsters.
You can get these on the Veldt IF you killed the one in the Floating Continent.
A Free Soul Saber
Normally you can only trade for them at the Colosseum or steal them from
the extremely rare monster on the Veldt known as Steroidite. But you CAN get
one for free. In the basement of Figaro Castle, where Edgar fights the huge
Sand Worms on the engine, you will notice that his "friends" come out of a door
in back of you. After they leave, go inside it. There is a golden statue and
many empty chests. Looks worthless, right? Wrong. Search the statue and you
will get a Soul Saber. This game is interesting. It provides you with hundreds
of opportunities to search statues, and you don't find anything. Then it hides
stuff where you least expect it. Remember this tip. It comes in handy in many
areas of the game. In fact, you may wish to hold the A button wherever you go
so you have a better chance of finding hidden items.
Moogle Charm (No Random Attacks in ANY Areas)
The Moogle Charm is an EXTREMELY valuable item. It will let you get
through even the WORST parts of the game (like that stupid Fanatics' Tower)
without fighting ANY random battles! To get it, you must have found Mog,
he must be out of the way. It doesn't matter if he's in your party or not, so
long as you have him onboard the airship or with you. Return to Narshe, and the
Moogle Village. Remember where Mog was standing? Search the wall behind there.
You will get the Moogle Charm. Now you can EASILY explore the most massive
areas in the game without fear!
Find the Imperial Letter
The Imperial Letter is stupid. It's "secret" is marked on your map. It
is the Phoenix Cave. If you want the letter anyways, just use the clue "talk to
the emperor twice," and apply it to the Emeperor's painting in Owzer's house.
If you cannot fathom what that means, than you do not deserve Final Fantasy III.
A Relic Ring for Free
Normally Relic Rings can only be acquired by finding them. However,
there is one that you don't have to fight a battle to find. This one is hidden
on Owzer, the art lover's house. There is a place deep inside where there are
three doors clicking open and shut. Behind them, all the way on the left, at
the top, is a hidden chest which contains a Relic Ring.
Relic Ring/Cursed Ring/Thornlet
The Relic Ring, Cursed Ring, and Thornlet all have a single source; the
SrBehemoths. The best place to find them is the Veldt. Equip somebody with the
Esper of Ragnarok, then use it (Metamorph) on an SrBehemoth when you find one.
If you're lucky, you'll get one of the three above-mentioned things. The
Thornlet is especially valuable, as it can be traded for a powerful Mirage Vest
at the Colosseum. A second source of Thornlets is the Metamorphing of Veterans.
Also, this is one of the only ways you can get a Relic Ring. The Cursed Ring is
cursed, unfortunately. Equip if for a battle and see what happens :-(
To get the Magicite "Terrato," see the section on acquiring Umaro.
To get the Magicite "Alexandr," see the section on the hidden Cyan scnario.
To get the Magicite "Ragnarok"
You must once again return to Narshe. Here's a summary:
Weapon Shop. Be shore you have Locke in the party to pick the locks on the
doors. Enter the shop, and go downstairs. A man there will offer you either:
1) The sword "Ragnarok" (Randomly casts Flare, and high ATK Pwr)
or
2) The Magicite "Ragnarok," (UltimaX1, a VERY VERY VERY strong spell)
Either way, you win big. The sword is AWESOME, and casts a very powerful
spell quite often. The Magicite teaches you what is most likely the second most
powerful spell in the game. You also get, if you choose the Magicite, the
ability to Metamorph enemies, AKA turn them into items. That is, potentially,
more important than the swrod, in my opinion. Although you might no think so if
you've got the Offering and a Genji Glove. Imagine, Atma Weapon in one hand,
Ragnarok in the other, each hitting the enemies four times, casting Flare once
or twice, causing huge damage. Good against bosses. Then again, Ultima is a
spell that will blow away most enemies with one casting, and if you have the
Economizer, you can cast it for 1 MP instead of 88, making it the 2nd most
powerful low-cost spell in the whole game.
Raganrok Sword or Ragnarok Esper...The Big Decision
Think it's simple? NO! Even though I have recommended the Esper, either
way you win BIG. You might actually want the sword instead. Ultima is strong,
and Metamorph is valuable, but the sword is incredible. Normally I wouldn't
give stats, but:

Now how's that? The power of the Atma Weapon...the power of Flare...
the power of statistics going to their maximum all in your grasp with one super
powerful weapon. Well, IT GETS BETTER!!!!! READ THIS NEXT ONE!!!
How to get the Legendary Sword Illumina
This is the most powerful weapon, possibly, in the entire Final Fantasy
series. The only way you can get it is by trading in the Ragnarok Sword at the
Colosseum. The monster is Didalos. If you win, you will receive the incredible
weapon, Illumina! I don't normally give stats, but Ragnarok and Illumina
deserve the attention:
Vigor :+7
Stamina :+7
Speed :+7
MagPwr :+7
Bat Pwr : 255
Evade :+50%
M Evade :+50%
Randomly casts Pearl
Uses MP to Inflict Mortal Blow
Now that makes the Ragnarok sword worth getting, possibly! The choice
is yours; ultra-powerful Sword or ultra-powerful Spell. Which are you more
interested in? It's an individual decision. Choose wisely, as you're stuck
whichever you choose for the rest of the game!
To get the Magicite "Odin," and (when you want to upgrade) "Raiden"
You must do the Following (long description) :
return to Figaro Castle. Choose to go to the place offered (depending on where
you are) (Note: this will NOT work on your first use of the submerge mode, and
you must have the Airship). About 1/4 of the way there, the screen will
black out, and you will reappear inside the castle. The controller of the
engine will say, "Something odd about this stratum...it's almost as if we've
bumped into something." This means you have discovered the Ancient Castle. You
may return here as many times as you want. I suggest having the Moogle Charm at
this point. Go up the stairs, then, once up, go down the ones on the right. Go
to the bottom-righ jail cell, which is open. Go straight up into the passage
which leads into the underground maze before the castle. Inside here are
several valuable treasure chests. Be prepared to fight for them, however, as
you will encounter the Master Pug in one of them! Nothing GREAT here, just sub-
cool items you can trade for. Once you get through the maze, you will enter
the Ancient Castle. Here, you will encounter powerful enemies like you have
never seen before. Many of them are VERY dangerous, like the Boxed Set, which
enjoys casting Meteor, or the deadly Lethal Weapon, which enjoys DESTROYING
your guys with the incredibly powerful ROCKET LAUNCHER! Moogle Charm is VERY
handy here. First, go to the upper-left of the Castle wall. You should find an
entrance. Go inside, and get the chest. Then go back outside and around to the
front of the castle. Go inside. The upper-uppper-left (not lower-upper-left)
(you'll see what I mean) corner containts another entrance. Oh, a note about
these entrances. Many look like a pillar with a space on either side. The door
is inside the space you can't see, so if you don't find it, move around out of
sight until you do. Bacl to the finding of the Magicites. This door contains
a treasure chest. Grab it. Then go to the lower-upper-right entrance (the
upper-upper-right is not an entrance, though it looks like it, and the lower-
upper left leads to the other side of the empty jail cell you got the treasure
in from outside the castle.) and enter it. You are in the Queen's room. Search
the bookcase to get a letter detailing the Queen's love for Odin. Oh, in case
you could ACTUALLY miss it, the Odin Magicite was sitting in the middle of the
throne room in plain sight. Boy, this is a long one. So, now you have the
letter. You may keep Odin (and learn Meteor for a while, which can also be
learned from Crusader, so don't worry if you want to upgrade right away), or you
may get Raiden. To get Raiden, return to the throne room. Align yourself
vertically with the Queen's throne. From as far up as you may get without being
in back of the throne, go down five spaces and hit the 'A' button to search the
step. YOU MUST BE ON THIS SQUARE TO TRIGGER THE SWITCH! There will be a bang,
and when you return to the Queen's room, a new staircase has appeared. Go down
it. No enemies here. There IS a dragon here, so either avoid it and come back
for it later while you get Raiden, or simply slaughter it. Details on the
Dragons are located later in this hint file. Either way, walk up to the statue
of the Queen. Search it once you have Odin, and a tear will fall from the
statue. This will make Odin gain a level and become Raiden. Three additional
notes. First, in the room you enter from outside the castle to get a chest in,
the chest contains KatanaSoul, so be prepared to fight! Second, there is
another door, this one sub-secret, that I missed on my first time through. If
you look very carefully at the wall to the right of the castle entrance, you may
notice a black spot in it. This is actually a door leading to a chamber which
contains a treasure chest which holds the Punisher Staff. It uses MP for mortal
blows. Third, you may not want to have Odin gain a level just yet. Odin, and
not Raiden, is the ONLY ESPER IN THE GAME CAPABLE OF RAISING SPEED AT LEVEL UP!
So if you want to increase speed (how fast you can attack again in battle), the
only way is to equip Odin for a while.
To get the Magicite "Crusader," you must defeat 8 Dragons. These are found
spread out over the entire world. Here are the locations and names of them.
1. Dirt Dragon (Opera House) Fall onto the stage. Switch in Control Room.
2. ??? Dragon (Fanatics' Tower) In a treasure room.
3. Skull Dragon (Tower of Kefka) In a room you must pass through.
4. Jade Dragon (Triangle Zone) Step on the switch near the first save point.
5. Ice Dragon (Narshe) In the place where you fought to save Banon near cliffs.
6. ??? Dragon (Tower of Kefka) Another room you must go through.
7. ??? Dragon (Phoenix Cave) You'll see it.
8. Blue Dragon (Ancient Castle) Near where Odin gains a level.
Crusader teaches you MeteorX10, and MetonX1. See the spell list for
more info. You also get to see the screen go red and sound effects (yeah!).
Air Anchor (Makes Enemies Self-Destructive)
There are 3 ways to get this mysterious, powerful Tool. One is by
climbing the Fanatics' Tower, and searching the tile to the right of the first
treasure chest. This will make another door appear below the one you just
entered. Eneter it to find the Air Anchor in a chest. The scond way is to
trade for the Air Anchor in the Colosseum (see list later in file) . The third
way is to actually find the one un-hidden chest in the game with an Air Anchor.
When used, the Air Anchor shoots out a set of three, I don't know, uhh, THINGS.
If successful, the enemy will take some minor damage and a phrase like "Move and
you're dust!" will appear. Now, if the enemy tries ANYTHING, spell casting,
fighting, defending, etc., they will instantly perish before they can complete
the action. Nice, eh?
Cursed Shield
The Cursed Shield is a mysterious item. It has an effect of -7 on your
first four stats. If used in battle, you will be Berserked, Condemned, and
Muddled. The shield's weak point is everything (great, huh?). But imagine if
you could uncurse it...the ability to absorb HP from EVERY KIND OF MAGIC
ELEMENTAL ATTACK!!!! Sound good? To get the cursed shield, go to Narshe. Go
towards the upper-left quarter of the town. Look for a platform that didn't
used to be there. It looks like icy-metal stuff. There should be a good-sized
house on it. Eneter this. Talk to the man in his bed and you will receive the
Cursed Sheild. To uncurse it, you will need to fight 255 battles. These
battles can be ANYWHERE. This includes the Veldt, where you won't gain levels
at a disadvantage from the lowered stats caused by the Cursed Shield.
<<>> You MUST, M*U*S*T have the RELIC Ribbon equipped while fighting
ALL 255 battles. The only statys change you will have is that you will be
condemned. Keep fighting. You might want 4 people in the party.
Paladin Shield
Gotten by the process of decursing the Cursed Shield. The Paladin
Shield redefines the decision of taking the Ragnarok Esper or the Sword. This
incredible shield has no weak point. It absorbs or has no effect on every spell
in the game. It apparently secretly blocks mortal spells like Doom. In
addition, your Dodge and M. Dodge wil increase greatly. On top of all this, it
teaches you Ultima X 1. Want more? There is! All the stats that were lowered
by the Cursed Shield are raised by 7 with this shield equipped. By the way,
when you uncurse the Cursed Shield, make sure you don't miss the transformation
to the Paladin Shield. All it will do is say "Dispelled the curse from the
shield," in a normal report box after the 255th battle.
The Hidden Relm and Strago Scenario
To get to this scenario, you must enter the home town of Strago and Relm
(in case you don't know, only in the World of Ruin, and it's in the Southeastern
corner of the map). Strago and Relm will discover that Gungho has been
seriously injured. He tells of Hidon, the legendary monster that he and Strago
used to hunt. Now the cave in Ebot's Rock is open. Go inside with a large
party, preferably including Mog. Get around 60 pieces of Coral from the chests
inside.
Then leave without talking to the living treasure chest. Save your game
and MAKE SURE it is saved! The next part is difficult for an low to medium
level Strago. I STRONGLY suggest having Fire3, and if you don't, you better
have at least Fire2! Enter the cave and talk to the treasure chest. It will
eat the coral. If you have enough, it will move aside for you. Go past and get
ready for a big fight with Hidon. For the first fight, DO NOT DEFEAT THE SMALL
HIDONITES!!! Ignore them. Cast your strongest Fire spell on Hidon himself
until he dies. You see, only Strago can make Hidon appear the first time.
After you have killed him, walk or Warp out. Get your strongest party together,
and make sure to bring Strago along. Now go through the cave again. When you
get to Hidon again, cast only your strongest Bolt spells on all. It will bounce
of of one Hidonite, but this is OK. Once you have destroyed all but 1 Hidonite
and Hidon, start using Super Balls. They should eventually kill the small
Hidonite. If you wish, you may use the alternative method of bouncing a Bolt
spell off of a Wall. It is easier to use Super Balls, though. Once all the
Hidonites are dead, Hidon will cast the Lore GrandTrain. Strago should learn
this. A very powerful spell, second only to Ultima, and maybe not even second
at all, but first. You decide.
Oh yeah, after killing Hidon the first time, you shouldn't have to Warp,
if I remember right. You should automatically eneter the nifty end to Strago's
scenario.
The Hidden Cyan Scenario
To get teh hidden Cyan scenario, you must go to Doma castle with FOUR
members in the party, one of whom MUST BY CYAN. Sleep in the free-inn-like
place. Cyan's soul will be entered. From here, you will go through a few
situations. Put your strongest member last in the party.
Before the scenes, you will be in Cyan's main soul. Find both other
non-Cyan members of the party. Go to the center door when you have them. Fight
the little dweebs there (kill the one that casts Life2, the middle one, first).
Steal, then kill. Now go through the door. You will go to...
First, a Phantom Trian. This part is easy. Follow the cars, and
when you find the room with the six chests arranged in a pattern, write that
pattern down. Get the Lump of Metal, then touch the moving treasure chest to
weigh it down so you can pass. After you touch the switch on the Engine, you
will be teleported to another scenario.
Second, a mountain scene featuring Magi-Tek armor. Here, follow Cyan
until you get to the caves that keep repeating forever. When you enter one of
the repeating caves on the right, immediately step back outside to escape the
loop and eneter the last scenario.
Third, Doma Castle. Here, look around to see Cyan doing various things
in his past. Then, approach the throne room. WARNING!!! WARNING!!! DO NOT
PROCEED FORWARD WITHOUT X-ZONE!!! When you talk to Wrexsoul, he will attack you
and set two minions upon you. They will come back forever. The only way to
defeat them is with X-Zone, which will gobble them up nicely. No more Wrexsoul,
and Cyan's soul is free. Here you will receive the Magicite Alexandr, which is
very powerful, and is the only Esper that can teach you Pearl! In addition,
your SwdTech skills will attain level 8, and you will receive the Aura sword.
Find the final Megalixir
What good is a Megalixir? Incredibly good! It restores the HP and MP
of the whole party! It can bring you back from the edge of defeat to the tide
of victory. The 2nd (and last) Megalixir in the whole game is found by a
successful Steal/Capture from Kefka himself... My suggestion is that you do
this as the battle begins, then use it when he casts Fallen One on your guys.
Save your extra one for when you get in trouble!

HOW TO MAKE YOUR CHARACTER VIRTUALLY INVINCIBLE

This is probably the best thing I have found in any of the Final Fantasy
games. Would you like to have a character who almost never gets hit by any
weapons or spells (except the ones you can't dodge like Meteor and Ultima)?
Then you want to read this. Unfortunately, you can only make one or two of the
characters, but you can come close to 3. The first ingredient for the character
is the Illumina Sword. This will increase M.Dodge by 50%, as well as Evade.
The second ingredient is the Force Shield. Now your M.Dodge will increase by
50% again, bringing you over 100% (YES, you can go beyond 100%). For the third
ingredient, and the fourth, you will want to wear the Armor and Helmet that make
Dodge% go up the most (look at them as you equip them). The final ingredient is
the Relic Beads or the Relic Zephyr Cape. You probably want the Beads, as you
already have a high M.Dodge but still a Evade below 100%. The higher you go,
the less likely you are to be hit. Unfortunately, the game is wrong and you CAN
be hit, on extremely rare random times, by the enemies. Now here's some sugges-
tions as to how you can put these ultimate characters to good use!
þ Fight alone! Gain his/her Levels until he/she reaches Level 99!
þ Learn W.Wind. Cast it on all. You won't take damage, period. The enemy,
though, will lose 90% of their hitpoints!
þ Slaughter those annoying things in the Colosseum that were too strong for you!
þ Hit with the Sword and before the enemy dies, Osmose it's MPs to fill yours!
þ Enjoy sub-invincibility! Battle the bosses when all the others die!
These are a few suggestions. Believe me, this combination of Armor,
Helmet, Weapon, Shield, and Relics will make you so powerful that a level 20 guy
could easily slaughter several Tyranosaurs. Oh yes, you do have one weakness.
The weakness is that in a Pincer Attack, if you're facing the other
direction when the enemy attacks, then, like normal, you must take damage. The
other weakness isn't really a weakness, but unfortunate. Spells like Meteor and
Ultima, which normally cannot be dodged, still cannot be. So watch out for the
enemies that use those spells in particular. Quake cannot be blocked, either.
Aside from those, you are in no danger from any magic except your own! The same
goes for Weapons, the only one that can hurt you is yours, generally. Now, with
all this, you're wondering...well, now what, right? Well, here's what. Your
stats are all raised by the Illumina Sword, and by some Armors. This means that
your Stamina is also raised, and the result is more HP/MP per Level Up!
Now, it IS possible to come extremely close to this configuration on a
character without the Illumina Sword. You will want the same Armors mentioned
above. Then, if your M.Dodge% is still below 100 and so is your Evade%, then
you may want a Zephyr Cape Relic. It increses both a little. Then add either
another one of those or add the RELIC Beads (Evade up 20%). For a weapon,
equip something powerful that increases your Evade or M.Dodge %s. That is just
about the highest you are going to get. If you want to focus on M.Dodge%,
then you can equip the Mirage Vest and become partially immune to Weapons (the
effect wears off after a random number of misses in each battle), and in that
way concentrate your Relics and other Armors on M.Dodge% increases.

THE "HIDDEN" CHARACTERS

This section will reveal how to aquire both, or perhaps three, since Mog is a
character non-essential to acquire, of the "hidden" characters. They are not
very well "hidden," that's for sure. They did a bad job of making these
characters difficult to find.
Gogo:
Equipable with Relics? YES
Equipable with Weapons/Armor? YES
Equipable with Espers? NO
Battle Tactics: Gogo's only command in aside from Item is Mimic. The Mimic
command will repeat the last action that occured just before Gogo's attack. He
can Mimic ANY normal, or abnormal, attacks, both magic and physical. He does
not need MP, because his MP is never consumed. Let me give an example of what
Gogo can and cannot Mimic:
Ex 1: Sabin executes a Bum Rush just before Gogo's attack. Gogo then performs
a Bum Rush. The damage inflicted is NOT the same, but depends on Gogo's status,
not Sabin's.
Ex 2: Celes casts Shell on herself just before Gogo's attack. Gogo will then
cast Shell on himself, as well. However, Gogo's MP will not decrease.
Ex 3: Locke attacks the enemy just before Gogo's attack. Gogo attacks with HIS
OWN weapon, according to his own statistics.
Basically, Gogo can Mimic any magic or Skills that exist in the game. This will
make him invaluable. When you are fighting, there is a technique I refer to as
the ultimate Mantra combination. First have Sabin do the Mantra just before
Gogo. This will heal the party except for Sabin. Now Gogo will do a Mantra.
He will heal everyone except himself, thus the party has been restored by a
large amount of HPs. It is difficult to see the value of this without actually
trying it a few times. It can save your life in a desperate situation!
>>>IMPORTANT SECRET<<< Well, it's a sort-of-secret. If you go to his
Status screen, you may select an open slot below Mimic and choose any skill
except Morph to insert there. Blitz, Tools, SwdTech, Rage, and Lore all will
have the options open that the character with the real skill has. Magic is
the cumulative known spells in your party. If you use Magic, Gogo will use
his MPs, wheras if you use Mimic on someone's spell, Gogo's MP will remain the
same.
Umaro:
Equipable with Relics? YES
Equipable with Weapons/Armors? NO
Equipable with Espers? NO
Battle Tactics: We'll start with Umaro not having a Blizzard Orb. He will
simply attack the enemy. He can also pick up a character and throw them at the
enemy. He also flies at the enemy. Throwing a character does not damage the
character but causes good amounts of damage to the enemy. If equipped with the
Relic called Blizzard Orb, he will randomly cast a non-MP-consuming Blizzard,
which is quite powerful and looks like Sun Flare. If equipped with a Rage Ring,
Umaro will have more power when he attacks.
Mog:
Equipable with Relics? YES
Equipable with Weapons/Armors? YES
Equipable with Espers? YES
Battle Tactics: Mog is listed here because he is a non-essential character in
the game. All other characters aside from Gogo, Umaro and Shadow are essential
to play the game. Mog's skill is Dance. He may stumble sometimes, and then
his Dance will fail. Once he starts dancing, he will continue to do so until
the end of the battle or until he is killed. Here is a list of his Dances and
how to get them. Just remeber, you must use the command FIGHT once on Mog for:
Wind Song - Fight in the open.
Forest Suite - Fight in the forest.
Desert Aria - Fight in a desert.
Love Sonata - Fight in a town (like Zozo).
Earth Blues - Fight in the mountains (a good choice is the Sabil Mtn Range).
Water Rondo - Fight in the Serpent Trench in the World of Balance (see section
on how to get Mog's Water Rondo).
Dusk Requiem - Learned at the beginning of the game. Fight in a cave.
Snowman Jazz - Fight in the mountains of Narshe (World of Ruin ONLY).
Shadow:
Equipable with Relics: YES
Equipable with Weapons/Armors: YES
Equipable with Espers: YES
Battle Tactics: Shadow is listed here for the same reason as Mog. Anyway, you
can get him for the first time when you first arrive at Gau's Father's house.
He is a valuable party member with extremely powerful attacks. His Throw
technique often causes massive damage. Buy some throwing weapons for him when
you reach Mobliz. Also, when Shadow blocks (up until the time when Relm hits
the scene and keeps Interceptor with her for a while), he sometimes blocks with
a little dog symbol. Shadow may take a small amount of damage, and then his
dog, Interceptor, will come in and do a huge amount of damage to the enemy that
attacked. Very helpful. Shadow is generally an excellent character. It's too
bad you can't keep him in the part permanantly until the World of Ruin.
Well, now you know all about the hidden characters. They all make
superb group members, and excel in battle. Take them with you when you're after
some power! A special trick: In the Fanatics' Tower, you can only use magic.
But if Umaro is in your party, since he can't use magic, he can attack
regualrly causing massive damage to the physically weak magic users! Also,
put Gogo in a party and he can mimic the powerful spells you cast, saving the
party valuable MPs!
