Scandinavian Festival 2004

This year was disappointing for me as I did not find what I was hoping for. That, and I could not get
any decent pix amount even though I was equipped with a digital camera. I am not angry I went as I did
find material as always that I wanted. I even found out who the Swedish hjelper of Kirsten ala "Kirsten of Copenhangen" is even if it is a long name.

I did get many questions answered thanks to the larger local Sonnen av Norge lodge and one very helpful
Norsk Frøken (Frøken is Norwegian for Miss) who spoke excellent Engelsk despite having arrived in USA only 8 months ago. [She had
started her Engelsk lesjons in primary school or USA elementary. Norway has primary school and secondary school
with junior high and senior high wrapped up in secondary school. If I had not already asked so many questions of her,
I might have requested a pix. I thought pix request might be pushing my luck so I did not. She was from Oslo area while
her female friend was from Northern Norway.

I may go back on Sunday as I found out after getting home that Norwegian Consulate was supposedly present. They may
be able to answer some questions that the absent and desired Den Norske Sjømannsmisjon could not. That and I was forced to leave
sooner than I had planned on. I had just purchased one of the four remaining Lefse packets from Sonnen av Norge. Lefse needs to
stay cool or eating it can be a gamble on "Food Poisoning" dice which I would rather pass.

I had some specific questions for this Scandinavian group. They may or may not show up at the upcoming Midsummer Festival not far where
the Scandia Festival took place. There are some questions only Den Norske Sjømannsmisjon can answer. I may email them if I am stymied too long.
I am very partial to asking my questions in person face to face as these may or may not be faux pass or whatever the Norsk call it;
If I Uff da, I want a chance to correct any miscommunication immediately which I can not do via email. I also very much want a chance,
however small, to practice my currently very crude Norsk. If the representitives from Den Norske Sjømannsmisjon are like last year, this will
probably not be a problem.

The next local Scandia Festival in my area will be Midsummer Festival or MidSommer in June.

Elkhound Download and Use instructions
01) Download Elkhound pieces 1 to 5 without question.
02) You download and extract all the pieces into one common directory and then choose a path.
A) Use MS DOS Copy command with binary switch
B) Use GSPlit if you have it.
C) Download and Use the supplied reuniter executable. Place it in the same directory as the other pieces and then execute it.
03) Once the Cab file has been rebuilt, extract the movie file (MOV) from it via any modern file compression tool that supports Cabinet files.
A fairly good freeware one is ZipGenius.
I would like to upload the other Mov file I have yet my available free space is too small. I plan on swapping out the two current Mov files for this one in the future.
