| Link's Great Adventure began on a fateful day in the Kokiri Village. Link, a boy of age ten was awakened from his slumber by the fairy that would soon become his. He had never had a fairy like all the other Kokiri had from birth, but now he was like them. But indeed he was not like them at all. He was summoned by the great Deku Tree, protector of the forest and was told that he was the hero that would save hyrule from great evil.
He began his quest by ridding the Deku tree of it's "demons", though it later perished anyway. He then went on to gather the three spiritual stones and opened the door of time with the magical ocarina given to him by princess Zelda. After traveling through time, Link discovered he had been in a state of suspended animation for seven years. He awoke to discover his world in ruin and many changes that had occured. He now had to rid all of the sacred temples of evil and rescue the six imprisoned sages. And so the story goes...
