Hello all,

How's your life? How are things? Well it's really hot over here. The plane
ride was really long and boring, so nothing to speak of about that. we
arrive in Phnom penh on wednesday. we didn't do much except going to the
central market and eating crocodile at the crocodile restaurant. the next
day we went to the "hospital." it was kinda sad, but we passed out oranges
and prayed for the people. we got to play around with the kids. they were a
cool bunch. after that we went to the student center and met some Cambodian
college kids. it was cool cuz they sung "we wanna see" in khmer. maybe we
can sing that when we get back. we had a good time there. Friday we went
with the drummands. they have a ministry to serve the Vietnamese living in
Phnom penh. the Vietnamese are the poorest of the poor here. they have an
awesome ministry. later we went back to the hospital and did our puppet show
for the kids. they really enjoyed it. then we went upstairs and did all our
dramas and our singing for the adults. I shared my testimony with them. our
leader Bob covolo shred form the word to them. not all of them are Christian
so pray that the seeds of the gospel were planted in their hearts. I went
back outside during all this and played with the kids. they are exhausting.
but it was great. saturday we had breakfast with some business people from
new life church. we then went to tou sleng nd the killing fields. it was
really a hard day for me. I had feelings of gratefulness mixed anger and
frustration. but God really encouraged me after that. we went to Cambodian
Christian arts ministry (ccam). it's a school where they teach the arts;
singing, dancing, guitar, keyboard, etc. everyone there is basically an
orphan. we did our whole show for them. lots of the guys came up to me and
thanked me for sharing my testimony. and they also said they enjoyed our
puppet show. they could relating to losing a parent and told me stories
about that. one guy gave me his bracelet to wear and I'm wearing it now. we
had a great time of fellowship afterwards. sunday we visited tumnouk thuk
church. it was cool. and we hung out. some people got to ride an elephant.
we also went to the Olympic stadium and I found a rope hanging from the
ceiling and we played George of the jungle for a while. we also got to play
basketball with some guy there. andy (he's 6"7') dunked on some people.
after that we went to ccam again for a worship service. well that's all
folks. keep us in prayer. pray for health. sometimes serei and sorina have
felt really sick. sorina threw once. pray that God will continue to use us
to bless these ministries we are in contact with.. it's monday over here now
and I have to eat breakfast before we have a team meeting. later.

Godspeed,
Sophath Kong

p.s. internet is $2 for 15 minutes so we decided to use it sparingly. that's
why there has been no update till now.
