AVATAR
by nexus_dragon

And the world cried out, "My children!"
against the very rocks and earth of birth
foolishly called champions, wandering exiled and alone
one of them, a prophecy of light and dark
a warcry for one voice
the other, a voice of reason.

Together, towers rose and empires creased on the edge of day
the paradigms of order as man's reign began
knowing the price of rularship
thrown against the walls of dissention between opposing forces
who gave the meaning of sin in the name of my Father,
a terrible and ravaging war that bespoke
of angels and devils.

For love, a cause, forged a compact of names
underneath, in a place no one could call home
with a breath of compassion, a kiss, one rose
night fails and my mission falls as the prisioners
of a forgotten war sweep the world again
"damned" to spreading the voices of reason once more
hunted by my and my Father's Avatar.
