Monday September 2, 2002 - Labor Day Fun at Hill Middle School, 9:00-1:00. Come for basketball and other games--a time to kick back and get prepared for the new school year. Past activities Sunday December 9, 2001 - Rev. Nareth May's visit to IFC - 3:00 worship. Kruu Nareth shared a very timely message from Matthew about letting our light shine. It was the first time he had attended our regular Sunday meeting and we were all blessed by his love and his wisdom! August 2-5, 2001 -- IFC Camping Trip at Hurkey Creek in Riverside County. The theme was Relationships. We were encouraged to deepen our relationships with our parents, friends and God. A long dry hike to Suicide Rock started things off on our first full day. After that there were games, cards, cooking, eating, singing and sharing...and a lot of just hanging out together. Total attendance was 19. Click here for photos. July 9-14, 2001 -- 20th Annual District Conference in Memphis, TN -- What a wonderful get-together with the Cambodian Evangelical Church delegates! Ken and Jim attended and were blessed by the opportunity for ministry and seeing old friends and were strengthened and encouraged by the faith of the Cambodian Church and its concern for the Second Generation--in America and Cambodia. Here is a link to a summary of the week: Conference Report ![]() Sunday July 16, 2000 --The service
project at the Long Beach Rescue Mission was a big success. We
had 11 servers in our group and served for two hours, from slicing
onions and cucumbers and setting tables to serving the food and
washing dishes and pots and pans. Everyone had a good unified
spirit and worked hard. Some of the kids were heard to say that
they wanted to keep working because it was so fun and remarked
how good they felt afterward. We hope to do it again and possibly
make it a regular event on our calendar. Sunday November 12 -- David Witt of Voice of the Martyrs, an organization that supports the persecuted church throughout the world, spoke during our worship service. He touched us with personal stories of Christians suffering for their faith and challenged us to be "martyrs" wherever God places us. Check out www.persecution.com , the VOM web site, to stay updated on the latest news and urgent prayer requests. Thursday November 23 -- Thanksgiving -- A small get-together for the IFC family. The food was great plus we had a nice time of expressing our gratitude--especially to Bob and Nancy for their service to our church during the past two years. Mea culpa to the crew from Northern California who dropped in...er...just as we were...uh...completing clean-up....it seems that they were given erroneous information about the starting time of the feast by one of our members!! © 2001 International Fellowship of Christ ![]() |
